Dark sector is a bit hit or miss to take lore from. Nyx was named "Nemesis" in that game and didn't have the same toolkit.

Yeah, I definitely have a feeling people are "proto-ing" every Frame a bit prematurely. Just like people continue begging for "more Umbra Frames," and it's like...how many times do people have to be told, there's only one Umbra, he's special, we're not getting bases, primes and umbras, that's not happening. Same with protos, likely just the 3 starters to give those three starters significance.

​@@RedShadowOfSaturn the reason why people keep asking is because Steve said there would be more. Things have clearly changed but people just glom onto those things. People also act as if Railjacks in Landscapes were a promised thing because of the first public showcasing. (it wasn't nor was it implied). DE just needs to be forward with where they are on these things. I know why they tend to be vague but it's creating more issues then not.

@@LilFeralGangrel They used to do that. They don't do it nearly as much anymore. Rebecca speculates on things sometimes, especially off the cuff during Devshorts and such, but she seems a lot more buttoned up than Steve was. Bless his heart, he wasn't quite cut out for the position of being in the seat he was in. He seems more happy being CEO of DE and programmer and designer on Soulframe, and the Warframe team now seem like they're where they should be too.

It might make sense to do the Launch 8 as protoframes: Excalibur, Mag, Volt, Loki, Ash, Rhino, Trinity and Ember. Maybe add Frost, Saryn and Nyx if we're really feeling spicy. Probably just the 3 starters though.

@@TarotKeichii unfortunately thats usually what happens, railjack, open worlds, duviri, the enemies in general are dated as hell mechanically, but hopefully this is just part of the expansion of the game and not another thing to distract them from all the other stuff

@@chillgamerdude4587I don’t particularly care, but it’s because there’s this strange coincidence of fictional characters with electric powers being black. For example, Black Lightning, Black Vulcan, Static, Storm, Electro from TASM 2, Aqualad, Miles Morales. You could even stretch it to Black Adam and Cyborg but those don’t really count. Heck, even Volt in Warframe’s Railjack animation was black Again, it’s just a coincidence and I don’t actually care, but as a black person it’s fun to joke about when you notice it

While replaying quests is a thing, for example if someone want to remind of The New War they would have to spend 6 hours to play that, which is a hassle and they wont do that, but having cinematic reminder would help a lot.

@@RedShadowOfSaturn necremechs are fun but they aren't useful, nor are they really a vehicle because they're slow as all hell compared to even basic warframes movement so idek how that's relevant, archwing is a good vehicle yes but it's not fun its basically a glorified teleport point if we're being honest, and it was a bandaid because originally it was its own gamemode back in the day but failed horribly, and railjacks is again not really a traditional vehicle because its not for moving around the game as a whole, it's basically just its own gamemode, which i actually wish they'd use more tbh i thought it was great after they fixed it, but 2 of those make no sense in this context because they aren't really applicable for 90% of the game, like archwings are, k drives are useless, horses outside duviri suck, your only decent argument is archwing and like i said you are right, but they're not well designed and could be replaced by teleport pointd making them mostly pointless for actual travel. Yes things can be fun and thats fine to find them fun but that doesn't make them well implemented and they almost always ,in warframe, are gimmicks that quickly get ignored and they add a new gimmick, I'm asking for them to THINK about things they add into the game so they can be enjoyed and have a reason to exist in the game so they aren't pointless, you could remove k drives from the game and it wouldn't really affect anything, that makes them pointless. In duviri the horse eas useful it had a purpose and people liked using it, that's good game design, if the bikes are fun to play but are the worst way to travel most people will never use them because they weren't thought our ot designed to be used in warframe and that is a disservice to the devs and the community who thinks bikes would be cool in the game, not to mention in a year when they probably forget bikes existed and are talking about ridable chocobos or whatever they come up with a lot of people who liked the bikes are gonna be upset because they were an abandoned feature. There's nothing wrong with asking a game company to design their game well, if you are ok with using them because they are cool looking that's fine you have that right, but most people are going to forget they exist like most of the other things they add into these updates. Also last thing idky you're being so passive aggressive if you do stuff just for fun what i said shouldn't bother you 😂

Oh and i couldn't see the last part of your message after i started writing so I'll answer that now, vehicles and mounts in games have one main purpose, to get you around quickly, that is why they exist. So to make the bike useful it should help you to get around faster than usual, if the vehicle is slower than an archwing then it is pointless because there's not reason to use it if archwings exist, so they can either make it faster somehow Which i dont recommend Or they can take away archwings in the zone of 1999 or whatever they do for the update, which is a solution but it makes them useless everywhere else, much like duviri but its better than the first option Or they can give them utility, like you can only get to certain locations by using the bike, similar to how mounts work in GW2 they are designed for specific purposes that's probably the smartest solution imo and honestly I don't think the archwings are healthy for the game because you literally just skip the whole open worlds as a whole in them, but honestly open worlds are mostly empty space aside from duviri so that introduces another problem with content they have abandoned but hopefully that answer makes sense

You basically played semantics the entire time, didn't answer any of my questions, and bandied about trying to define "usefulness" in literally the most boring way possible, and still never came to a conclusion. "Maybe make them used so you can only access certain places." I mean...being used IN certain places...is basically the same thing. This isn't a Metroidvania, because while you're trying to logic your way around the definition of "usefulness" you fail to take into account that a) the community would be pissed if a mech or a ship or a hoverboard were REQUIRED to do certain things, and b) that literally already happens with New War, and people are still aggravated even after they practically hand you a Voidrig, but all good, glad we had this conversation. I really need to not waste my time on know-it-alls in random comment sections. They use the most words possible to say nothing at all, and that's coming from someone who gets accused of doing that myself. PLEASE stop trying to "game dev." Not a good look, bud. Just don't. @@bloodfest8510 with nekros based on his personality (being a being of death or necromancer) it could be extremely dark in nature (It wouldn't be the first time either the chains of Harrow is arguably one of the darkest quests in the game in it's nature) and could be the proto nekros could be more heartless, emotionally cold and dark in nature then any other as for Vauban he is basically the batman of warframe so I can imagine proto Vauban as the one who grew up with technology and knows the ins and outs of technology And I can imagine proto limbo is more of the intelligent man one who can beat the opposition through out smarting them and being smarter than the rest of the protos not just in battle but in general And proto harrow is like the dark priest of warframe so I can imagine the proto harrow being one who is very conflicted by their pain and sins (Just my ideas for those Warframes if those do get a proto version)

Volt being a black dude is hilarious to me in keeping with the trope of black superheroes with electricity haha. I'm still for it though. I'm really hoping Ember, my main, is a sporty, athletic but almost too-cool Latina or carribean sister. So excited for all of this hehe

yes and no No: World of 1999 is probably a different timeline. Yes: Arthur, Aoi and other protoframes are reverse engineered warframes made by Albrecht using Helminth serum and Entrati think's that they will be slowly consumed by it.
