Thank you for showing this video. I am a defender of first Nations People. I will get raged on for saying this. I have seen Fish Pens in the Vancouver Island area. It gives them money on Raising Atlanta Salmon fish farms. They can have lots of salmon for the tribe. Having said that I definitely don't defend this young man. If he killed that man, he did it in a Drunken rage. They have banned "Boz" in far north Alaska tribes, just because of this. No defense for this guy, but it was White men that first brought "Boz" to First Nations People. That's NO excuse for murder. But "Boz" and indian tribes don't mix This is the result. I have listened to Mexicans that think the Lower States still belongs to Mexico. Have to remind them, early Heroes in this country Fought and Died to get those States (Texas) a lot of First Nations People still HATE every white man, the "Boz" just flames that flame.

Sadly many of our native youth don't see second chance after catching a charge under juvenile guidelines, they view it as graduating from major crimes university. I hope he does recognize the huge break, but honestly don't see that happening after watching his entitlement mentality and his wanna be gangsta. Our younger generation are ashamed of being a tribal member from the reservation, it never fails, they wanna be crip and when they move off the rez they end up dead. Dead because they get caught wearing colors of the "real" street gang. I probably would have been either dead or locked up in BOP FCI Phx if it weren't for my military enlistment. Made a career of it and went in LEO, now retired to a small community away from the rez. End!

It's called an External Locus of control. You'll often see this with Narcissists and perpetrators of Domestic Violence. With these people it is always someone or something else causing the problems, never them. They do not have the ability to critically analyze their own actions and change it accordingly because, according to them, they are always right and can do no wrong. It is also often used as a way to manipulate others.

☑️ You're 100% right. This kid has adopted the mindset that he is a victim of society, and therefore he isn't responsible for his own actions. He blames everyone but himself, and therefore he has no remorse for the pain and loss that he personally causes. Unfortunately, that mindset is only going to spread, because it's being used as a political strategy by our most powerful & influential institutions, such as: 👉 The democratic party and other leftist political parties across the western world 👉 Our educational system 👉 The "news" media 👉 Liberal/progressive activist groups ^These leftists are constantly encouraging the non-white population to scapegoat the Caucasian race for most(or all) the problems they experience in life. What's even more ridiculous and irresponsible, is that these same leftists will call YOU a racist if you encourage personal responsibility among members of their various "protected classes". It's obvious why politicians and "news" media promote this nonsense, because it leads to personal failure and govt dependency among blacks and Latinos, which leftist politicians parlay into more political power for themselves. They must be racist to think that white people are mentally competent enough to be held responsible for their own actions, but that non-whites AREN'T mentally competent, and can't be held to the same standards!

@@CarveWood-vw2yi That’s a bad take man. The parents of one of the columbine killers are two of the nicest people ever. His mom wrote a book about the pain of losing her son and for the victims who died because of her son. That’s a rough place to be man, you have no idea how that feels, and thankfully most of us never will. There are plenty of people with alcoholic parents who don’t stab people. There are plenty of people who stab people that didn’t have alcoholic parents. People suffer from alcoholism, but can still be loving parents, which is a lot better than being a sober parent who hates their kid. Lots of the kids who are school shooters, gang bangers, etc, fell into that pit because of their surroundings outside of the home, whether it’s the streets or hateful Internet forums that celebrate violence and isolationism. It’s not all on the parents.

@@CarlosAlvarado-sf6km let me tell you something I see, because it looks like something I experience. The dad doing his pity party "I'm dying, please be easy for me to deal with" is a result of his own drug and alcohol use. This kid was probably raised in a household ruled by addiction. That's why this kid is running wild. That's where he learned this manipulation tactic. This kid just murdered someone and the dad makes it about him first to open up his vulnerability and soften him up. His condition is his fault and so is his failings in raising this kid and forcing him to learn these histrionic maladaptive tactics. Now he's clean just in time to be "dying" and he he expects all the damage he did to his son to go away because he's provided a few years of a stable household.

