Finally someone not broadcasting from their room with candles on the back and reading from online articles. This clever woman actually was hands on on investigating more in depth this case with results. Thank you!!
This is terribly heartbreaking. It sounds like Penny rented out her daughter and was expecting her to come back, but she never did. I hope Anthonette is still alive.
@@watsonspuzzleThat is a good point and sounds like it could be what happened. Maybe that is what was meant in some of these episodes on Anthonette where there were references to abuse, and when it was said that the mother may not have realized she had sold her. I hope she is still alive as well. And I hope her family and she find closure and healing.
@@acaciajessamine I agree with you on the disturbing actions of the girl's mother towards her own daughter. It's a shocking betrayal of trust. I hold hope that the girl is still alive, perhaps not aware of her true identity. The act of a grown man giving a 9-year-old girl a necklace and flowers is deplorable. These predators and pedophiles deserve stricter prison terms, not futile attempts at rehabilitation. It's like expecting a dog to act like a cat - impractical. We need robust laws to safeguard the vulnerable, both children and women, from these heinous individuals. Implementing Stranger Danger classes in every school district, regardless of size, can be a valuable after-school pursuit. Children would benefit from learning how to respond if approached by a stranger, identifying common tricks like offering help with a tire change or carrying groceries. Furthermore, establishing neighborhood watches in every community, big or small, is crucial. With vigilant neighbors on lookout, any suspicious activity can be promptly reported, ensuring children's safety. A collaborative effort involving parents, police, and community members to combat such threats is paramount.
@@acaciajessamine I wholeheartedly agree with you. Miracles are real and they manifest in incredible stories like those of Shawn Hornbeck, Elizabeth Smart, Jaycee Dugard, the courageous girls from Cleveland Ohio, and Jamie Closs among many others. The hope for a miraculous intervention for the family in question lingers, despite the passing of 38 long years since 2024. The tale of a mother's unthinkable betrayal, bartering her own flesh and blood to an unknown entity, is sheer madness. One can only imagine the remorse that would have engulfed her if she were able to witness the repercussions of her heartless actions. Personally, I echo the sentiment vehemently - such an act of incomprehensible treachery against one's own offspring goes against every fiber of my being, a line I would never, not in a million lifetimes, consider crossing.
First of all thank you for covering this case and educating the public on things we didn’t know beforehand. I truly wanted to believe that the mother didn’t have anything to do with Anthonette’s disappearance BUT NOW my mind is completely changed. This is really sad. I really hope this case will be solved one day.
Thank you for your support. We still believe that someone may know something about Anthonette's disappearance and would like to bring her home. If you could share the video with your family and friends that would be greatly appreciated. The more people who watch will push the video out further...and hopefully it will fall in front of someone who could bring a tip in.
@@crystalgutierreztv I have a question for you Crystal. In your opinion, what is the likeliness that you think that Anthonette is still alive? From what I understand, most law enforcement believe she’s deceased. But what is your opinion? It would be interesting to hear it from your perspective
@@GenevieveWaller-pk3xg she's navejo, unfortunately she had changed her story so many times as well as didn't say anything bout being part of anything till eight years later.what she told the fbi in interview was that her daughter was getting to be a problem & wanted her to be somewhere where she could have a better life & that emo offered to take her somewhere. Without any actual physical proof instead of just words that had been changed so many times they can't do anything to her
What we've seen and realized how prevalent trafficking has been and today regarding the 3 Letter Agencies, it is highly probable that individuals the specific agency may have been involved in covering up the trafficking...
@@lucillasanchez-schlageter2315exactly!! The involvement of our 3 letter agencies and people in high office in not only trafficking but satanism was brought to light a long time ago by many- not by just survivors but agencies whistleblowers as well! The outlandish way they all handled ( or failed to) this case- appears without a doubt someone in power was involved or definitely protecting someone that was!! Her desperate call for help saying she was in Albuquerque ending in screams broke my heart!! God Bless her and all the other children caught in their evilness!!
**I understand these stories will bring out frustrations and anger but I ask that you keep in mind that Penny still has two daughters who are going through a lot with this case. I just watched the episode where Michelle thought maybe she was Anthoinette, and a DNA test was done, which was negative. I couldn't help thinking about how I thought for sure she is Anthoinette. Was anything investigated to make sure Sadie and Anthoinette are in fact biological sisters at the time of her disappearance? Would it be possible they always just figured they were biological sisters and may not have been if adopted, etc? It made me wonder if Michelle is Anthoinette, so DNA wouldn't even come into "play" here.
