You're definitely being very unreasonable in this one. My uncle worked for the royal mail for years and was union rep for his branch and both him and his mates who worked with him drove carefully and parked properly and my uncle had to deal with the public many times at the sorting office gates or on open day and was always poilte and friendly to them, a credit to the Royal mail but he retired before they got took over by another company and went downhill, now his old sorting office has been relocated and the building has since been demolished which is a shame as had happy memories there as a kid, he died last year but if he was still alive now, he would be appalled at the way Royal mail staff talk to the public nowadays and threaten them, its disgraceful!
@@slacko1971 Yours is one of the good ones like my husband's mate, but they are few and far between nowadays unfortunately. I would say at least 90% of Royal Mail workers don't care and think they can do whatever they like.
Same lack of care and respect in many cases in privatised industries in my experience. The management are only focused on delivering (pun intended) for the shareholders not the staff or the public. The place is an obvious shambles.

@@poppag6576 For years our post was terrible, postman was a lovely guy but would rarely ever turn up before 6pm, sometimes not at all. Went on for years, many ebay claims made because of things never arriving, then for a few months we had various temp staff delivering our mail, wasn't uncommon to be after 3pm some days. We now have a great regular postman, rarely ever after 11am and never had a delivery go missing since. Found out recently our original postman was an alcoholic, would sit around in pubs all day and do his round after a tank full and would often throw all of the mail/parcels in the bins, he was quite rightly sacked.
The last guy acted like a respectful Royal Mail representative but the rest of the staff were threatening, rude and disrespectful of UK laws. Imagine if Royal Mail put this behaviour on TV adverts.
Unacceptable for the Royal Mail. Major fail for them. Rude employees, employee wants to fight the public, harassment of the public, vehicles parked on public sidewalks, vehicles blocking pedestrians, garbage and litter on the grounds, portable mail boxes unattended (with or with out mail) ? Seems to me they need parking enforcement action immediately, a major complaint to Royal Mail for their violations and management needs a over the knee spanking !
not really, all he did was make excuses for being lazy and the way the other staff acted, it's not enough to pretend to be nice, no one was interested in addressing the threat that was made including "mr nice" and he clearly thought it was going to be too much trouble to clean the building up. the whole place is a mess.
i work as a postman and i am a photographer,i have come accross managers telling people not to film,i said to them you can not stop them filming in public leave them alone, managers are not bright they are just like us but failed postmen.
It never ceases to amaze me, of all the videos you’ve made, the amount of blockheads that go out of their way to stand in front of the camera and say they don’t want to be filmed 🤦🏻♂️keep up the great work AB👍🏼
The irony is, drawing attention to themselves with negativity is guaranteed to get them on RU-vid. If you don't want this then it's best to not get the attention of a camera wielder. Then all you'll be at worst is an anonymous background character instead of the villain of the episode.
Can not believe how provocative the filmer is. Our posties have been delivering as normal as they can during a pandemic and have been working so hard to ensure that during a lockdown the public can still receive all their mail and parcels. Love our posties!
Oh they did a good job (in your opinion) so they should be able to park like shit, causing an obstruction for the blind and disabled as well as normal folk with buggies etc, and then threaten a member of the public because they do not know the law. Well with the work I have put in over the lockdown period, I must have a pass on a murder or two by now, happy days.
The comment about delivering 'all' their mail and parcels was off the mark as that is not something that Royal Mail is known for achieving. As for working hard, isn't that what they are paid to do.
Exactly it's problem reaction solution, 9/11 The trigger to set the precedent for removing our rights, just as covid19 is an extension of. as a Manager the guy should be upfront when approaching a member of the public say 'hello, my name is ***, i'm a manager here can i ask why your filming here?' not act like hes a queen and the public must kneel before him and ask if its ok to breath the royal air!
this recording needs sending to head office of the royal mail bunch of rude obnoxious staff running a distribution center! lies, threats, ill informed comments all on film! the poor woman struggling to get through with her baby in a pusher, disgraceful!

