This is racing in USA. We're all proud he is American and winning. So happy the Deegan's are uncompromised and say what they mean. How refreshing. Love them.
Haiden Deegan can say whatever the hell he feels like saying. He is part of a great family - and he is not a "rogue" like Jason Lawrence. He is a "good guy." I can't understand why people even question his comments.
I kind of agree, every American can really say what they want. Trying to keep people from saying what they want is like telling them to not be who they are and that isnt good for anyone. As for Jason Lawrence I remember him when we were amatures like when I was in 12-13yr old 85cc he was in 7-11 85cc and 65cc and he always had an attitude problem and if I remember he T-boned bob kinery i think is who it was breaking his leg in an 85cc or super mini race once just like he did to brock hepler when he was a pro before he got fired. It was weird with jlaw because he was an ok rider not as fast as those of us who were twords the top of 85cc riders in 12-13 abd 14-15yrs old but somehow he got really really fast in a short amount of time. He just had an attitude problem and a big mouth.
I don’t see anything wrong with it. If Lawrence won, it’s another win for the aussies, if ahimoda won, that would have been a win for Japan. This is our American win.
Steve may or may not been trolling for clicks, but it went a bit further. He was triggered by "toxic" patriotism or whatever but has no issues with other riders from other countries doing it. F that guy. The reason why ALL of them are here (including Steve, Canadian) is because the USA is special. GFY.
@supertrooper4232 I think is talking about when Steve called Josh Hill a stoner (Cheech and Chong) and Steve was trying to talk around it and Jase kept making the point , it was a beautiful thing
That is the best thing that can happen to motocross right now is to let these guys be themselves and create rivalries with each other it would make the racing so much better and actually matter where guys finish in the race
Yo Gypsy I loved what u said about Hadiien Deegan when he was just starting to go pro. You u said "People don't like him and if everybody thinks things were handed to him and he doesn't work hard"-"Well everyone is in for a big surprise cuz he will crush them" L.O.L. And that's what haden is been doing..U WERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT 👍...I believed he worked his ass off through mini'os then pro!! Damm right he did,w/his own sweat and tears.
It's great for the sport that Haiden Deegan pointed to being an American....It is refreshing, competitive and patriotic. The comment was also absolutely true.
It's literally in the interview , he was down for it . Didn't turn it down. USA management didn't make the call early enough for the team to be able to commit , so Bobby said forget it
@@ElectricBikeLaboratory That's odd seeing as he was the #1 choice for the 250 spot (since J. Cooper already announced he couldn't go b/c his wedding). Everybody knows he and the team didn't want to go b/c they didn't think the team could win w/ the available riders. If Tomac & Sexton were the 450 riders and they asked him to ride the 250 he 100% would've gone.
Haiden did nothing but show that he is proud to be an American. The media and public needs to stop jealously picking on him just because he is better than they ever were.
please articulate how you an be too American racing in an AMERICAN MOTORCYCLIST ASSOCIATION? Deegan winning buds on 4th of July, grabbing that flag and letting the aussies know was a key turning point in my following of Deegan.
A single global nation will require nationalism, lest that single global nation fracture back into a diversity of two or more nations. Go Haiden. Respect to the Deegans.
Deegans are like one of the most down to earth, kindness, given familys in the scence.. lets go Haiden and to the General been repping M/M since day one.. still have brand new Metal Mulisha x Grenade Gloves collab shirts signed by you when i was a kid..im 40 now...much respect from NJ 🤘🏼🇺🇸🤘🏼
As a decent human being, I took great offense to his deplorable podium speech about "channeling his inner Andrew Tate." Andrew Tate has been indicted and will face trial on rape, human trafficking charges in Romania. Motocross is supposed to be a family sport. I am sure many young impressionable children looked up who that is.
I stopped listening and watching pulp. They have a definite attitude problem thinking THEY can decide who should be allowed to talk and who should be allowed to be fast and win.
As an American moto fan politics never once crossed my mind while watching the races. I just want to watch good racing. That being said its ok to be patriotic no matter what Country you are representing. Steve is just a snowflake
Steve is a clown the sport is being dominated by the Lawrence brothers it’s nice to have Americans who can challenge that ..all 3 guys are bringing more people to the sport
Honestly I think Steve was taking sides with the Lawrences trying to butter them up because they would never talk to him before that. Then Steve and Keiffer weeks later are test riding all the HRC bikes and carrying on with the Lawrence brothers. IMO Steve was playing a chess match as well.