@@Dispy1971I had the same thoughts as well. Especially since their Mother lived the life she did. It does bring up wonderment with was Anthonette even Penny's biological daughter, being that she was willing to give her away in the manner in which she did in Penny's involvement. As well as the two Birthday party pics being so similar. Perhaps more investigation needs to be upon. Are there any people that were in Sadie's and Wendy's lives that may have also been in Michelle's life? The lady that believes she perhaps may be Anthonette. Is there any remote chance of some kind of connection?? Too many similarities.
My cousin was taken when she was 3 and I was 7, her birthday was close to mine. My aunt hired private detectives still bought Christmas and birthday gifts. People knew where she was but wouldn’t help my aunt find her. She now mid 40’s my aunt is in touch with her and visits her I can see how much she resembles my aunt and her personality. Her ex husband is still around her daughter and my aunt says she doesn’t want her daughter to feel like she can’t love him so she stuffs it down. By talking with my sister we realized we both had guilt even though we were babies. My birthday always was sad around my aunt because she was mourning her daughter. So glad she is back❤️❤️❤️thank you for helping others.
In the first video, the sister said they (little sisters) were mad because anthonette got to stay up and play cards with penny, while they were sent to bed. She was telling anthonette about it AND waiting for the buyer to get there. They were NEVER to answer the door to ANYONE after bedtime, but they remembered knocks at the door and more than once. She was waiting for whoever was coming to take that little girl. Whoever was going to pay her for her child.
Before i even heard about this shocking news.. ppl always speculated the mother had something to do with it.. the rumor was after anthonette disappeared her mother purchased a new sports car, and everyone knew she never had money to purchase new things and this was odd… Can u ask the daughter Sadie about this? Was this true?
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think she is alive. She loved her sisters nothing would have stopped her from reaching out. She called 911, She knows people are looking for her. She's a strong willed, smart person. She become inconvenient for the mother's life style.
She was old enough to notice things and talk about them. She knew to be afraid of certain people and keep her sisters away from them. Inconvenient for the drug using/selling/holding for sure. She probably had some words about her mother's behavior and choice of companions, by that age. Also, was there a drug debt? Did the raid on the house disappear something that was owed for still? Was the child given as payment for something like that?
😥 💔 Thank you for the update on this sweet innocent girl. I pray that Antoinette is alive and well. Come home Antoinette, your sister needs to know you're okay...
Someone in gallup knows. It's a very small town, tight knit, you can't move your houseplant without someone seeing and asking why you move your plant? A lot if good people live there. These videos are very well done. You deserve an easy 5 million subs. Like every new mexican should be subbed to you!!
This was posted to a Message forum in regards to the Anthonette Cayedito case in October 2009, nearly 14 years ago by a person who grew up in Gallup, and went to school with Wendy. I find it to be credible: "There is another theory local authorities thought of but could not quite prove as the stories gathered centered around the immediate family. This thread is quite interesting and it has some good points. I'm not too sure how to say the whole thing but it mainly focuses on the mother as being the one directly involved. The neighborhood in which this family resided is considered very low income, within city limits, and on one of the main roads in the city. Approximately a week after this abduction occured, the mother acquired a brand new vehicle that was well beyond her income capabilities. If my child was abducted, having a new ride would be the last thing on my mind. Also, the mother's behavior after this abduction wasn't 'normal' for someone who was grieving. I don't remember details but it was along the lines that she had a carefree attitude as if she knew her daughter was ok. A theory that wasn't really emphasized due to the limited resources of people to interview, was that the mother arranged for her daughter to be 'married' off (illegally of course) in exchange for money (and how she got her vehicle). Taking that into mind, the mother and the other party conspired the kidnapping to make her disappearance more legit. Its a huge possibilty she made sure her daughter was awake enough to hear the knock on the door and knowing she would answer it had she believed it was her uncle. And while this event happened, the mother kept quiet in the room but didnt anticipate that Wendy (the sister) witnessed this situation (if she even did to begin with). I say this only because I knew Wendy as a child and she was no angel, not even close. She was in constant trouble, a well known liar, and a bully. There's a possibility that her behavior was the result of years of instilled fear from her mother in regards to 'witnessing' this kidnapping. If the mother is involved, that would explain the daughter's reluctance to runaway and seek help, knowing that her mother is the one involved with her departure. The phone call a year later could also be a ploy to keep up with the story of kidnapping and keep the mother clear. If you take Lori Hacking's husband as an example, he was involved with the search for his own wife and in the end, he was the one who killed her. He even went on national television pleading for her return. If this happened recently, what makes you think it didn't go on back then when she was kidnapped?" source: www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showpost.php?p=4306202&postcount=78
That phone call is chilling!! OMG it had to have been her. You would think her abductors / traffickers would be getting quite old and if she had not been brain washed to live in fear ,then possibly she could finally get away . If they didnt kill her. The lady saying she has children. This is so scary and heartbreaking thinking they would just continue the trafficking with her children since that is what age they like them. I pray for her sisters . How scary and horrible they have had this their whole lives to Im sure caused them to live in fear.May God hear my prayers and send you answers.
