Real 9.7 to 10.7 is the sweetspot everything above 11.0 is hell tough if you have like the mig23 11.0 spaded and you downtier once I the 30 games it's Hella fun
Seeing the 6x R60MKs hurt my soul, take the R-13M1s on the inner pylons instead of the singular R60MKs as even with the R-13M1 being rear-aspect it can hit some insane shots and ignore flares.
In this BR it would be very difficult, especially with a 10g max OL missile. You will 99% of the time compete against 12.0 jets which can twitch a little and avoid.
@@Spcwes1 IIRC, the R-13M1 maximum overload is 20g and it’s usually a guaranteed hit if you’re going faster than your enemy below 2.5-3.5km, with the missile only losing compared to the R-60 as it has a dual pylon option.
Agree with your 11.0 is hell. From the American line the F5C and Phantoms shouldn’t have to face F-16’s and MiG’s. When I got to that point in the grind. It made it super difficult to go against jets that are way deeper in tech than what I was using. Now that I’m top tier it’s a one sided fight against the planes I came from. It’s not really fun when I’m curb stomping either. I truly believe that 11.0 should have its on seperate battles.
@@MrUniversTV yeah I don't If its because I'm using them in the SU25BM but they just seem so of and I can't hardly guarantee a hit unless there 0.80 miles away or just over
Yeah, I have to be closer than 1k for 60s or 73s to do any good and we all know the su25bm is shit for dogfighting so imo they may be "great" but not on the su platform
@@christopherchartier3017 pretty much every US main when r73 is to be added. Or when IR missiles are going to receive buffs/nerfs. Or when arguing about ussr bias.
One thing univers, chaff is not useless. It's the guidance system of SARH missiles doing the work of ignoring. Basically the radar lock illuminates a certain area, in which the seeker then can see. Now i don't know how pulse seekers work, assuming they see the actual reflection of the target and guide for it. CW missiles (such as sparrow or R-23/4/7) do not care about the reflection itself, they will go for the thing with the highest closing speed within the iluminated area, and this is why if you want chaff to be effective against CW missiles you notch and chaff or turn cold and chaff. Full head on chaff will only work against pulse missiles, now if you do some rolling while pulling etc, it will confuse the missile slightly allowing you to eventually dodge it kinematically.
Chaff is only useful when notching or against pulse missiles. Notching causes a huge lose in speed and also opens you up for attacks from the rear/side. If anyone with a brain knows what they are doing they can easily take advantage of this and use it to win. therefore making it virtually useless. Especially in top tier where even notching and rear aspect radar missiles love to ignore chaff and continue tracking. lol
@@MrUniversTVChaffing in Rear Aspect is super reliable in my experience. But even though chaff works it’s worthless since with 16vs16 notching one person opens you up to 5 others so you are better off using just flares and hugging the deck.
@@Soldo66666 Only if you dont have r-60m, on high br its usable only at point blank with about same range. And unlike r-60m you will need to aim it at enemy, not just lock launch and dodge bullets.
hey Universe i was hoping maybe you could do i guide on grinding the F4S im just so close to top tier thanks to your F-5c guide I am currently researching the F 16A 🎉🥳
I've been trying to play the Russian mig 21 bis and it's infuriating. I'm getting bodied by f16s, f14s, mig 29s, and F4s. it's awful. I love the mig 21 bis, but it's impossible to succeed in it while it's 11.0. it needs to be brought down to 10.7 imo.
