I just finished this book and I'm kind of frustrated because I feel like the ONE thing that would have kept stuff from going south would have been if Zero had TOLD Emika what he was trying to do instead of be vague and ominous. She's reasonable and smart, I feel like she'd have understood...

Warcross was my most hyped book in 2017 and it didn't disappoint. It was soooooo amazing. It might be my favourite book. Warcross (almost) has everything in it. The ideas Marie Lu put in to work in the book is just beyond imaginable! I also liked that Warcross was so diversed and it truly felt awsome having an asian protagonist (as I am one myself). I really really really ship Emika and Hideo, I truly hope it won't change as the series goes on😭❤️

OMG Hideo and Emika was like going to be my new otp until the ending haha. I really, really hope Hideo changes his mind, because if he goes full evil, i ll die, and also, been there done that with The Darkling. So Zero is a good guy? But the way he executes his plan is just not right man. AND WHY DIDNT SASUKE TELL HIDEO OR EMIKA WHO HE IS IN THE FIRST PLACE. ANYWAY, THIS IS MY NEW FAVOURITE.

Karkat Vantas anime and manga have all of them beat when it comes to quantity though. Thats why i couldnt enjoy it. There must be hundreds of manga with the virtual reality premise.

I think Emika will join Zero. It sounds that there's more to Sasuke's backstory. He said to her that she's too good for him. There must be a good reason for that and apparently Sasuke doesn't want Hideo to know that he's zero. And just remember that when Emika had viewed one of Hideo's memory she said that it's as if he's seeing someone else lying on the ground rather than his trainer. There's a deep fury within him and we're yet to know exactly the reason for it. And it seems tht something may developed between Sasuke and Emika. I can tell that he's fascinated with her what with her being a skilled hacker like him. No one else got close to uncovering his identity but her. And also the illness of Hideo's parents sound suspicios enough for me.

This was my intro to Marie Lu and I had heard amazing things about her books but hadn't actually read them, but now I need to to stop the aching void where my heart used to be because THAT ENDING. But seriously, great book, definitely one of my favorites of the year and I'm kind of mad at myself that I waited this long to read it.

What if Hideo lied? What if he tried to lose his brother, after all he created the memory. His brother was smarter than him, and his parents were devastated. Most parents would act that way but what if he was jealous of his brother? And Hideo regrets it later? I don’t know but this is exciting someone get me the next book.... :,(

I just read this book for the first time (way behind, I know) and ohhhh my gosh! This book pulled me out of a reading slump. I haven’t been this enthralled with a book in a long time. The world building was fantastic, all the characters were so unique, and I like that the plot was a lot more detailed and twisted than a lot of other stories but it wasn’t overwhelming. I felt like it was the perfect balance. I suspected Hideo was up to something from the beginning, but I actually thought that he was gonna be Zero for some reason. I didn’t know why, I just had a bad feeling xD I can’t wait to read the second book and figure out how/if they stop him!

Omg I read it. I completeeetly agree with the Grffindor and Slytherin part.😂 also from the very start I was kind of concerned about those glasses and how they work on your brain😂. I loved how thrilling it was but I was kind of dissapointed that it was Sasuke because I saw it coming. I was thinking either Ken or Sasuke. I eventually chose Ken because that would make more sense cause he is with Hideo all the time and wanted to stop his ideas. I also read this book with sci fi soundtrack at the background. Highly recommand doing that!!

I just finished reading Warcross and goodness, SINCE THE FIRST TIME I knew about Zero's plan in the final game, I already had a theory that he is Sasuke, since Hideo said that Sasuke is so much smarter than he could possibly be. And I was so shocked to know that he really is!

I finished the book a few minutes ago and came straight here. I had literally no clue about the big plot twist. Yeah, I knew Zero's identity from the second Hideo said he had a brother, but the other one? No clue. I was nigh hyperventilating while listening to the audiobook. I was breathing in and on the exhale I was just whispering "No Hideo, no"

I READ THIS BOOK IN ONE DAY AND I JUST ENJOYED IT SO MUCH- and the kind of plot twist-ish part somewhat surprised me (hideos true intentions and especially zeros identity) also I pronounce sasuke (sauce-kay) because I grew up with naruto, instead of (suh-soo-kay)

That dragon scene was hands down the coolest thing in the book. For real. And yeah, that Link was creepy and way to close for me, too. And even as I was squealing and shipping Emika and Hideo, I still couldn't stop myself from dreading what would be revealed about Hideo in the end because I just KNEW there was something about him that was not really right. I'm just curious. Since you're against Hideo's plan (even without the threat of it falling in the wrong hands, I'm guessing, based on what you said about being human) what are your thoughts about Death Note? Specifically Kira. If you're not familiar with it, it's about a young man (who will become Kira) who gets his hands on a Death Note, a Death god's notebook that kills whoever's name is written on it, and he uses it to kill criminals. He and Hideo basically have the same goal-- to make the world a better place (albeit in a far more drastic measure in Kira's case). Since Kira is not taking away a person's will and is only killing those who have done or are doing bad things, would you cheer him on or want to stop him?

I wrote a book.. it's not published or anything, and it has a kind of star wars feel to it, but I'm pretty proud of it. I really want that by the end Sasuke and Hidayo meet and Hidayo realized he took things too far and Hidayo+ Emika happen. I’ll call them Mayo (that’s their ship name now for me at least) and ugh I need the rest of the series now.

AS SOON AS I READ THAT HE HAD A BROTHER I was like boop zero. Then when we found out that he was kidnapped and not killed, I was like it's confirmed. By the end of the book I was just glad that Emika finally caught up 😂