We only get a half hour look into these people's lives.. More than half was the dad and son talking.. As a father, of a 24yr old, I know it can be tough.. You love your kids and you don't want to hurt them, and they don't want to listen because they know everything.. It's a huge project to raise them right.. Most of the work is done in the first decade, the communication and respect has to have a solid foundation for them to continue growing. If it's weak, it will all come crumbling down. You have to put in the work.. This father seems like he did the minimum.. Maybe above average for a short time.. But with the parents split apart.. The dad havung cirrhosis (probably a heavy drinker, leading to more problems).. He set his kid up for failure.. He let the other kids/internet/media sculpt his outlook and demeanor.. He wants to be gangsta, so he's got a body count and no high school diploma. He'll end up right where he started.. The sins of the father last for a lifetime. Neglect and IGNOREance.

Heartbreaking to hear the conversation between a broken father and son. I wish I never put my parents through the hell I put them through but I did looking back on it through an outside perspective by way of this video made tears fall from my eyes. Don't get it twisted though im a convict who paroled from a California state prison, and has been everywhere in between but I wish I could undue the hurt I put my little sweet mom and family through. Wish my dad cared that much though, he wouldn't have come down there to help or talk to me like this kids did. Hard to see what you have in front of you at that age and truly appreciate it, by the time you do those loved ones may have closed the door of their hearts to protect themselves from the pain that comes with codependency. My truth and message for young "gangsters" out there would be this, just be yourself and surround yourself with people that wanna push you to succeed in life by any means. None of your homeboys from the streets or the hood are gonna write you or send you money when your in prison or worse dead. But family is forever. It was the perfect combination of tough-love and encouragement. That man helped me turn my life around. I ended up graduating highschool my junior year. My dad had me go to class before and after school to work on senior level courses. It was exhausting, but that meant I had zero time to fuck around with the kids in my neighborhood. Then I joined the military, had kids, and now have a master's degree and a small business. Most of my friends are locked up or either have 5+ kids while living in government housing. The real problem is the father made it about himself first. It's the "woe is me" thing which is the keystone of being a narcissist. His son is arrested for murder and immediately he's doing the "Think of me! My health is bad! My brother died!" bullshit. Not to mention the whole "Why didn't you do what I said? If you did, you'd be in a better spot!" thing that narcissists do all the time to show how they should be the ones making the decisions for people. Look at 19:11 for the clearest sign: Abusers do this shit all the time. "If you don't want me, just tell me to go!", hoping their victim won't do that because the abuser has tried to establish reliance. Except then when the victim is just like "Okay fine, go.", then they immediately walk it back and try do the "Why did you say that? [Insert obvious plea for sympathy - here another thing about his dead brother.]" Don't get me wrong, the son has become dangerous and is abusive himself to others now, but let's not pretend the dad isn't a narcissist with a Messiah complex who's tried to establish control even within this video, too, which likely created the monster in his son via the cycle of abuse.

Seeing the dad decline into the abyss once he realizes there is dried blood on his son's T-shirt broke my heart. That poor father, trying to save his son from completely ruining his life. "Why didn't you just stay at my place and chill like I told you to?" If only the son had.. if only. But now he's a criminal, and will have learned more "tricks of the trade" while in juvenile lock-down, and will no-doubt be in adult prison soon enough.

It’s sad to see a father come to terms with the fact his child is no longer the one they remember, and all that innocence is gone. You can tell the pain and betrayal he feels. This is a dad who loves his child. Despite his son's cruelty, he still tries to do what a father should; help, support, and make things okay. But he doesn't let him. There's a point when you need to realize that you've done everything you can, and that while you will always love your child, sometimes it's best to let them go. I hope this man finds healing and lives a happy life free on his son's abuse. Edit: Everyone fighting in the replies honestly makes me sad. A life was lost, and another young life will be spent behind bars. A third is watching his son go to prison while fighting a deadly illness. I think that everyone in this situation has made mistakes at some point, not saying this guy was a perfect father. But I just thought it was an all-around tragic situation. Please stop pointing the finger. No one's free of blame and I'm sure this man will live with guilt for his son's actions, as any sane parent would. Wishing everyone in this healing.
