So Orochi's grandma - named Higarashi - transformed into 2 members of the Rocks pirates : Golen Lion Shiki and Miss Bucking which indicates that Higarashi was also a member of the Rocks pirates
Just wanna say I found your one piece watch through literally a week ago and it brings me so much joy in finding someone that has just found new love in one piece
When it comes to Shiki the Golden Lion, all we know is that he was on Rocks' crew, which Orochi's Grandma was also a part of, hence why she had his face in her transformation collection. After the Rocks Pirates disbanded he would eventually fight Roger as detailed in Chapter 0 which is canon, then get butt hurt about Roger's death and take his complaints to Marineford. Garp and Sengoku whooped his arse and he got tossed into Impel Down, only to escape thru chopping his legs off. What he does after his escape is non-canon now, but that just means he's out there somewhere plotting something.
Oden is a lot of things, but "intelligent" isn't one of them. Yasuie is who tells the Scabbards to clean themselves up and Oden never prepares to become Shogun, he never wanted to be a leader and he never even wanted subordinates.
Ehhh idk, personally, I viewed him as intelligent in the same way I think of Luffy's intelligence. Neither one is going to be solving any world mysteries by themselves, but when surrounded by the right people, their childish curiosity and goofiness can become something much more. I guess you could say that it's just a case of him being at the right place at the right time, and that his often reckless ideas (most of which would've and probably should've gotten him killed lmao) outweigh his achievements, I would still put him on the more intelligent side of characters. (Again, not exactly *intelligent* in the traditional Robin/Law sense, but you get what I mean) Though the Yasuie scene had completely slipped my mind, so I that's definitely a mistake on my part 😬
@@Koroto I've always called it emotional intelligence, and an innate ability to sense what's in a person. Luffy couldn't even sail a ship, so there's no way he would ever find the One Piece by himself. But as soon as he first met his crewmates he knew that they had something that he didn't and that he would need their help to become to pirate king.
@@Koroto I think of , "child-like faith" . To be childlike is not a put down, it means you see things clearly and simply , ie Luffy, "So you're telling me I just need to beat up X and we're good, right?" Incredibly simple minded but also correct and it cuts past all the BS other people get caught up in.
In regards to Blackbeard, the 3 Souls theory is a pretty common theory in this community, so don't feel bad in regards to it supposedly being wack haha. Ye. Like, I remember reading this since the Sanji is a Prince Theory :D 👍
Fun fact about Kanjuro : he was introduced eating with his right hand showing it's his dominant one , but every single time he was shown drawing has been with his left hand , meaning he made all of his drawings intentionally terrible in order to sabotage the good guys
@@AlexT7916 could he not have made bad drawing with his dominant hands? also Ryonosuke was the single greatest piece of art ever created so don't you dare call him a shitty drawing 😤😤
Teh great thing about Kanjuro is that, when looking back at his actions across all the arcs where he appeared, he had always been trying to set back the crew and we didn't even notice XD.
If the 'Blackbeard is three people' theory is correct I bet his third personality is the happy dreamer he came off as when we first met him. The brain, the muscle, and the dreamer.
18:30 you probably already know, but coincidentally in chapter 134, the chapter right after the one mentioning Blackbeard for the first time, Luffy casually drops some trivia about how "people born in winter countries don't sleep" XD. 28:50 it's also worth mentioning that Roger did not collect all the poneglyphs... he did have all the road ones and SEVERAL of the other ones, but not ALL of them. Hence they didn't learn the complete true history. I don't think that has anything to do with being "too early", but it's still worth mentioning. 34:45 it's also cool that there are hidden details of his betrayal, in chapter 920 after they were sent to the future, you can see some birds flying. That is Kanjuro sending a message to Orochi. I also remember someone saying that every time he drew "badly" he used his left hand, while he uses his right hand when he draws well (but I'm not sure if it's true).
For one Roger himself literally states he was to late to witness anything but to early to change anything, like Roger himself says it was a "right place to early thing"
Toki fruit would be reborn in the decade that she is in as the soul of the fruit would reincarnate to a nearby fruit. Roger wouldnt ask toki about the void century due to the same reason luffy didnt ask rayleigh about the one piece it would just ruin the adventure.
I'd like to share 2 theories with you and hear your thoughts: 1) Blackbeard has ALREADY 3 fruits: he has a mythical zoan-type model Kraken, or at the very least an octopus devil fruit, because these animals have 3 hearts and they sleep intermittently 40 seconds at a time, so it looks like they are always awake! 2) (personal theory, maybe dumb but whatever) the treasure on Laugh Tale is a ship. A spaceship. And near that, a timer counting down that signals when it will take off. So Roger was too early, but Luffy will arrive just in time to take off and adventure between the stars.
A general rule of thumb for one piece movie is that Whatever happened there is non-canon BUT! characters are canon. The one you showed is Golden Lion Shiki, he is allegedly the rival of Roger and was defeated by Roger and sent to impel down. When luffy escaped impel down the marine said that there was only one before who escaped from there and it was Shiki.
