Warning To Any New Agent Wanting to Join EXP Realty 

In this video I am warning any new agent that is potentially looking to join EXP Realty to be careful and do your research.

If you're unable to fill out an application for anything...you should not become a real estate agent.

Hi Sonia, I've decided to leave my current broker for eXp Realty. But need to finish the local Realtors mandated two day classes to receive the title of Realtor. I've started the application process but had to pause until I get my licenses from current brokerage and give to state RE division to transfer to eXp Realty. How do I get a sponsor for my market and complete the application process? Please advise.

Hi Sonia, thank you for the video. I recently passed my exam and have my eyes on EXP. However, I'm in a higher-end market here in the suburbs of Seattle and I have never seen an EXP listing in this area. I'm concerned there just isn't any consumer name recognition compared to the local brokerages (at least not yet). Would you say this shouldn't be a concern of mine?

When joining any brokerages, it’s so important to ask about the training, being mentored with the right agents who closes more transactions and what does the brokerage provide to agents when it comes to splitting your commission. Being a newbie, try to shadow an agent in the office if it allows. Watch Ricky Carruth videos which is free coaching..

All I want to know is--how do you buy/sell homes for clients? What am I missing? What is the purpose of recruiting agents if they are not wanting to actually do real estate transactions.

I’m a new registered agent at exp. I feel extremely lost and unmotivated as I don’t know where to start and how I can begin my journey to making my first sale. Aside from making the sale I wanna understand the process and wanna work with a team and additionally receive mentor ship

I have been with exp in New York City for 3 and a half months. I have asked for a mentor but was told there are not any available for my area. I like the training but would really like an office that I could alternate days to go to.

I actually joined exp as a new agent and I’m kind of regretting it. I went through two mentors already. Currently the firm is trying to find another for me but the mentors in exp Atleast in Colorado don’t want to put in the work to actually mentor a new agent. I usually get excuses like they are too busy or are mentoring too many and don’t have the capacity. 🙄 I’m thinking about leaving... I really was excited about joining but so far it has been disappointing... waste of time and money.

You know as good as any of us with eXp, we have no requirements as a sponsor to provide anything at all. Nothing. That being said, I provide coaching and a full plan to build a full, look tight business without paying for buyer leads. I go all in with my sponsees and love helping. It is however written in the independent contractor agreement that the sponsor is the most influential individual in their decision to join eXp

Exp has a terrible mentorship program

I have been in real estate for 20 years and I have never experienced such a bad taste for another brokerage. The exp agents I have dealt with on 3 of the markets I covered seem very detached from the business, inexperienced and rude. Furthermore, ever since they got a hold of my information from a transaction I did with one of the exp agents; they have been calling me non stop trying to recruit me and my team. There are days that I get up to 7 calls from different exp agent trying to book a recruiting me and my team to move over. Truly annoying. Why not just sell real estate, there is enough business to go around.

That's more than 3 questions to ask. More like 3 types of questions to ask. 1. Licensing 2. Training 3. What is offered

Cool video. Wanted to add, all new agents have to submit an application to DBPR before they sit for their state exam. They clearly need to know how to log onto the site to make sure all of their information is correct and also when they are approved to take the exam. I hand hold all of my agents that I bring into my network, that being said- agents need to do the leg work for normal activities of a real estate professional. You can't do these things for them. Also, a sponsor is Not here to provide leads unless there is a normal team structure. I have never in my career or any eXp agent or brokers role as a 'Sponsor' that they provide leads. I provide and train them on how to build their own business if they need it. Some of these points are off-especially after hearing you're 15 years in the business. Still, Cool advice. I feel you are misleading agents into expecting something that isn't reality. A sponsor providing leads is unheard of, UNLESS they are a team leader.