Thank you for covering this story. I don't understand how the FBI brought Penny in and didn't follow up after what she said. And then in her report, what Wendy said was not passed onto the Gallup police? Am I missing a piece? I've already watched this so many times? What held them up from following up? Poor Anthonette. God bless her and her family. Please keep us posted of any new information. God bless your hard work and dedication.❤
Thank you for doing this case. It's haunted me ever since I saw the Unsolved Mysteries episode when it originally aired. I've learned a lot of unpleasant things about Penny from this. But a LOT seems to be missing or edited out. Such as: Who is the mystery "babysitter" that was briefly mentioned? No reference to the waitress who saw her in the restaurant? No mention of the missing persons on Dad's side of the family?
Too many missing things/ info. What might the FBI know and quite possibly be covering up?? Is there any involvement there?? No one can trust or believe who might truly be involved in human trafficking.
I never knew anything about her mother's possible involvement I only knew what i heard on the Unsolved Mysteries segment I am glad i came across this and I continue to hope Anthonette will be found and her family will have closure
They really should have state troopers stationed at major truck stops and diners because that happens regularly. Girl and women are being trafficked all day every day. They need to make these establishments aware and train them on how to act if they suspect something.
Could it be that the reason why the FBI decided not to press charges against the mother following her potential confession of her involvement, was that the mother was given some level of legal immunity by the FBI since she would have been in contact with potential human traffickers the FBI was interested in, that is she became a sort of CI by providing the FBI with information about potential person of interest? Maybe Emo, or whomever else involved were tied to a bigger human trafficking org or something. Could be that thr FBI decided to pressed the mother on this issue, later on, just to get some influence on her. Maybe there's some leve confidentiality because of that regarding the people that were involved with the girls disappearance
To me the mother knew they were coming to get anthonette that night, thats why she put the girls to bed except her. When the men knocked on the door, the mother told anthonette to go with them. I mean when anthonette called the police station she failed a whole number instead of 911 and that always boggled my mind because why dial a whole 7 digit number before callin ur mothers number to tell her everything.. i always asked myself that question now i know why.. her mother is the one who did this.. there was no trust there.. saddddddddd
We are looking into the Carson City sighting to determine if there's anything that the public could benefit from knowing. We are trying to track down the restaurant employee. thank you for your support.
Thank you for bring the spot light back to Anthonette Cayedito. Ive heard about this case throughout my entire life, much like the Jonbenet Ramsey. You know i have a strong feeling that the argument that Penny had with Roger over her "selling" or giving Anthoinnet away (sorry about misspelling anyone's name). And like maybe Roger was concerned about her selling her daughter and that preceding argument had sown doubts about her decision to sell Anthonette because she knew what she was doing was wrong but Roger and Emiliano were probably pressuring Penny into letting them take Anthonette. And im sure either both Roger and Emo kidnapped that poor girl or Emo acted alone. Theres too much evidence and too many holes in Pennys original story of the events thst says otherwise
Thank you for all of your support. ;) We hope that with more eyes on the case, someone will come forward and give us information that could help bring Anthonette home. Just FYI: We do not have any evidence that Roger had anything to do with Anthonette's disappearance. I believe you are thinking of any man we mentioned in Part 1.
Unfortunately, statistics show there is a high percentage of abductions that are linked to family members of the missing child. We are hoping that someone, who knows something, will come forward and give Anthonette's sister's some answers. Thank you for your support.
I thought Isabel Celiz was harmed by her own family, but she was not . Rarely are children taken from their homes, but there are a handful of cases . There is a story of a boy in an apartment complex where the mom took out the trash and went for a swim , I can’t think of his name , but it’s always perplexed me… Zachary Barnhart
Wow! Great episode! It sort of put more depth into suspicions. I would like to hear the full 911 call, and other information, but I do realize that it compromise the case still at this point. But I thought I heard or read that the mom bought a new car shortly after the disappearance?
We do not have any evidence supporting claims that Penny went on a shopping spree and purchased a lot of new items after her daughter's disappearance. We have a video coming out today (April 14, 2023) where we answer some of these questions. Stay tuned...
I was the same way, I thought it was also strange the FBI did not charge her in the man that she knew, for her daughter's disappearance. After saying what would we go to jail if we were involved. Hell yeah, her and him, should been arrested.