@@universanity9295 I don’t think Tesoro or Bullet are canon because Bullet didn’t appear in the Oden flashback and I feel Tesoro would at least be mentioned by some random celestial dragons or maybe a member of the Donquixote family Edit: it is possible for World to be canon, we would have to wait and see for Elbaf. Zephyr having existed would be a pretty easy way to give Borsalino a back story.
Toki's prophecy is not a prophecy. She's making things happen, but she's telling that as a "prophecy" so people would believe it harder in times of oppression
And now if you read back you can see the little hints Oda planted that Kanjuro is the traitor. (fe he ate the lettuce with his right hand, but pretends to be left handed, thus the shitty paintings, the ladder in Dressrosa so the pirates could climb up, the little birds flying away around him, to inform Orochi, the 'so the little brat survived' comment etc etc)
I started watching one piece right before you did, so I gotta say it's been a fun journey. I'm glad to see you love this show as much as I have, and I've appreciated your thoughts along the way.
As I was reading my" 3 in one" copy of vol 1,2,3. Sanji say this about Zeff..." He used to cook for a famous Pirate" I've never seen it this way in my 20 years. I have to go and find more about this
The funny thing about Laugh Tale (pun intended) is that the name was revealed in a movie before the manga did. But many new One Piece fans think that the manga did it first and refuse to watch the movie until it’s revealed in the manga/anime.
I love One Piece, I think that much is clear, but let me just say this - the concept of One Piece films is just about the most stupid thing I have ever seen 😭 Trying to decipher what you should and shouldn't pay attention to is high-key frustrating in as detail-centric of a series as One Piece imo, so I definitely don't blame them.😄
now let me get my tinfoil on you‘re setting up a ,,chef kiss‘‘ tier for wano. theres no way you aren‘t calling out a single chefs kiss for the entirety of wano.
Yes the Road Poneglyph on Big Mom's Island was the one on Fishman Island. Jinbe was the one who delivered it and was one of the reasons Big Mom Protected Fishman Island.
I honestly think the big dream is to just throw the biggest party in the world for everyone to enjoy Look at the end of majority of the arcs and listen to what luffy says about his crew and specifically who he wants on his crew Luffy as the reincarnation of joy boy just wants everyone to eat and laugh and be kind to each other In other words freedom Look at all the songs opening songs and the overall story of wano A new sun is dawning on the bleak dark work, a new sun that will shine freedom and peace on the new era Sun god nika/luffy/joyboy is that rising sun The way sabo and ace just laugh and say that's just like him It makes sense
Bm had a road pone all along Roger said he stole a rubbing from her before he reached fishmen island for the 2nd then zou for the third then wano for the last. The theory now is wb crew has the missing pone that was on fishmen island
Golden Lion Shiki is a canon character. He appears in chapter zero, that Oda drew at the release of his film. The film itself and its events are not canon. There is nothing really confusing about it... Luffy shows up in all OP movies, that doesn't make the movies canon, or Luffy non-canon.
In fact, Blackbeard not sleeping has been alluded to previously. Back in ch. 134 during Drum Island (recall this is actually the first time we learn about Blackbeard since he's the reason Wapol fled in the first place) Luffy makes an off-hand comment to Sanji "By the way, did you know that people who live in snow countries don't sleep? If they fall asleep, they'll die." Then skip forward to ch. 440 (though actually I need to reference Ep. 325 for the original Japanese; the offical Viz translation just says "you've been around for a real long time") and Ace says to blackbeard right before their duel something like "having lived twice as long as a normal person, there's no way you don't understand what you did" (hito no bai no jinsei wa ? de omae wa). Fan translations frequently also say "twice as long". On rewatch both of these completely blew my mind.
One thing that tipped me off early is Kanjiro fights right handed but draws left handed and I always thought that was weird... Turns out there was a reason for that and I'm more perceptive than I realized.
If you like One Piece, you should totally check Kingdom manga. It's a series about a young boy who fights his way to become a great general in warring states era. Amazing stuff, high recommended!
I can’t remember what it was, but back in zou when kanjuro and kinemon were climbing the elephant and kept falling, I felt like kanjuro was purposefully sabotaging the climb up and couldn’t figure why but it just felt off. I just wrote it off as a weird gag but then the reveal happened
3 thijgs about the toki toki fruit 1. To be fair if her fruit would have traveled back in time we probably either would have heard abouta another time traveler or something along those lines, 2 but also since the fruit can only transports people and things forward in time and it cant go back at all i dont think the fruit can go back, 3.since when a fruit user dies thier soul goes to the nearest fruit then i also dont think her soul would go back in time
The Canon parts of One Piece movies are the flashbacks or some plot details Shiki exists and was a Roger's rival (Strong world/ Episode 0) Uta exist and was a Luffy's friend (Film Red) Rafael being called Laughtale (Stampede) Basically, if the strawhats meet with them, that didn't happened
Maybe? But I kinda doubt it - whoever/whatever Joy Boy happens to be, I think rivaling the anticipation that Roger has had for literally 900+ chapters/ episodes is going to be very very hard imo. 😅
11:57 Already forgot about the scene that depicts her death in the anime (I know how Oda can be about fake-out deaths, but the deaths in flashbacks tend to stick...most of the time)
Shiki is definitely a canon character. One Piece Strong World is not canon (no movie is canon) but Shiki was a member of the Rocks Pirates, and there was a Strong World Chapter 0, a manga chapter (that was also adapted in to an OVA episode) that is canon and features Shiki. (and before anyone says anything, no Film Red is not canon. Uta has appeared in the manga (as a silhouette/memory of Shanks'), so she is canon. The feats displayed in Film Red are canon (as this was our way to see some of what Shanks and some others are actually capable of, for the first time), but nothing that happened in Film Red is canon).
