i kinda feel it is. after watching that docu series. i learned just how much of a pos, child MJ was and still is. honestly any real man would of benched jordan for his antics long before the Pros. guy is a baby. who cant control his emotions much of the time. that said without pippen to hold the team together. jordan would of never won shit. title wise imo. obviously we will never know either way. and yes on the court mj was the better talent. and could use his emotions to fuel his game. but still it took a great coach and team mate to help put mj over the top, bringin the team together........

TMI time. Recovering from a knee surgery 6 weeks ago and over that time I've spent A LOT of hours going back and watching old 80s Bulls games. Full games, not highlights. More people should do that. Obviously, I watched these at the time, being 14 when Jordan came into the league, but it had been a while since I'd seen full games from then. People have sadly forgotten just how otherworldly Jordan was on both ends of the court, night after night, dragging various shitty teams up an down the court. To say he had little to no help is laughably understanded when you go back and actually watch. As for Pip. He eventually became good, but it took A LONG TIME, because those first few years he and Grant were not much better than what Jordan had been working with. Truth is, as good as Pippen turned out to be, a guy like Kevin McHale was FAR closer is talent and ability to his #1 Larry Bird than Pippen was to Jordan, and it isn't really al that close. Sure, Jordan didn't win without Pippen but he could have won with lots of other teammates better than what he started with. Pippen was NEVER gonna be any team's #1 option. He wasn't talented enough and he wasn't wired for that role. He was just never "the guy." What you're seeing now is just saltiness from him and it's pitiful to watch. Go back and watch full games, kids...go see just how incredible Jordan was. Don't rely on comparing highlights. Watch him completely take over and dominate games out of sheer necessity and through his own will power.

Pippen like LeBron was a more passive player which is why he could never average more than 22 points per game in a season even after Jordan retired the first time. Just because he is more passive and more willing to pass that doesn't mean he's better at passing. It took a at least 3 years for Pippen to develop his offensive game including his passing and the triangle offense took away from Jordan as a passer but the 1989 season and the 1991 finals Jordan was simply the best at everything on the team, and arguably the league. Turnovers also are higher with more passive players.

In 1993 Scottie pippen had his best year of his career: 22 points per game 8 rebounds per game 5 assists per game Michael Jordans worst year, his final year on the wizards at 40 years old: 20 points per game 6 rebounds per game 5 assists per game So in conclusion, michael jordans worst year at age of 40 was slightly less than Scottie Pippens best year in his prime. Checkmate.

Scottie was an all-time great. But, what happened when Mike was in charge of the Bulls and what happened when Scottie was in charge? But they needed each other to win championships.

I am the biggest Scottie pippen fan on the globe ever created or lived,he is my personal favorite all time player from the ❤️ and that will never change. With that said and out the way, pippen at no time,at any aspect of the game,at any statistic,in any shape way or form better than Micheal Jordan at anything in game the game of basketball 🏀.not any one thing not any one category or any combination there of,I'm talking anything. Hype is hype and selling stories and storylines is selling, marketing and promoting a narrative or concept and that in itself is understandable.and then there is the truth and then there's the universal truth.theres the eye test and there's the statistics. Scottie pippen is my favorite player and pick over every player to ever play the game including Jordan and everybody.i can not and will not ever say pippen is better than Jordan at anything in basketball 🏀. Not on ball defense Not steals Not defense in general Not blocks Not rebounds Not shooting, perimeter or 3pt Not leadership Not dribbling Not dunking Not nothing Not at any one play, any one time, any one season, any one career lol Nothing Scottie pippen is better than Micheal Jordan at nothing concerning basketball 🏀.pippen wasn't the next best thing to Jordan at any level of the game or anything like that.pippen was however and is 50 greatest of all time (probably top 35-40) even with the new 75 list.pippen is probably one the greatest all around players in every aspect of the game.maybe a top ten all around player if there was a measure and matchup all time for that category.pippen is great in his own right and more importantly in the game of basketball, together Jordan and pippen was a serious threat and problem for the league to the tune of 6 🏆.they both had similarities and both played both sides of the ball and definitely defense on highest of levels.its not even a edge that goes to Jordan and it's not really even close imo.i luv the attention for pippen and how people regard his skills and approach to the game above MJ in some folks comparison.but we all know, see, and can read who MJ is and what pippen was. Luv u to death Scottie 🫡

To answer the question just ask yourself if Jordan and the Bulls could have won 6 rings by replacing Scottie with another NBA star forward - the answer is: probably. Then ask if Pippen in the Bulls would have won any championships if Jordan were replaced by another star player and the answer is: probably not.

I really appreciate giving Scottie his due, but nothing more than he deserves. I think Scottie wasn't paid enough, but he made a financial mistake by locking himself into long term deals with small pay. Scottie didn't negotiate well early off in his career and he paid that price. As far as getting clutch shot opportunities in the game of basketball your coach and team will trust you more if you hit the target more.

Can't agree on the passing bit. Jordan did play PG for a stint when asked and he showed that when he's tasked with a different role (to distribute rather than score) he was an excellent PG, on the same level as Isiah and Stockton. He recorded 10 triple doubles in 11 games as a PG.

I always think of versatility as where you can slot a player in on the floor. Jordan was a guard... period. Yes, he would occasionally play on others, but Pippen was why they coined the phrase Point Forward. He could cover anyone. People forget that it can be reasonably argued that Pippen being switched over to Magic and eating him up on defense was what swung that first title series. And at 6'8" he could guard the interior guys better than Michael too. Don't get me wrong. Mike's the better player and superior at what he did, but I'd have to say Pip was more versatile.

I can see why Scottie has so much gripe, and I also totally understand that MJ was a j3rk (especially to his perception), but I also see why Charles Barkley and Isiah Thomas find it laughable to put Scottie in the same category as themselves of late 80s/early 90s superstars, as he just couldn't unlock himself without MJ's help, whether it be basketball performance or his contract, he was way too timid. He had time to prove himself that he was a Batman rather than a Robin during 94 to 96 and the time in Houston and Portland, which he never did. It is unfortunate but people base their views on results, rather than potential.

At the very end of the video there is commercial basically asking how to be a better NBA player and Charles Barkley says just forget all your mistakes, even Scottie pippen! Outcomes Pippin and he says I'm the greatest bull of all time because he was playing a part in a commercial he has short-term memory not that he actually thinks he is the greatest bulls player ever. I know Scotty has said a lot of crazy things about Michael and they're not on good terms but this one was taken out of contacts watch the commercial again.
