We were listening commentary on radio pakistan today after so many years i watched this on u tube. I remember we all residents of our locality were listening on a single radio on a road side. The traffic were stopped shops were shut. Thanx u tube.

I remember this match very well. At that time we call waqar younas I think Gojranwala Express 🤣🤣. This was best time of my life. At that time I was just 11 years of old and now I am about 40. heard to imagine that time passt so fast. But I am happy that I spend my young age in very very nice atmosphere. still have goosebumps...I remember watching that game back in November 1991...when Bishop dispatched Waqar for a six on 3rd ball of the over we thought that this six took Pakistan's chances of winning the game. Remember this was Pakistan's third game of the tournament and they lost both of their opening games (against WI and India) and this loss could through Pakistan out of the tournament. After this win Pakistan defeated India in the next game and met the same opposition in the final and came out as triumphant.

At that time I was a student of class 10. Waqar was new comer in cricket but generate extreme pace. Waqar younas known as a BOOREWALA EXPRESS. Pakistan won this match due to genuine fast bowling attack. That was the golden era of Pakistan cricket under the captaincy of The Legendary Imran Khan.
I was 8 years old that time and in class 3. I watched and enjoyed this lovely final match with my mother and brothers. Unforgettable due to the sisters praying emotionally for Pakistan. Luv u Pakistan

This match made me Waqar's fan n I started bowling fast after seeing him.. I still remember that day when I was too too small just mainly because of these 2 women in the picture praying 4 Pakistan's win n both of them became the National stars over night..They have so deep impact on our memories that even after 33 years, this match is remembered less because of Waqar's bowling n more because of their praying gestures.. I was is in islamgarh, mirpur, azad kashmir, pakistan when pakistan won the world cup in 1992. Watched the final in a small cafeteria. Wonderful memories alhamdulillah.
Who say that miracles don't happen and prays are not answered I am 200% sure Pakistan won that match just because of those twin Pakistani sisters emotional excited nervous totally into it must have been praying their hearts out through out the match as we can all see specially in the last few extremely tense and excited.overs Salam and appreciation for their patriotism
at that time ladies remained elegant that they atleast prayed from heart, kept their dopatta on head and didn't overjoyed even at win. such was the time of simplicity which is not apparent nowadays

Pakistan won the match due to the prayers of both girls I still remember the girls especially sitting left..my age fellow then .now u can guess my age at present.
Actually this was the time when the players used to play for the pride of Pakistan but not for the price for themselves, because each play they played was fascinating and full of excitement, the people would die for their defeat and triumphed on their win, people used to pray for their success in their prayers. But now the the cricket has become a source of money and fame, the players who are selected, have some backdoor recommendations, because today's cricket has lost its genuine aesthetics.

Before 1992 leg side but Very close to wickets delivery was not wide bowl . After some months cricket laws change and then every leg side delivery is wide . But in 1991 law was deferent.
It's would be great for morning shows to bring these two ladies and see where are they and what are they up to. These were great memories in the evening watching the match.

Pakistan lost first two matches of the tournament , almost out of the tournament then won this third game by just 1 run & beat india by just 4 runs in the next one qualifying for the final where they defeated india to clinch the tournament.
he was seriously quick during his prime time, I remember in the early 2000s during a tri-series in England, he was bowling nearly 150kmph, u can imagine how quick he was in the early 90s.

remember watching as a 7 uear old kid and my father after watching these two ladies praying said to me ," remember my son, god doesnt interfere to change results of game,who plays well wins is the decided rule of god".After seeing pak win i was proud of my team performance bcz they won by playing well. goosebumps.thanks for reminding me that golden time.nice share
