My HDZero goggles just came yesterday, but haven't had a chance to see which firmware I have. Perhaps I will revisit this vid in the future....

An issue with exfat.. at least for me. I have a 128gb sd card, and formatted it in windows using exfat. I copied the exact files in the video and i got bricked(unable to access menu view). I then used the Phoenix tool to make a bootable flash of the sd card and managed to unbrick the goggles. I restored the sd card with phoenix then I formatted it into a large fat32 using rufus tools and everything worked perfectly after that. 😊

Ouch... the PSA portion of this video is already out of date... 13042023 had been released, and appears to mostly fix the analog issues (and yes, 040423 or v9.03 was removed so can't be downloaded any more). 😆 Thanks for the walkthrough though showing how to do the full OS update process, seems as straightforward as the manual suggested it was.

You have to reformat the sd card via fat32. The other ways will not work Great vid , 😊

Hi, I am a newbie looking to build my first drone. I think it will be a 7" primarily for inspecting the roofs of a few properties. I already bought a Taranis controller and I'm thinking hard about the HDZero goggles. I am researching like a loom but I cannot find information about two axis motorised camera gimbals - can you recommend anything? What is the best way to take high resolution still shots? Fantastic channel - especially for me being on a deep deep dive.

for inspecting roofs i would rather go with a drone like the mini 2/3 or a mavic drone... fpv drones are very hard to hover...

@@zerotasteguy Thanks for your reply. "hard to hover" sounds like a challenge, thanks for the advice. But, what your recommendations for motorized gimbals and taking still photos. Also, what are your thoughts on the AOS UL7 O3 - I have seen good reviews and some that were a little disparaging. Chris's engineering promotion on the frame seems very convincing. Your colleague's attitude on not buying expensive frames is interesting, my original idea was to get a Tarot hexa frame - now I think, over kill, too expensive...

@@hotkatgotama As a DJI mini 2 owner wanting to get into FPV they are very different animals. You want a "photography" drone by the sounds of things but then you'll want more mobility like me and start looking into FPV drones xD

@@hotkatgotama Yeah, You definitely don't want an fpv drone for inspecting roofs. That would be like buying a nascar to take your kids to school. Like yeah, it's possible, and it would be pretty cool, but you'll be much happier long term with a mini van lol

@@KillerWhale806 hi killer, a drone can have multiple uses. anyway, I am in the midst of building the retched thing - are sorts of problems - mainly to do with low-tech issues (the wrong hex screw length, wrong motor mount hole pattern, etc, etc). The main thing though is, I am totally rubbish in LiftOff... luckily I am very very stubborn. Dont need a van I have a leaf...

Joshua I"m about done with drones lol for the life of me i can't get the controls to work i was following your videos step by step, and after ports went to receiver and nothing is working i have a speedybee f405 v3 with spektrum spm4650 dsmx srxl2 micro receiver what am i doing wrong the soldering for the receiver is black on ground red on 3v3 and brown on t2, and have no idea what i am doing wrong please help i would to get it working, got 60 hr on sim and kinda was all excited to fly till nothing worked.