Thank you so much for the work you have done. I just recently became aware of this case and something about it has really haunted me. I guess I’m just incredibly grateful for people like you out there and the work you do.
@@crystalgutierreztv you're welcome anytime time, I miss seeing you on krqe news every morning, you've been my favorite morning new anchor always made my mornings and day's no offense
This is absolutely soul crushing. My heart hurts for these girls. As someone that has had a front row seat to the HELL that is addiction, for several years, addiction will have one do things that they wouldn’t fathom doing otherwise. Addiction and mental illness will rip the strongest families apart. This was a single mother, addicted, living as a non white woman in the 1980’s. Nothing excuses what she confessed to. It does, however, fill in some blanks. I truly hope one day the girls get answers❤️
So is it possible Penny became an FBI informant after the drug raids before Anthonette disappeared, and then years later while giving an interview to the FBI when she gave a quasi-confession, the FBI purposefully left that out so she wouldn't be arrested and somehow reveal the FBI knew certain aspects of the case all along but never divulged crucial information because it would be detrimental to them?
There was a unidentified woman that looked so similar to anthonette age progression found dead in Albuquerque last year 😢 I still have the picture of the unidentified woman if your interested looks just like her.
First, Thank you for your support. As mentioned in the episode, we are still waiting for more details from the FBI on what Penny's "confession" meant...and what your possible involvement was. As soon as we get that, we will pass it on to the viewers. Our main mission for releasing her statement was to hopefully get someone, who knows something, to come forward.
The police report that was shown, it mentioned a child being buried. Has the police check out the information? Question the woman who made the 911 call? This is truly upsetting.
Wait, what happened here? I was led to believe in Part 1 that we would hear the FULL call from Anthonette. What happened? Why only the clip again? ugh😡
Law enforcement released a longer version of the clip decades ago. We requested the entire audio clip, but were told they no longer have it in evidence. We are working to get more information about what consequences, if any, law enforcement may face after not securing the entire audio clip as evidence. In addition, my apologies if you felt we teased that you would hear the entire audio clip...that was never our intention. At the end of Part 1 - we informed the viewer that we would dive further into the "confession" by Penny, which we did. Thank you for watching...and for your support. We did discuss some other questions you might have in the Q&A section.
Could the mother have maybe made a deal with the FBI giving info on other suspects or even another case (if there was drug involvement, etc.) and could that possibly be a reason she wasn’t arrested? Or if they had some reason to believe she was forced to give Anthonette up under duress or something (I feel like this is less likely)? Or reason to believe that, if she was arrested and that became known, that it might compromise the case in another way (like tipping off other suspects?). I wonder how much of this is just poor communication between the FBI and Gallop Police. Just trying to brainstorm…
I don't think Penny was honest with the FBI. I don't think she thought Anthonette was a problem or a burden. I don't think she though this Emo guy could "give her a better life" or whatever. For some reason she cannot tell the truth to the FBI. Who could be scarier than the FBI. Since I mention the FBI, I must say that I am not impressed with their work on this case. Not a shining moment for them. Who could be involved in the cr8minal side of this case, that they have to kid glove and tiptoe around it for decades.
Yeah I think that was her cover in case she got caught/was prosecuted, she was “trying to give her a better life” but really she sold her for money or drugs or something
Could wise for her years Anthonette have figured something out and said something about the drugs, leading to raids? Kids blurt things out sometimes. Or maybe mom was worried that could happen. I’m wondering what the statement “getting to be a problem” is supposed to mean from her mother’s interview…
It's an interesting story but as a content creator your intro is way too long, the music is overdone its not necessary. The actualtalking in the car is good and when you actual talk about the case its good. In youtube land you have about 30 seconds to catch the viewer or you lose them.
My thoughts is that when Anthonette made that quick phone call that she was killed that day and placed in the ground somewhere in Albuquerque. Just my thoughts.
@@XOXO-vd3bg omg you’re right 😮 😮 if it isn’t the person on the call, perhaps it’s a relative. You know how voices can kind of run in families and be similar among family members…
from the true crime I watch, Native American Indian girls go missing far more than any other American demographic and I would presume make up the overwhelming majority of all cold cases in the US. There's lots of things to consider, one is that Native American land has its own police and they operate or cooperate with public PD's and that is another barricade if you will where the communication hinders the response to a crucial and critical situation such as this one. Because native land has it's own PD, public PD lets them "do their own thing" if you will and that explains a lot to me anyway why there's so many cold cases involving native people, namely females. I'm not calling their PDs inept in a way that's insulting but maybe native PD personnel is not as equipped or qualified because of standards issues. Sure, the Gallup PD and I don't know their jurisdiction but there has to be a confusion issue when dealing with Indian cases where mortality is at stake, just because the native PD imaginably force their way in to get involved, to put up the face they look after their own. I mean it could be a factor, maybe not but I did want to throw out that bone so to speak.
