Update July 16, 2023 2:00am: The new firmware release (Rev 26062023) is good, real good. Definitely recommend updating. I dropped the update in before IO2023 and had no foul issues. The wifi module is much better than the ModuleV1.. www.hd-zero.com/document

I got to fly the Sky zone goggle, they're very nice. This V3 has everything I wanted and is much more intuitive, the menu is very simple to understand at a quick glance during a race. Now, is it as accurate as my three V2s...🤔

Great video as always!! Very useful tutorial coming from the man himself who walked me through this update process on the phone!! lol! Just updated mine to 9.0.27 myself. Analog is certainly better, but I definitely have my reservations... I am interested to hear your thoughts on it!! Happy flying!

As you know, I've had a very dark and grim cloud over my home for a few weeks. That cloud is moving on and I'm super stoked to pick back up the hobby. I will definitely update my thoughts here in comments. Get 100 packs in and I'll call ya...🍻

Had a race today and just got done working on quads for a race tomorrow...🥵 The 9" FPV monitor I'm using is discontinued (Hieee-9-inch-hd-fpv-monitor). However, there are still some options out there. You just need to look for one that has an HDMI input. I had a listing for it, but the company went out of business a while back.. If you need help finding one, let me know. The one I have retailed for $199us...🍻

My pleasure...🍻 I really like them. I've had all my buddy's antennas on my goggles and just thought the Lollipop did a great job. I have not tried the doubled-long AxII, but I can't foresee myself shelling out that much cash for an antenna.

Not sure, this video is for "Batch 2" HDzero goggle users. Since I don't own the Scout goggles, I don't have the knowledge to help with that question. I appreciate your feedback, I have a lot of non-English speaking subscribers, I try and show it...🍻

Hi I just got my new HDZero goggles a week ago and building the skyhunter 1800 for my first digital setup . I’ll have to do what is necessary to get 1000 from the vtx . The red one. I bought 3 along with the runcam HD cameras. I was wondering in the future if you will be working on the little breakups in proximity flying I see on RU-vid videos and if you would use AI to create better firmware . Just a thought. Finally went digital. Oh what got me to buy these instead of dji was the ability to use analog. Thanks great video

I do wonder how involved I'll get with HDzero. I only own 2 whooplites. I have the goggles for analog reasons due to racing. My freestyle days are limited and just lost interest in it. It really depends on Carl and if he will have me involved in future products. I just don't have the hobby dollars to convert my analog rilpers to digital. Possibly, after bad crashes that take out my analog gear, I may update then...🤔 Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

Yes, I cleared my SD card a month later and reformatted it in the goggles. No question is stupid...🍻

Thanks, It still has a white screen at startup, then the right side is split into two halves, unreadable at the top and dots at the bottom .When HD vtx come on pic shakes in right lens

Hey my HD goggles have a white screen in the right eye during startup, and left eye has the HDZERO emblem at an angle and it takes about 4 minutes to view anything. Suggestions

I had this happen too, I reflashed them again, and it was fine. Thinking of the importance of following the steps, perhaps, I then made this video. I'm not sure what it was, but it's not happened again. Could you reflash to the newest and let me know? I think if a step is missing, or you power them down too soon, the flash gets wacked...🤔

I hope I can help. Not sure if it's related to your experience, but I found that after formatting the sdCard in the Goggles, and looking at the contents of the sdCard by inserting it into my laptop's sdCard slot, there was no "movies" file. It had nothing on it at all. > I then put the sdCard back into the Goggles, and instead of re-formatting it, I selected 'Repair SDcard'. After dong this, the correct files were on the sdCard, and updating firmware was a success.

Update 5/17/23: So far, way better than any firmware versions before. There was a strange white screen that happened, but was able to fly out of it. I will report this to Carl. I didn't have the stuttering or rolling as before and the menu finally looks and functions well. More updates to come. Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

SO i was able to unlock my freestyle VTX, but whenever I try to update the firmware, I get a "verification failed" code. Have you ever seen this or heard of it?

I have not? Unfortunately, it may be difficult for me to help you on this one, I don't own the freestyle VTX... Did you get the bin file from the same version as what your goggles are running? I'd have to dig a bit to find what this mean...🧐

It's all updated to the latest firmware and the goggles were batch 2 with version 9x on them so I was able to do simple update. I have 2 freestyles. The first wouldn't let me unlock or update firmware. So I swapped it out for the 2nd one. It let me unlock it, but gave me same verification error when trying to update firmware. Used the cable to update my whoop lit vtx and it was a success so I know it's not the cable.

Thanks! I’m using the HDZero goggles with my DJI Mavic-3 w/HDMI output from the RC-Pro controller. It’s quite nice, with the exception of a problem with video via the HDMI in. Anyone else see the following? When viewing the HDMI output of the DJI RC-Pro controller, the video displayed in the goggles seems to be “slow”. Difficult to explain, but essentially… the video appears and is gorgeous.. when sitting on the ground or hovering. But, when the video image changes, like during flight, it starts to do something I can only describe as “stuttering” or “glitching”. Almost like the goggles cannot keep up with the video being inputted. Anyone else? Thanks.

You're experiencing latency, it can be as bad as 60ms+, between frames. This would look like stuttering. Personally, I don't know how to remedy this other than lowering resolution...🤔

@@propsoff thanks ! I will give that a try. I’m pretty sure the RC-Pro has resolution controls in “settings”/“display”. I had to lower it when using the Orqa FPV One goggles with the HDMI output connector.
