This game’s story script sounds like something I would write if I had gone two days on five hours of sleep and chugged 2 Red Bulls beforehand. And I don’t really know how to deal with the implications of that.
You genuinely had me for a moment with this video title, I thought it was gonna be a modded Revengeance run! I’ve been interested in this game for a while now though so I’m really glad to see someone I trust play through it and give their take on the game! It might influence whether I decide to buy it or not!
This channel is likely canon in the Wanted: Dead universe Lol I think this is an Eminem reference at 7:50 The line in the Real Slim Shady is "Dr. Dre, don't just stand there, OPERATE!"
"How does it feel to go down on your sister?" "I'm from Wisconsin." Me: Not with that accent! 🤣. And I think his response was saying that he's not from Alabama, the unfortunate state I happen to live in that has a running joke about incest being prevelant. But that still didn't answer the dude's question or explain if he's really sleeping with his sister 😬
Fun fact : the voice actress for Gunsmith, Stephanie Joonsten, also did a cover for this game's version of "She Works Hard For The Money" originally by Donna Summer. You can find it in the publisher's youtube page, it's a pretty good cover. So her being crap at the the karaoke has to be intentional to some degree. The game is far more similar to WET and Devil's Third though but I can see why you got MGR vibes. As for Kolchack at 7:46, consider this : she's like Quiet yet you have the actual Quiet in the game as Gunsmith, that's how how she looks and sounds IRL.
There actually is an easy mode: Nero-Chan Mode. You have to put it in a code at the title screen, and it unlocks it. The MC also wears cat ears in this mode.
there's experimental games like D4 and deadly preminition, but it seems like the devs honestly didn't have any fucking idea what they wanted to do with this game
Enjoyed watching this after playing it first myself! My impressions are almost the same as yours although I never really experienced any crashes at all. Maybe the copy provided to you was the faulty version, as there were for some reason two different versions to choose from on Steam which was fixed now. I lol'd at you saving the chainsaw for the double katana ninja and the big heavy dudes because that's exactly what I did! Normal is just not normal difficulty even to Ninja Gaiden II's Acolyte or Warrior standards, Hannah takes way too few hits for it to be fair. The story dialogue was just so corny for me to take seriously but I think that was the intention, rarely are people so serious about things in real life that the casualness of character interactions seems so real in a weird sort of way. I'm not quite sure about the ending as what I got was not a very happy one so I'm wondering if there's some sort of true ending like in Soleil's previous title Valkyrie Elysium.
I actually had an idea for a game in the style of MGR but with a female lead, only I intended it to be in a high-fantasy setting. Glad to know there are similar things out there, it's worth checking out for me to compare the ideas. Also good job as always, my man! P.S. I love how YT also thinks this is MGR
This is a SWERY game, I refuse to believe otherwise. This kind of dialogue is the kind of so bad it's good brilliance that only SWERY can provide. You want more proof?! Look: 3:27 FK! Like the... Oh wait... nah, it's just a skull, nevermind.
i think alot of people would forgive this game for feeling really low budget. but man that pricetag is awful and the overall quality of the game does not help
no easy difficulty only normal difficulty and it's super hard yep, that sure sounds like the guys who made dead or alive 4 with the bullshit ai also wow have i never seen such a weird mashup of things in a game with no cohesion whatsoever random anime cutscenes, bad rhythm minigame, absolutely befuddling dialogue
Certainly a reminder why I avoid big company games... Because they don't make interesting games these. I prefer small/Medium size company games with a semblance of soul put into them than a glorified soulless visual spectacle.
