important to note that the menu explanation thing is definitely an exploit/oversight and should not exist, however, that design decision is stupid and the game should definitely pause when you are not summoning real players or being invaded
I like Ang Lee's Hulk movie its not perfect but I've grown to love how unique that film is and how it genuinely takes the source material seriously and tries to adapt it faithfully
I've never played God of War so I never felt like it was trying to copy anyone but I do see the similarities. Yet, I wish they could redo this series. Dawn of the Dragon had some very interesting things in play. And from what I've been told there was a lot of content to be added from the storyboard. However, because of budget 90% of the content was scrapped. If I remember correctly I got the source from a person who had done some sort of interview with one of the dev. Yet I still believe it to be the case. Given how bad the gaming industry is treating their employees.
In regards to the combat from the PS4/5 games, I enjoyed it overall when I played the first ps4 game, but if there was one issue I had with it is that he was mostly a kicker in the game and rarely ever threw punches unless he was doing an uppercut or a finisher. And the second game didn’t feel like it had much change apart from a few new combat animations from the black suit… In web of shadows, there is a lot of personality in combat whether he’s in his red suit or black suit! The red suit’s combat felt so energetic, dynamic and superhero-like. The black suit makes spider-man’s arms shake with tension. Spins, kicks, and punches have more of a superhuman speed as Spider-Man makes proper use of all of his limbs. I didn’t get that same feeling when playing the ps4/5 games… Now I’m not saying they should have copied exactly what was from web of shadows, I’m just saying that there should be more variety… He should have at least used his fists more in the second game. Maybe have him give an in-game explanation for how he’s become better at fighting than before…. Like he red books on martial arts during his spare time. I mean… imagine if he learned some Jeet Kune Do, Hapkido, Tang Soo Do, and Savate….? Maybe even some Tricking to add more dynamic aerial kicks (ex: Flash Kick). Combined that with his Spider-Sense and he would really improve himself!
I remember playing it as a kid and getting a tad frustrated at the game, still managed to beat both stories for it. But if sonic riders had a proper tutorial about the mechanics and not a "tutorial video" so deep into the settings options it wouldn't be so rough to get into.
I just started with spiderman 1. but I wove already a potential Doctor Strange game in my mind, a game that jumps between reality and surrealistic inviroments like in the Far Cry series but than in gameplay style like Uncharted or something alike.. Daredevil, Hulk and Captain Amerika would be awesome too.
I love this game cause it didn’t stick to the typical kart racer format it shocks me to this day that we’ve never gotten a racing game out of an established franchise that wasn’t a kart racer besides a select few. Or at least spice up the karts and locations it’s sucks even more cause we haven’t really seen a lot of franchise do spin offs since the the ps2 era of consoles . Even the kart racers while I do think they lacked variety they were always a nice cheap fun alternative to the main series games you could play with siblings and friends much like a Mario party or Olympic Games well game.
I loved playing it as a kid. It was challenging and very fun to figure everything out by yourself. It took me years to figure out how to grind on the rails.
can you do a side by side of the Wii sports UI they look the same but maybe that's my old brain merging childhood memories but this game was difficult but went unnecessarily hard.
The problem with the no tutorial is that the game does have a tutorial... but it's hidden away in the options XD If I had to guess, it was probably supposed to show you before you start playing the game, but it doesn't show up (maybe an oversight)
Riders, being a blast to play and needs ports, was infinitely easier to play _after_ I read through the controls in the manual. And learned I can't drive the tight cornering cloud.
Sonic Riders is like an euro game: when learning it seems hard, overwhelming and daunting, but when you play a few times, you realize its not that bad and then you get used to it and really have fun. The game needed a "tutorial phase" to ease the player up to its mechanics and not a video essay as they did (tho I loved to watch it when I was a kid).
100% agree it needed a tutorial, but still a super fun game. Apparently the sequel fixed a lot of the issues found in this game? Not sure, never played
@@PixelShaun Neither did I. I only know some people think it lost some of the magic of the first riders. I always think about what a riders remake could add and change to become the game of mu dreams and thats why when I saw your vid pop up i insta clicked hahaha Its rare to see a riders video.
