This WAP hairstyle is bringing back so many 90s memories for all of us!
This updo hairstyle is inspired by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion music video WAP.
There were so many different hairstyles and makeup looks in their music video but the black updo hairstyle was my absolute favorite.
This hairstyle requires no lace and no sewing, all you need is braiding hair and curly crochet hair to achieve this look.

This is reminds me 80's and 90's Bronner Brother's Hair Show "Up Do's pontail styles".... We use to call it the pincurl ponytail in my day as a hairstylist down south...We also use microwave the hair to get the curls😀

My hair is super short, but I appreciate the ease of doing a ponytail RIGHT! I use the same spray and plan to purchase that gel. I use Lottabody edge control gel for my soft holds, such that my edges doesn't fall out.

As far as spraying and putting the gel around the head to keep its hold, maybe put the gel on (a real good amount...no need for spray, but use if you want), wrap white tissue around the hair (the white hair salon tissue.. you know, the tissue they usually put around the neck b4 doing hair), wrap around as much as you need, then put blow dryer to it until it doesn't feel like the tissue isn't sticking to the gel anymore (or when it's real hot on the scalp, shouldn't be long to feel the heat at all). Wish I could explain it better. I probably confused you. Sorry. TO ME, that keeps the hold MUCH longer, than simply doing it the way you did. At least that's how I used to do it when wanting a similar look. I let my hairstylist do my hair these days. Too tired for myself to do all that upkeep lol!
