My first vehicle as a 16 year old was a 2000 2wd tundra. Then got and still have our 04 double cab. Now I have a 2016 pro for my dad rig. All these trucks have a special place in my heart. I plan to be a lifetime tundra owner. Not too sure about the new gens. I’ll stick with my 2.5 gen pro, love this thing.

I have a 2019 limited CM and at 77k miles its been rock solid. I towed 3500lbs for 50k miles 5-6 days a week from 30 below to 100 in the summer. The trans is still solid though it does give me some bump or hard shifts when on and off the gas in traffic. I change the fluids regularly and hope it lasts for many years to come. No trans cooler here so I guess ill update as time goes on but so far so good.

forgot to mention I had to give 49900 during covid and it had 19k miles on it. So though it was a high price I got a low interest rate and payments are 725/mo. Thats high for me but I see some new trucks well over 1000/mo now

Me too man. It's my dream truck. I had a nice 1st gen, then unfortunately crashed it a week after insurance unknowingly ran out.. ugh.. but ya, a nice 2nd gen crew max with red rock leather is dream truck. Lunar rock or army green would be a bonus.

I won a 2018 platinum! My only complaint is that they only offered the platinum in 4 colors at the time! I didn’t realize that was a lot of changes, I do know when I ordered my retractable steps the wiring was all different and they had a hell of a tie getting them to work

I had a 2018 Tundra SR5 double cab with the 6.5" bed. I traded it for a 2020 Limited Crew Max when I heard that Toyota was dropping the 5.7 V8. I have not been sorry. Both are great trucks but I just didn't need that extra bed length.

Mark, Is there any advantage to buying a ‘21 over a ‘20 Tundra? Looking at a used ‘20 limited double cab / 6.5’ bed with Limited Premium & TRD off road packages -52k miles, all badging removed, running boards, sprayed on Bed liner and tonneau cover.

Hi there! Same setup. Changes came in 2020 and the truck was unchanged for 2021. So both years rule!

Thank you for all of the great information and advice. I have a question for you and would like your opinion. I am a long time Ram owner and looking to make the switch to a Tundra. Wanting the 5.7, I’m leaning towards a low mileage 2021 platinum or 1794. That said, a used 2022 are nearly the same price. What are your thoughts on the current model year V6? What would you do in this situation? Thank you!

In that situation, i would get a low mileage 2021. The 2022 has had some issues and is going through one currently

Research around. There are some sweet 21s coming off of lease out there