@@PixelShaun As someone who grew up with Riders 2 and then only played the first 1 about 2 years ago, Zero Gravity has the better graphics and arguably music as well as a final boss that isn't a joke though in this case unless you don't do something specific at the start of every lap you will be there for a while and ofc it's tutorial. Where Zero Gravity fumbles the bag though is in its mechanics because it's kinda piss easy (aside from the final level). Best way I can describe the Gravity system is that it's an over correction of the air system from the first game but I do so of get why that happened, it's a Wii game ported down to the PS2
Oh, and if you want another incredible gaming experience, you've probably heard praises sung about ffxiv (Final Fantasy XIV) for years, maybe thought like with ER that it just wasn't gonna be for you. But I beg you to give it a chance. If nothing else, get the free trial; it includes the entire base game and first two expansions and you can play as long as you want with few restrictions (these being intended to slow down bots), so you have nothing to lose. Seriously, if you want a game that respects your time and you as a player, that has an amazing community, thats story will have you in tears with both laughter and heartbreak, that will challenge you with difficult but rewarding content, that will ask you 'Has your journey been worthwhile?' and have it hit you in the heart like an arrow - play Final Fantasy XIV.
Dude, after you get through the majority of the game I recommend checking out some of the great loretubers out there like Tarnished Archeologist. They weave together the hundreds of tiny hints of deeper lore we get scattered throughout the game and weave them into mindblowing analyses that will have you looking at every single item, texture, and color with brand new eyes. I played what I thought was quite thoroughly, but TA was over here making realize I missed a whole world of information with things as simple as the layering of architecture in a single room that revealed multiple in-world eras and how they likely built on each other.
Playing a Souls game at launch is a magical thing, seeing the whole community work together to conquer every aspect of the game together. I had the privilege of doing so since Dark Souls 1 and it's been incredible.

@Kodousinx many reasons. I might get a call on my phone I need to answer, someone might be at the door, might get a delivery, work might call etc. Things in life can and often do pop up while gaming. The alternative is to just die or put the controller down and attend to the other thing while my character just dies on the spot? Just because you don't like the idea, doesn't mean it's bad 😂
It's part of the vibe to not have a pause button, it's designed like that purposely. People have been demanding a pause button since Demons' Souls, but they never added one in. Even through every update, DLC, recalibration, and patch, not once did they acquiesce to the demand for a pause button, so that should have been an indication that it is a feature they - deliberately and with forethought - include in their games, and not a case of incompetent design.
Hey, this is the first time I've seen one of your videos and I saw that you play some JRPGs as well(also a Zelda fan here). I can recommend you a series(it's a turn based series so if you are not into that then ignore it). The series is Trails/Kiseki or you can also say Legend of Heroes. Truth be told it's hard to recommend this series because almost every game in the series is a direct sequel of previous(and by direct I mean like continuing the next game right where you left off the previous one) or at least taking place during the same time frame. It's a series with an over arching plot told through multiple games and multiple protagonists and characters whose stories are intertwined with each other. More than half of the plot is completed in like 11-12 games in last 20 years. Also, people call this series the One Piece of gaming.
The most important thing is SPEND YOUR RUNES!!! Deaths feel much less significant when youre only spending a minute or two max to get back to where you were. Using on levels in yourself and weapons is preferred, but even just spending on random crap like throwables, consumables just to make sure that currency will Eventually become of use. The amount used to level is usually a good barometer for if youre losing a significant amount or not.
One of my gaming buddies is like you were. Gave up early and it saddens me thinking of what he is missing. Greatest gaming experience of my life. 1700 hours for me before I took a break.
63 Years old woman here. I played elden ring and complete it with platin trophy. It is hard but it is a fair game. If you stuck at a boss, you can go to another area and come back later. If you can´t do it alone, you can go with the ashes. Take your time, explore, you can miss so much if you rush. And last- have fun. You can do it. (sry english is not my language, hope you understand)
Cool! I am a 60 year old grandma and I salute you as I didnt platinum the game, but I did beat Elden Ring the dlc, dsr and ds3 as well as Lies of P. You are never to old to game.

I love Elden Ring and could never get into the other souls games. There are areas where I've spent tens of hours exploring and I still stumble into new secrets on my own.