He wants to win and get paid you can’t blame the man… everyone should make as much as possible and if you don’t it’s your own fault Where theirs chaos theirs cash to be made
Talk all the shit you want, that’s what happens when you win, be yourself and back it up, and got to rep where you’re from🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ that’s how it goes!!!
I disagree. You’ll get a lot more clicks if you’re liked. I clicked on a lot of Pastrana stuff in my younger years, but nothing Deegan until this past year.
Haiden does see the comment Brian has said...85 of a 100 comments are negative....people donot know how to be constructive...they dont talk from experienced just talk from negative an hate....an lack hes actually turned out to be a gentlemen racer if u dont know whatxthat is look it up...he a solid kid
Its hard to express patrisiam as a brit, you get use to every country hating you. Brits are steaped in controversial history. U.S.A Independence and i could go on and on. However i cannot do anything about what has been achieved before. But what i can do is make my own history. Deagons are very good at that. And whats wrong with that. Hunter and jet lawerence are also creating history.
@@stephenjacob9316 glad someone agrees with me lol. I usually get bombarded with fan boiiss but this interview is sooo cringe. gyspy jase literally interviews everyone else either remotely or invites them to his studio but agrees to meet the deegans in temecula?
Outside of the MXN, racing is about talent, hard work, and performance. As an American, I find blind patriotism lame and a sign of weakness. Look to Formula 1 for a higher pathway to being.
F1 drivers are always proud of their nationality and holding up their nations flag and talking about how great it is to race/podium/ win at their “home race”
Apparently, some are not getting what you are saying, I am American, love my country, and I said country, not politics 😒. The point is that we have a very diverse group of guys that race here from all over the place, and that's awesome, should not matter what side of the pond, and / or country your from, still human, still fast, and can twist the throttle... Now, MXDN, I cheer for America 🇺🇸, but also respect all the guys out there ... And yes, I am a fan of the MXGP's.
I wish he would have sang the national anthem. Can’t believe the kind of comments idiots make. Were “American” comments to much. What is wrong with loving your country and being proud. Need more of it these days!
Just because we “get it” and your looking for views doesn’t mean we have to respect it. If someone’s number one is stirring the pot on a bs opinion just for views, your a sellout and the market will dictate their future.
I watch motocross because it isn't a woke sport. I honestly thought this was a joke? There really is a reporter that cried over an American being proud of the American flag. I've got news for him every time I watched Hunter Lawrence on the podium there always was two 10 foot Australian flags in the front row waving the whole time. I didn't hear the guy crying about that. What a wussy. I imagine the guy will want participation Trophies next?
Pulp sucks Steve is to WOKE for my viewing. I used to enjoy the show but he’s in the corporate pocket’s ! In the same league as Ricky to the point of where you cannot stomach it anymore.
The Lawrence's do things in a very subtle manner. Even their insults are fashioned to not come across as an insult.. You have to remember that Australia doesn't have the same constitutional values with a bill of rights guaranteeing those freedoms. So I get it, they come from a place where I imagine what would be viewed as open vitriol would be highly frowned upon.
Within the historical and contemporary American psyche making statements like that is red neck racism 101 and dangerous territory to venture into for our sport. Chad Reed was apparently appalled at the level of racism at the races directed at James Stewart especially at SX. So we need to stop pretending that this is just savvy marketing instead of utter stupidity. Time to wake up and make stand against this behaviour
No it was not too much especially these days with the attitude amongst millenials being the USA is not superior to other countries nor special. It was just fine and if anyone has a problem with it they can take that back to their countries of origen
I am totally 100% AMERICAN but we are not the fastest motocross riders in the world. If you don't realize that then you need to learn some history about the sport.
Hey genius who has the most MON championships. It ain't the europeans is it? SO your opinion smells as bad as any Euro-sewer. I was not even talking about MX. Still Deegan walked it so he can talk it. Jett too for the Australian nationalists. Get back to me on who has the most MON's If it ain't the USA maybe Belgium or who? your own argument is preposterous. They may ride gnarlier tracks than we do but they hide when it comes to SX @@jamesadams2334
Dude Jeffrey Herlings Prado & Cairoli you speak of the roger DeCoster era? Who does have the most MXON? By what metric are you speaking (out) of. You think guys were faster but the USA has more MXON than anyone I think so why do you fellate on the EuroQueers? Maybe back when BulTaco was making bikes but when it comes to motocross in world history * I don't care what your statistics say but JS was the FASTEST MAN EVER ON A DIRT BIKE .RC even said that. Why are they AFRAID of SX HUH? @@jamesadams2334
