Warhammer 40k Lore - The Hellhound, Imperial Guard Vehicles

Having feilded both Hellhound & Devil Dog together in a few games I can say they make a great team, though I keep a stock LeMan Russ close to them as well as a chimera of Carapice armored IG Veterans for mutual protection especially against Traitor Marines, Traitor Guard & Tyranids (actually those are the only armies I've gotten to fight against so far w/ my IG army ) . The Hellhound &variants will last longer than a Chimera w/its better armored sides but it'll still need some other strong units around tohelp protect them , Hence using the combo. A unit of Armored Sentinels can work, just upgrade 1 to a lascanon & another w/autocannon or missle launcher. The Hellhound will flush out & purge entrenched & stubborn units of all types just back each up w/heavy flamer onthe hull of the hellhound & multimelta on the devil dog as they work best when they're set for just 1 role though giving each a hvy stubber & hunter/seeker missle & smoke launchers will help to hide them the1st round & give them a shot @ nearby armored units the2nd round. Usually if youcan avoid getting your opponent knocking them out early (as he'll definately try as soon as he sees them ) you'll then probably wreak havock on his army the rest of the game. The infantry melter

Any second edition guard players remember how much these destroyed power armoured marines? no to hit roll s6 v t4 means wounds on a 2+ -4 modifier so no armour save. muh ha ha ha

Ooh I like the bane wolf. Astartes need this weapon.

Again if pester the Infantry you're going to get a rather nasty surprise. Be it a stormshard or an inferno cannon. It would be wise to surrender.

Am I the only one who deploys Hellhound and Devil Dogs in their forces but refuses to use Bane Wolfs? They sound far too Nurgle approved for any Imperial Guard Commander I would play to employ them willingly
