kid i knew in med school a decade ago in london woke up one day in bed with internal bleeding for some reason i forget. he was dead a few days later. luck definitely plays a role but should not define us but to ignore good luck is ignorant. another guy i know in his 30s is dead from throat cancer (last year) and left his wife and kids behind. he just had bad luck in life. these things happen. warren buffet does not work out and does not eat healthy (see his diet video on youtube) yet he is alive at 88 (in 2018). that's also luck. you do want some luck on your side.

Yes but in Jay-z's case, he was there because he happened to have an opportunity at the point where a sting was happening. He didn't know it was coming. The timing of it was fortunate, the sting could have easily happened when he was around. That wasn't a result of him being positive and removing himself because he was in that element for a long time. It was just by chance that Jay-Z wasn't there at that point so I'd say luck was a big factor in his life.
