Today its moved to 8.7 with the Mk 5 And its decent But my problem is the R3 players still reaches that tier :/

Literally. This thing fucking sucks. I'm trying so hard to make her work, but I just get killed by armoured cars with APFSDS / Laser Range Finders that do everything for the player. There are even tech tree tanks that are able to piss on you at any distance with ease. It's as if Gaijin forgot that these things even exist.

Nah, Gaijin has stated that the Mk5 is more efficient than the Mk3 and that it justifies the BR difference.

@@JamesVDBosch I think they have previous with making statements like that though about certain tanks, panther A's access to APCR along with it's performance justifying its battle rating of 6.0 is one example if I remember correctly, and then preceding to drop their respective battle ratings in a subsequent update. Maybe I am just clutching at straws though.

Especially a leopard 1 l44, t55 am1 or a type 74g. Those are the best balance tank at 8.7/s

But what we see here is the objectively better tank is cheaper and at the same br and class. That better vehicle is the panther. And yet, it is claimed that the Sherman is OP and the Panther suffers. Yeah, yeah, T34 is "OP". The fuck do people think the king tiger, or panther, or any German tank used competently is? Anyways, I needed to vent that, if anyone wants to copy-paste that into one of their arguments feel free, we *really* need to expose how bad USA from 4.0-6.3 suffers it's absurd.

@@an_f-14_tomcat it's only naturally that you cannot pen a HEAVY TANK aka the tiger 2... You wouldn't understand wtf tigers go through at 6.7 either.. give the people that get a downtier a break. The panther is what you should be worried about. It has about 190mm pen APHE and will pen your Sherman frontally if not angled. It can pen the jumbo front plate if in the right angle. The Panthers turret is a joke, any shot into there and its disabled for 50 seconds or more. You will almost always get both the breach and the ring along side 3 crew.

@@hamzasami8362 I have a Tiger 2 H. It does not in fact suffer. Additionally, the Jumbo gets lolpenned by a Panther through the front plate. So clearly *American* heavies armor doesn't work, but the Tiger 2 H suffers cause it's armor doesn't work very well. Guess what? Use it as a sniper/TD. Know what sucks about the Jumbo? It's armor is subpar *and* the gun is shit. Good job dumbass. Additionally, the Panthers turret is badly protected (it's not). Oh no! The entire fucking Sherman is badly protected. By that I mean it gets lolpenned everywhere.

then the m60a1 should be 8.0 since it struggles and has a worse gun/armor with not so great mobility

loser face I honestly don’t play the M60 so I couldn’t comment but if it’s suffering from the same power creep that has killed off the once great chieftains then I’d be fine that it moved down

I_NAMELESS_I I agree with that comment but the chieftain wouldn’t be overpowered at 8.0. Unless the 8.7’s all become over 9.0 and the top 10.0’s become 11 and there’s a full restructure (like we all want) that’s the other alternative. But the chiefs wouldn’t be OP

I suggested giving the mk.5 apfsds or lowering it to 8.3 the last time they did BR changes, but no luck

But if we include modifications, then we can throw in M4A4 SA50, M4A1 FL 10, and Panther Dauphine Edit: A good portion of the French Aviation makes use of Foreign tech which is sad because Mirage 3 would be cool

@@leebro4822 mirage 3 will come. The 3 tanks you mentioned are nothing compared to what China has, yet they get a supersonic. As for air, it's understandable for a nation to not produce any good ww2 tech if it was occupied.

They are but thanks to gaijins wisdom they detonate in game IRL HESH and APDS warheads do not cook off, only bag charges do.

WT handles normalisation mechanics differently from WoT, and by the time you're driving a chieftain everyone is throwing sabot and HEAT-FS which really don't seem to care about the angling of your tank all that much. Indeed, it is often desirable to have LESS armour as that increases the likelihood of non-damaging through-and-through penetrations. It is also an issue of battle-rating as described in the video. You get uptiered. A lot. The game's power creep is all over the place, and you can never rely on your armour, so staying mobile or hidden is often a better tactic. In addition to that we have aircraft to contend with in realistic battles, so occupying a hull-down position is often just invitation to get bombed to buggery and back. Angling is far more effective and common at lower battle ratings, and tanks like the Churchills are all about putting a little angle on the thing and becoming an immovable bunker. Later tiers it seems that for the most part everyone has the ability to kill everyone else regardless of what you're driving, so the winner of an engagement is going to be the person to spot, range and shoot 90% of the time. WT has far more one-shot kills to contend with than WoT thanks to its damage model, so that teaches you to play very cautiously, and overall there is a much heavier emphasis on 'peek and shoot' play.

Honestly I didn't see much problems when it was at 8.0 if anything after it left 8.0 Britain received quite alot nerfs as br increase or nerfs to hesh and so on

@@alphawolf1786 Depends on a tank you drive. Since it's a heavy tank by its nature (regardless what card says) i always compare it with other heavies around its BR. Moving this thing down to almost the same BR as is4m is absurd. - 9 sec reload, two plane stabilizer, 320mm of pen, perfect gun depression vs - 27 sec reload rate, no stabilizer, 230 mm of point blank pen, and no gun depression whatsoever. Conq at 7.3 is already undertierd since its direct counterpart - is3 simply has no chances against it.

You must be thinking of the 76mm variant. The M4A2 75 could not then or now see the Tiger 1.
