@@PixelShaun I haven’t played two but there was one called race o rama on the ps2 and it was so fun it had like multiple cities you could explore and it had actual customization like changing spoilers and spliters etc
My issues I have with this game is the AI in the piston cup races suck since all the other don't even try to win but only 4 cars do, and I really hate how you just keep lapping them so many times, I wish the designers made all 20 cars in a piston cup race try to win where they all drive on the same path together, drafting behind each other, trying to win where it would look realistic like an actual Nascar race. I like how they made the multiplayer version try to win, but it's still not challenging enough. Even on champion difficulty, you're gonna be miles ahead from everyone in the race. If the AI were more intense on champion difficulty, I feel like the game would be more fun to play.
First of all the new gran* Turismo is 15 years older, secondly this game is not a sim unlike every other gran Turismo installment so you are wrong if you think that this is a fair comparison. This game was the real deal back in a day my entire childhood was spent racing in the streets of radiatior springs and the piston cup tracks and since you havent played the game you cant say its garbage bc it still holds up 17 years later
