grew up with his music - nevermore,sanctuary,solo,guest appearances,you name it.his lyrics shaped my visions and mind.fuck,i still can't process it...he may be gone but i soothe myself that he left a musical legacy that speaks in so many languages.

Thank you Warrel for your great music. The passion you left in your music could be felt by the millions of listeners. From the early thrash days, to the late powerful era of Nevermore, to your solo projects, you honestly never disappointed. Rest easy.

I just can't fucking believe it!!! Been a fan of him and his bands since I first heard Refuge Denied, after it's initial release in the 80's!!!! Sanctuary and Nevermore, and Even Warrel Dane's self titled project, ROCKED!!!! Very Sad Day For The Metal World!!! R.I.P., My Friend and Brother!!!!

A huge part of my metal heart has died. Dreaming Neon Black was the first time I heard Nevermore and was my favorite band ever since (my channel kind of shows that). Had the privilege of meeting and seeing band just once and will always be one of my greatest metal memories. You'll always be in my heart brother.

A$$holes - Sanctuary one of my all time fave bands ever and Wally as we called him was a friend , one of my fondest memories was when we went Bowling for his Bday @ Ballard Lanes with the rest of Nevermore and a few other friends , also when my band shared the stage with Sanctuary for the "The Year the Sun Died" cd release in 2014, you can find the whole set from Sanctuary that i taped on my channel , along with other Sanctuary shows , i never had a camera when Nevermore played :( i loved them too , had watched Nevermore practice @ Warrel and Jim Sheppards house when they lived in Ballard and @ Naf studios where both Nevermore and my old band practiced RIP Warrel you are missed my friend