The theory that Blackbeard is three people is pretty excepted espacially with the comment Zoro made on Jaya. But personally I think his third devil fruit will be a Zoan. The 'Moon God' to be precise opposed to Luffys Sun God ability. Then he would have a Zoan, a Paramicia and a Logia. One thing though since the Darkness fruit is a pretty weird Logia it might just be the Zoan fruit in disguise
I keep seeing many call Luffy or Oden dumb, but thats far from the true, they arent dumb nor stupid, just unkowing, they dont know the world and are discovering it, they are us the audience, learning about the world and loving the adventure Luffy does make name mistakes but thats more him not really caring about specific subjects than just being dumb, but you rarely see anyone tell him something twice, he does ask from time to time and in english it looks like repeating, but thats because Japan have many words with multiple meanings, that sound extreamly similar or are written much like one another, that Luffy is more asking which of those meanings it is, untranslatable jokes, and that is mostly cause at the end, One Piece is a Shonen, there are many young buys and girls who dont know how the more complex words many other characters use, something Oda also uses extreamly well, like Robin and Chopper talking in more complex Hiragana for their smarts while Luffy in Hiragana for ease of read and things like that
One thing, it wasn't Oden who told his samurai to study, It was Yasuie who gave them that advice and provided them with the means to do so. Yasuie was pretty much Oden's father figure during his time in exile. Also One Piece movies aren't "half-canon", they just simply are not canon. The exception is Strong World, because it was the only movie written by Oda himself. The story is not canon--but the character Shiki, along with his devil fruit and crew, is canon. So I guess you can call it "half-canon", but it is the ONLY movie that has done this.
Honestly, I think oda has spelled out very clearly how people get stronger in one piece. You get the crud beat out of you. Each time someone is shown taking damage and healing from it, they come back stronger. If you understand this, you understand wano.
me watching this video while still having the entire raid left and hoping I'll not get any spoilers for it other than the ones i had already gotten prior to even starting the series: Koroto: wdym the raid is a part of Act 3 🤨🤨
Maybe im wrong but I think you should be mindful people watch these videos for your perspective. I would take a more unapologetic stance on your views. It's fine to have bs theories that don't pan out. I feel like half the fun is a good story that keeps of guessing and im glad none of us have it perfectly figured out. I enjoyed the video
You're pretty late on the 3 blackbeards theory as most theorist had said it since we met blackbeard because luffy and zorro said 'not him them' about blackbeard.
Nah, most of the theorists I've seen are saying it's about blackbeard himself. I personally don't like making theories when I watch things or read things. But if I had to say thematically it would make more sense if blackbeard had multiple personalities.
@@Koroto well to put it simply wano to me was an arc with a bloated cast of characters and storylines that either went nowhere or were resolved in an underwhelming manner. Ice oni, Yamato, Kaidos lack of characterization, and the beast pirates as a whole are just some of the low points for me.
Wano act 3 broke me but it wasn't because it was the best story ever told. Tbh it doesn't feel much like a story at all later on cuz last I checked I'm supposed to feel things in a story. This wasn't as much a story as it was just a plot outline of way too many characters being continually repositioned to their respect fights and winning in the most underwhelming ways possible. At very few parts of the arc did I feel like I was able to get a good chunk of time dedicated to just taking in any specific character's personalities or motivations. Were always told why this and that person is great or what they're fighting for but never shown it. Meanwhile characters that have no substance at all are given the majority of screen time, and to top it off you have the longest arc in the series that some how feels like it was rushed because so much of its set up was pointless. It didn't really feel like Luffy truly becoming a yonko to me because of how moronic and easy their victory was here. I didn't feel these characters struggle for one bit, it was conveyed very poorly and was completely predictable. Probably the only time I can think of in the series where they make a plan and stick to it to a tee with no deviation. Really boring to be told what is going to happened in the story over two years prior.
I can't remember when but at some point during FMI or WCI it is stated that Jinbei gifted Big Mom a ponegliff in exchange for the protection of Fishman Island, however during Oden's flashback Roger steals a ponegliff from WCI, so unless I'm wrong the missing ponegliff is a plot-hole.
No. Jimbe give Big Mom a normal poneglyph that he found in the cover stories. And it wasn't for the protection on Fishman island because that happen between Fish-Man Island Arc and Whole Cake Island Arc. We dont know where the missing one is.
