there aint no forest on Vraks. nor anything. just fine wasteland covered with trenches and craters and barbed wire...like Krieg 2 but with a little icing of Nurgle on the death world cake
Arch i genuinely love your videos and watch almost all of them. I really think you’d do an amazing job with AOS stories and battles, your favorite old world is still there, just very changed. i think you’d like it, and your videos would be spectacular!
Reminds me of how the wood elves acted in when first worked in total war warhammer 1. Before balance patches they would quickly confederate then explode onto the map taking over everyrhing. A few campaigns i played basicly had them as a much bigger threat than chaos.
My first love army and ALL TIME FAVORITE part of Warhammer Fantasy (before everything became stupid): The Wood Elves/ Athel Loren This was a legendary release! Just take a look at the cover of White Dwarf Magazine No. 308! Even today this design looks so strikingly unique , so otherwordly strange but is at the same time still a true embodiment of the archetypical noble Elvish warrior...graceful? yes but not Tolkien-esque, more like a mischievous pan who steals your child for his armies and swaps it for a changeling made from a block of wood, or just randomly decides to hunt you for entertainmet because for him you are nothing more than an insect! :D Whoever designed the concept/aesthetic for the Asrai is a genius and my personal Jesus! All i know about painting i learned in the dark ages without online tutorials - because the miniatures are so worth it! Especially the dryads look spectacular with ice blue osl...but i digress:)

I wonder what relation the Branchwraiths have with the Dryads. The dryads are from what I recall, awakened by the ward spells that allow wood elf souls to posses dryad body after death, so it is not taken by Slaanesh. Are they more elf, or more wood spirit? Or something else completely.
Reminds me of the One Forest from the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. Alive and slightly sentient. And still willing to kill and eat those that worship trees/wood, and even those that know how to use wood without harming the tree.
I was rather intrigued/confused by the mention of a council of forrest spirits in the Orion omnibus. It goes along with the problem of the forrest having a fragile compact with the Wood Elves, but also goes into the tenuous link between Orion's reincarnation and the forrest's own assent and support. Does that mean there are other version of Athel Loren's greater spirits, like Durthu but with different hosts and attributes?
I wonder if it would have been possible to spread trees like the oak of ages. Might have been a way to diffuse chaos more naturally. Then again, the old ones probably thought the same in creating Athel Loren. Even given a familiar form and a familiar nature, the unpredictable nature of chaos remains.

One magical woods are the same as any magical woods, I mean I spent so much time in the Fay Wilds at one point or another that my eye glow green when looking into the fire or any source of light is shinned at them, and several of my compatriots have gained similar features, the half elf sorcerer wizard mage guy's eye now glow a bright blue when ever he casts a spell and I think he has been juicing on magic roots again, the dwarf warrior got a bit more tall, the high elf babe got....longer hair and I think bigger boobs, well minus the wood elf he just has pair of antlers growing out of his head,....wait scratch that its his hood, But in all nerdy honesty it always great when you make lord videos , I really love you for that bro, all the best till next time,
