Not gonna lie, explained pretty nicely but if I had to come up with such build and create a character in a league, I would die on calculating cdr and damage taken needed to work
Divine Shield doesnt synergize with this at all. You do want to take phys dmg to trigger your CwDT, for Divine Shield to be effective you need alot of Armor which would lower the dmg you take potentially breaking the loop.
Yea pretty much. It's hard to get defense in the build, especially phys mitigation cuz that scuffs your heartbound loop dmg. But since you never have to stand still or cast anything you can focus on dodging.
Nope, you can only be as tanky as your total ward Any incoming damage (after resistance) that is higher than your total ward will kill you This build needs 0 armor, you cannot have armor. Everything melts, including bosses, you do have to do a bit of dodging though. One good thing is that you only need to focus on movement, CWDT does all the aiming/spamming for you.
@@Turundo you can't scale armour for phys reduction, but you can scale evasion + spell suppression for avoidance. Thankfully, there are creative ways to make the build tankier. Just not invincible :)
Well done video, nice edits, though a couple small points to note: the base cooldown is at .264, 9% is .231, 27% is at .198, and 52%, which isn't worth it imo, is the .165 you highlighted the wrong lines on the forbidden rite gem, it's 40% of life as chaos, and 25% of es as chaos you have very low ward, and your skills aren't ALL triggering on every rotation, you have a damage taken issue on your high level 6 link setups
Yea oops forgot to account for rounding on the base cd scuffed vid. About the ward, I was using asenaths for full screen explosions in scourge, and used two one handers for cold conversion and hatred effect, so I only went for the bare minimum ward required and went for life more life instead. The bladeblast and utility setups were purposely left to trigger every 2nd cycle cuz I had mana issues(also couldn't fit in fr or quality rings lol). I don't lose any damage though due to how bladeblast works
Hi, I am very interested in this mechanic of the build and have a question. So initially the base cd of cwdt is 0.25s. And by achieving the 27% cd recovery rate, we bring the cd of cwdt down to ~ 0.1825, which is within the tick rate timeframe of 0.165 to 0.198. So my question is, do we do that in order for the build to function or we do that in order for the build to do more damage? Because I know that there is a stronger version which is 52% cd recovery rate because it loops faster so it generates more dmg? So isn’t 0.25s still gonna work but just way less dmg compared to 0.1825s and 0.12s ? Please let me know. Thank you.
There's a little more to it,, but yes the purpose of getting more CDR is damage. A shorter cd will also require shorter duration skeletons in order to make use of the lower cooldown. The build the video was based on is from quite a while ago so there's been new tech/discoveries since. Specific numbers aside, you want the cd to be no longer than skeleton duration, the lower the number the better (for more damage). Getting it down to 0.12s is likely not feasible tho (opportunity cost). If you're interested I have a cd calculator linked in the descripti on of my latest video. Wish I could get into the details more, but I'm out of the country with no pc til the end of the week.
@@mmax hi, thank for the reply. Isn't 52% cdr bring 0.25 down to 0.12s? Also you said up to this current league there's been new tech/discoveries made. Can you point out the differences between now and back then?
@@mmax thanks for your reply, how about "reduced" vs "less" calculation? Let's say cwdt level 21 requires 3580 dmg to trigger skills, but then you get reduced 20% amount of dmg taken to trigger. So is it 3580 : 1.20 or is it 3580 x 0.80?
yes. I haven''t played on it since 3.16 (aside from getting footage) so idk about ubers. But at the time, it was able to do everything. It was also buffed in 3.17.
I don't want to say it's impossible because with enough research it might be possible, but I super don't recommend it since the problems you'll run into putting everything together and general troubleshooting will require a pretty good understanding of Poe specific game mechanics. The example shown in the video is also a bit outdated so things will need to be modified
You can't play this as your first ever build, since you can't create a scion as your first character. You unlock it in act 3. You can also not start this build from zero since it requires a bunch of unique items, skill gems and ward items. The only thing you could do is completely respec a character after having the necessary funds. This is kinda risky however, since this build is extremely finnicky and the slightest mistake could brick the build. If you run out of currency before you get the build up and running, you may be better off leveling a whole new character to generate the currency necessary to fix it. I have played this build before but I can't imagine a way to leaguestart this.
The league is on its last month, i refuse to sell my build to make this one. I just hope Ward Loop is not going to die as spellslinger or archmage did and is a viable option next league as a second char or a reroll... Edit: Fuck this league im wating for the next one
@@TimoRutanen uhmm, well, the flask charges is a must, but some evasion and spell supression is also needed, cuz back in 3.17, i had 3.2k life and 1.8k ward and i was dropping like a fly, boss dps was definitely good, but still had around 1k deaths