This truly is an epic fail they all need anger management training. To see the employees at Royal Mail behaving like this is shocking. You're a top man AB keep on trucking m8.
The man who talked to you in the second half of the video, until the end of the video was a nice and reasonable man. He would make a nice manager, I'm sure.
Whoa man! I've been depressed whole 2019, was really rough. Had bad thoughts, didn't care about much, just wanted to take it out on somebody. But this video.... This video is a whole new level of miserable, well done 'Auditing Britian' xD
In an era of being afraid to offend anyone who wants to feel offended, when you can't tell a joke because some snowflake will go into meltdown, this is the new Comedy Gold, I laugh so hard at AB sometimes I almost go dizzy, keep up the good work AB, you're a Legend With A Lens, Yo!
I love your videos and how you stand up for yourself and your rights, you take no nonsense ! The videos are like car crash TV at its best - your more entertaining than street crime uk. If you or any other auditor wants to audit the Edinburgh police (we have lots of stations up here) then get in touch with me and i would gladly accommodate your stay with my sofa. Its brilliant that you as a member of the public are exercising your rights as a member of the public who are policed by your consent.
Parking on a foot path is a traffic offence! It is a hazard to the public, as seen when the lady the pram had tp walk round the vehicles into the road, where PO vans were driving recklessly
Completely agree with your point about the vans parked on the pavement. im sure when Royal Mail first operated from that warehouse they either didnt have that number of vans at that warehouse, or a difference in operations meant that there were less vans at that location at any one point. HOWEVER, if there is an issue with the vans parking on the pavement, then fair enough record it and make a complaint, but there is no need whatsoever to stand there recording people doing their jobs/taking their breaks smoking. I for one would not appreciate you coming up to my face taking photos and videoing me whilst I am carrying out my work. I completely agree with what the bloke mentioned at at @14:00 about filming. Whilst I completely agree it is completely legal to film in public places, I personally think that its only fair that you speak to the people and let them know why you are filming, prior to forcing a camera into peoples faces, even more so given that the people carryinh out their jobs have nothing to do with your original complaint (vehicles parking on the pavement). Obiously there were some instances in the video whether the attitudes were a little sketchy (FROM BOTH SIDES - YOURS INCLUDED). I think that in future to avoid this kind of drama you need to be a bit more careful and think about the person on the other side of the camera, before "pointing and shooting." I must reiterate on two points that I know that filming in public is completely legal and you have the right to do so, and that the parking is a big issue (not the fault of the members of staff you were recording). Had to make that last bit clear before the 95% of the viewers of this video (keyboard warriors) are likely to disagree and call me all names under the sun. Rant over - Happy to discuss :)
Forcing a camera in ppl’s face is considered GBH !! That didn’t happen so don’t mention it . It’s doesn’t really mater what your filming preferences are . We can record anything in public full stop
@@AuditingBritain I didnt mean you physically pushed it down his throat. My point was, is that you was that agressive that you were basically shoving it down their throats. It just seems that all you are trying to do at the moment is just antagonise people for no reason. You can't go round complaining about the Royal Mail staff being agressive when you're deliberatly provoking them just to get a reaction to them, whilst being agressive in the first place. I for one would not appreciate some random person like yourself coming into my personal space filming at all, even more so when im trying to do my work. Again, everyones welcome to their opinions on the subject, but again please just think a little more before you go round doing this, do you seriously not think that people have enough things to worry about at the moment (health, family etc.) without some random person going round fulfulling his hobby of antagonising people?
"there is no need whatsoever to stand there recording people doing their jobs/taking their breaks smoking. " There was no need for you to comment, either, but you did because you can.. If he can film in public, which he can, he doesn't need a reason to do it, if he wants to do it then he can, welcome to something called laws and rights. If you get upset at someone doing something LEGAL, then you have an issue, not the person doing something legal.
The posties should have just walked away, they can be conducted for their attitude. As a postie myself, some do have a face for outdoor and indoor. You need thick skin to work in a delivery office/Mail centres. Bullying and piss taking is rife from management/collegues. On a side note, its not the posties job to keep the yard clean, its a seperate company that provides cleaners to clean offices/yards. Agree though, the parking is terrible.
But it's their duty NOT to throw rubbish around!!!! They should be fired, someone needs to start looking at the cameras around that building & there's piss taking in every bloody job mate, you wanna try being in the Army or the Fire Service, you'd run home ctying!!

