If you're constantly feeling out of breath and find yourself focusing too much on that feeling, you can try making some changes to your workout to keep things exciting!
Here are two great tips:
#1: Adjust your definition of Cardio! You don’t need to run on a treadmill or get on an exercise bike! The reality of cardio is that cardio is anything that gets your heart beating faster!
Pick activities that you’re having so much fun with that you don’t even notice you’re out of breath. Whether that cardio activity is dancing, chasing your kids around, Beat Saber, or Dance Dance Revolution (take me to the arcade!!)
#2: Adjust how far you think you need to push for yourself. You don’t need to run until you are out of breath. You can push yourself a teeny tiny bit faster than your walking pace, and that’s totally fine! It still counts as cardio. Over time, you can slightly increase that pace so that you’ll get a little more comfortable with being uncomfortable!
Eventually, you might find yourself dancing or playing beat saber so intense it's like your Spiderman battling the Green Goblin!
Keep that heart healthy and strong, and get your cardio on!