yeah 11.0 is just fucked. Trying to use the JA37C, in a full down tier i absolutely dominate then in an uptier i get completely shafted. Not much fun tbh its really frustrating
Counts for all radar missiles with CW seeker, initial guidance is with plane radar (can be any type usable for guidance), terminal approach of missile (when it goes "pitbull") it uses its own radar which is CW in the AIM7. CW also works using the doppler effect, so it doesn't matter if the plane that launches the missile has PD or not at that point
@@kajmak64bit76 only if pre chaff before launch or during guidance by non PD radar of aircraft, when missile’s CW radar takes over control during last part of flight it will work with Doppler. Check what radar each SARH missile has internally, if it has CW then last part of flight (terminal, or pitbull) it will work with continuous wave (CW) which has a Doppler filter. This is why when you shoot an aim7 when not using PD and during part of the flight you lock onto chaff but missile still hits the target… because at that part of flight missiles own CW radar already took over control and it won’t care about chaff because it works with Doppler
4:05 It's because its a CW Missile which means that chaff will confuse the plane's radar but not the missile so he'll lose lock but the missile will still track for a bit. All sparrows have CW so they will all do this no matter what radar the plane has. Pulse radar missiles will go apeshit if you chaff even once. This problem is greatest on the Mirage F1C which uses a nice PD radar but uses Pulse 530F missiles. Essentially the missiles will not fire looking down, will lose lock for random bullshit, and will mostly fall for people using Mixed countermeasures. Apparently the 530F is supposed to have a chaff resistance which some guy posted on the forums about but it wasn't fixed at all.
I dunno, I grabbed the Lazur to grind out the 29g. I consistently get 16c and 29g/smt kills and love the challenge of the up-tier and the seal clubbing of down-tiers. The Lazur and the 16c are hands down my favorites at their BR.
came back to say after top tier got increased to 12.7 the BIS is back the F14 is its only natural enemy right now. I have a lot of fun now flogging f5c and f5e
Literally my comment this morning when playing my 21bis. I just stopped. Its absolutely hell right now. Edit: I wanted to come back and say that 4 R-60Ms and two R-13M1s is the way to go. The 13s are pretty flare resistant which help secure kills.
I disagree that the 21bis is handicapped at 12.0. When that thing is spaded and you know what to do with it you can really fuck with people's heads, because the premium F4s think you're a free kill and the F-16s dont pay you any attention, so with 6 R60MKs you can skitter around on the deck at mach 1 boom and zooming on enemies who don't know you're there. You can cause chaos and it gives the top tiers such a headache it's kind of beautiful.
11.0 soviets and eastern block is completely different from US 11.0 The US and NATO bloc gets downtiered due to the F5 spam and the 21s 23s 27s get fucked because of the teams already being filled for that br, at least from what ive seen
The Aim7-E2 goes after the largest target within a certain area of the radar's lock, I cant remember where the video was that I saw this, but in game I can personally say that it is in fact a thing in game. I should say that although it is in game, I do not know of its reality,
Chaff does work, I just don’t think you know how it interacts with the radar missiles. Either way, it’s still not super helpful in current top tier unless your aircraft can carry a lot of countermeasures.
most 21s have 23mm, which for me is pretty reliable. A hit is usually a kill. Unfortuantelly, realshatter or not, it's still inaccurate and low velocity with low ammo, so...
Would you have J'ed out for your stats or tried to carry if they let you land tho? And btw you are not a douchbag for not leaving the game, I like to always try and fight till the end. :)
If no one chased and no one else died it would’ve been 1v7 and in the mig21bis there would’ve been no way I was gonna win that so I would j’ed out to save my stats. But 3 peoples crashed/ died making the odds even better for me
I have the sl to spare so i always fight till the end, even if the situation looks hopeless. And who even cares about stats anyway. Having big K:D number dousn't matter when you can't back it up. Besides, most players judge skill based on winrate anyway.
This is how gayjin tryes to frustrate people into pay real money in game. Its a marketing strategy and it works since alot of id iots still buy their premiums.
Would you recommend the lazur m to grind Germany for the mig-29g? Or stick with the mig-23ml to grind Russia for the 29smt when the premiums go on sale
I see it all the time, people calling the only enemy/friendly fighter remaining a pussy for having to face a 1v6 and staying at AF. Like, what else do you want him to do???
The whole BR system is garbage... Most stuff with a .X at the end is mostly unplayable as you have to face mostly uptiers. I love to play the F-4C, yet without countermeasures the most times I die is to premium migs with R3R or some R-60 missiles, the rest is balanced and comes to pilot errors, how it should be. But I quit playing BR 11 completely, its just such a mess.
You're title in-game is "RAMMER" LMFAO don't know why I'm surprised. You're not even bad at the game, imagine your leaderboard ranking if you thought about living more often.