I got to 9 minutes and had to turn it off People are allowed to be uncomfortable by a complete stranger creeping around filming them, I'd be on edge and defensive. This man recording is doing this on purpose to get peoples backs up so he can get a reaction, I find it creepy, childish and think he needs to find a hobby.
I agree with you on that the job the royal mail do is not the best of professional but this guy recording them is very disruptive he is only looking for confrontation and is being very unprofessional he definitely needs to get a hobby and a life very sad man
Providing you stay on public property they cannot do anything. But if you venture beyond the boundary then you are antagonizing them for the sake of an argument for a video. I am all in favour of public filming but be fair, reasonable and remain with the law on your side. Annoying the Royal Mail in the way you did lets you down as much as they let the Royal Mail down. Also, the Royal Mail is a PLC and not government owned as such so is an easy target.
The last guy is pretty reasonable. I do generally agree with you AB, but I think you sometimes go too far. It’s an imperfect world as the last guy says. I do deliveries for Hermes, you should visit one of their depots!
You mention people standing about etc, but you forget that employees are allowed breaks? A postman’s day is more than just delivering mail, he was right in saying you can be in the office for more than 2 hours sorting things out. I feel leaving this comment I may open myself to cheeky comments in retribution, but I don’t think it’s fair for you to be filming then wonder why staff feel agitated. I don’t agree with any threatening behaviour etc but I don’t feel this is a true representation of Postman/woman! Most of the staff I seen (not all of them) had Royal Mail issued shoes on, they may not look like what you may believe to be safety shoes but were. Some of the comments on here are shocking.
@Saf Cohen You can sit here on your benefit arse you uneducated useless piece of shit but you don't need to give me a definition. Keep off the internet, your bills might get too high.
Made me laugh when the Royal Mail worker mentioned your name, think he knew best to walk away 😂😂 Keep up the great work AB!! Looking forward to the next video 👍🏽

KeironRiley wrong. Public access, means exactly that. And anywhere that is public access can be filmed. Photography laws are very simple. Film anywhere your allowed to be without invitation, and get permission to film where you are not allowed to be without invitation.
Your opinion, that auditing is not a legitimate thing to do, is just that... your opinion. Many of us that are sick of paying for public officials to inadequately do their jobs, like to see someone showing the rest of you where your tax money goes. 4:10 That manager is concerned about a harmless photographer whilst he dances around over an ankle-snapping trip-hazard. The last guy was actually reasonable but you shot him down in flames not really taking on board what he was getting at etc, I have to agree with him if some random stranger came to my work and started filming me I would feel extremely anxious and self aware etc, it's legal to do so filming but morally wrong for many reasons. Especially when you just waltz in with no communication pleasing yourself, eventually you're going to get so many peoples backs up you're going to end up an actual target.

like barking at the guy for the apparent mess everywhere which doesn't have anything to do with him or his complaint he created made happen etc , everywheres a mess in outdoor sites etc. And "nearly got beat up" yeah right do you really think an employee would assault someone in their own work premises? Get real AB you obnoxious moron. Your fanboys will probably have a go at me but in a context you're the bully AB picking on random places for the reaction fishing for likes and views for your channel. Used to like your videos but now they are shite and stupid.
There is nothing morally wrong for any reason to take photos from a public place of someone who is visible from the public place even if they are working. It's the same as photographing a traffic warden whilst they are ticketing cars. There is no expectation of privacy when in public or visible from a public place. The only time in a public place where you shouldn't take a photograph is when people are doing something where they expect a little privacy like at a ATM, but that has nothing to do with morality.
@@TheSadButMadLad so there's no thought for say for example people with aspergers who may feel very stressed having someone randomer point a camera in his direction from quite close. @@TheBrataccas So do you have to go up to every single person and check their medical conditions before you take photo. Or should the people who have the problem steer clear of the photographer. I used to get my mail delivered twice a day, then once a day before 9 o'clock. Now I am lucky if it is delivered before 4 :00 p.m. That's what they call service. Who are they kidding?
Unfortunately, they got rid of two deliveries a day in the 90's; the second delivery was the mail coming in later through the system that missed the first wave. Now it's just one delivery, they start work later and wait around for the later mail in the system to arrive, and deliver it all in one, which means stupid mail times. I left just after this started. Some days I was finished at 8 am :-)
They fail all the time! I am still waiting for my V5 registration document, It is now 18 months. I contacted the DVLA and they say I have to pay £25,00 for replacing a document I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED.

Before the post was privatised the post arrived before I left for work in the morning, now it arrives between 12 noon and 1 pm. If you tied this “manager’s”arms up he would be speechless.
You make it sound like the RM privatisation & your mail arriving later are connected. Early morning deliveries were scrapped in 2003. Royal Mail was privatised in 2013.