Absolutely wonderful series (infuriating, but so well done). Why did the FBI never pass all of this on to the local authorities? Poor Sadie (and Wendy, too, of course). My heart breaks for them and for all of her family. One small suggestion for future videos: voice overs for the text on the screen. Blind or otherwise visually impaired folks are missing out on some good info.
The impaired have CLOSED CAPTIONINING on most all videos. I know, i use it all the time living in a high noise area. Have no trouble understanding/following these brilliant videos.
Have you considered a link with Larry Estrada's sister (Louisa Estrada) also going missing (said to have gone for a walk one evening and never returned).
This is facts. The sister says it was late at night she heard a knock at front door and anthonette went to answer the door and she heard a man and men. Something about uncle? And then she disappeared. My birth mother lived down a few houses. Was scary time for the lids in the neighborhood. Plus the freeway is right there!
What if the knocker said uncle Emo and Wendy in her sleepiness heard it as Joe hearing or comprehending it just the last part of 'o'. I was a huge unsolved mysteries watcher and seeing this episode and hearing the scream on the phone call made me cry for her.
The man that was bringing the flowers to the little girl. Sounds like to me he was grooming her. And I'm wondering if the mother knew that from the very beginning. Because what mother, in her right mind, would allow a grown man. To give their daughter, flowers and jewelry at 9 years old?
I first heard about this case many years ago and I would think Antoinette constantly, hoping some light would shine through, However I would suspect that the mom was involved because it’s so strange there was/is no much evidence of what she was doing, The only thing we know she liked to Party and have people over. I hope one day Antoinette comes back.
Her mom definitely guilty. I’m assuming she was either supposed to get her back & didnt. Or she had 2nd thoughts when she went missing. That’s why she attempted to go look for her.
Im genuinely curious as to why Penny and this Emeliano person werent taken into custody? With the statement she made couldn't that have been held against her?
Why on earth won’t they pursue that emo now to get some answers. Why can’t they see that? He was mentioned by the mother in the plot. If there’s any truth to it, he may have been victimizing young girls all this time. Criminals need to be held accountable. The BIA, are they doing anything to assist with missing Native Americans? I know they have a list of missing natives on their website but not sure if it’s up to date. I’d volunteer to help get it updated.
the mother probably thought they were just keeping her one night or whatever not that that makes it any better. That seems to be what is going on in the Summer Wells case as well
During that drug raid at the mother's house - did the FBI find anything? I was wondering if they child was taken as a threat to the mother. Like if the mother owed them money or because they suspected she was assisting the fbi. But then I read here in the comments somebody say the mother bought a sports car after her daughter went missing...is this true? If so it pretty much nails the theory that she sold her. Something about the mother's confession is off though. I think the mother was frightened. I think they all were and still are.
I’m a black 29 year old woman , I will NEVER forget I . I’ve almost got abducted by a Mexican man I will NEVER forget an he plotted on me an my siblings. He came by a few days before and ask do we know what’s so & so live and so scary Calle back days later asking us to come here. One to the car he have candy
That’s scary. We hear of abductors using promises of candy or treat of some sort to lure their victims. It happens to children, as well as adults. Promise of work, payment, etc.
This is really sad I had no idea the mom was involved and she was saying she didn’t know anything and she was going to even seeing medicine man searching for clues answer when she already knew along who took her I went to school with Wendy one day she was at school and just like that didn’t return we were wondering what happened to her after the show aired on unsolved mysteries we think maybe the they left Gallup due to the show being aired. 🤷🏻♀️
i read somewhere yrs ago thr was a deceased girl that matched discription in burque around some known families addresses. guess it wasnt pertinent cause police didnt follow through...dont know if it were true too.
I believe the mother was more involved, than everyone realizes. I believe she got herself into trouble owing money, for drugs or whatever. And sadly she let her daughter pay the price, for her debt. This is my opinion.
I do believe the mother was involved, not because she confessed but because every detail of this case points to that, like you mean to tell me your child is screaming and mom didn’t hear nothing idk she wasn’t a baby she was 9 years old she would’ve fought back or screamed for her mom, I don’t think she is alive because it has been so many years I mean this woman it’s in her 40s I think she would’ve reached out, because she was 9 her memory should be in tact and I know it is possible for her to have forgot who she was but giving her description of a very mature child I don’t know there’s just so much that doesn’t make sense here
