Japanese Atlantis (2004): Exploring the underwater remains of a mysterious Japanese palace
For downloads and more information visit journeyman.tv/15208/short-film...
Come dive with us to the "Sea God's Palace," one of the world's greatest mysteries.
Experts believe it may be the remnants of a vast underwater city, a Japanese Atlantis. We explore this giant pyramid beneath the waves, with drainage ditches, rooms carved in rocks, massive stone steps and even perhaps a once bustling boulevard. But were these strange shapes carved by human hands or the waves? Masaaki Kimura, the leading expert on the underwater monument, calls it the oldest building on earth. "We have been able to collect relics, stone tools...direct evidence that humans existed," he says. There are indeed several similar monuments on land, ancient castles that formed the heart of the Okinawan empire. The region's traditional graves were also often built beside the sea. Perhaps the monument was the victim of rising sea levels as the ice age ended

I'm leaning heavily toward the "artificial" side of the argument. That straight, parallel groove that goes on for quite a distance really tears it for me. In a Russian documentary, they found a perfect, deeply carved square hole in one of the rocks. And it wasn't modern; they had to dig coral out of it to reveal that it was square. I feel it in my gut that civilization is older than we've always thought. And my gut is never wrong, especially when it comes to food:)

of course its man made, comon'! We know about plate tectonics, ice ages, and Pangaea. This was clearly once above water and represents an ancient human city.
@EricMuyser

How long ago would it have been created to be a result of tectonics?

'Of course' and 'clearly' are not scientific terms. Perhaps you think this is manmade because it looks like certain things elsewhere that are manmade; geologists think it's natural, because... it looks like certain thingelsewhere that are natural

Well obviously the Ancients were building on the shore during the last ice age. Ice age ended and a lot of cities got submerged with the rising sea levels. I think building techniques are a lot older than we think.

Those people before the flood where amazing and this to me is another power full look at the damage said flood did to the earth. Simply amazing. The more we learn about and find these ruins the harder the evidence is to hide. This makes me wonder could the ark have been created in Japan?

. . The stories, even myth of the “Sea God’s Palace,” is potentially far reaching into the past; possibly, just as significant as the myth of the city of “Ancient Troy” once was to Middle East studies and finds.

I wish we could see all these underwater cities. See if there's any small artifacts that we could bring up and examine. Imagine what we could learn. It drives me crazy to think its all down there but too expensive to explore it all the way. I guess there's a huge city under the Caribbean. Check it out.

One thing that they don't mention is whether the monument bares any resemblance to the surrounding underwater coast of Yonaguni. If it seems to be a more extreme version of the island natural underwater features, then that would seem to indicate that it is natural.

Not only are they showing the water erosion on the sphinx, then this, and on top of all that there's a video that proves Phi and the metric system is used to build the pyramids in egypt. It also shows that if you start at Easter Island and draw a line through the Great Pyramid of Giza and continue on around earth back to Easter Island, that like 30 megalithic structures lie within that 25,000 mile line.

some of this stuff is way older and way more tech and industry oriented than people think. tihuanacu is defined as a massive religious center when its a mining and water filtration center, the main pyramid there has a gigantic sandstone base topped with much denser stone. sandstone is a great water filer.

I believe Yonaguni is within the Telluric current distribution. This is a subtle energy, however under the right geological conditions this energy can be usefully harnessed as some theroize with the Giza Pyramids (see the Pyramid Code episode 2). In Asia these lines were called Dragon Lines, & in Australia, Songlines.

Here's a quote from the expedition report from the archaeologist Shri Sundaresh, the only archaeologist to dive under there: "The terraced structures with a canal are undoubtedly man-made, built by cutting an existing huge monolithic outcrop. The rectangular terraced structure and canal probably might have served as a jetty for handling, loading/unloading small boats before its submergence to present depth" Even the geologists Masaaki Kimura , Robert Schoch and Wolf Wichmann have opposing views

One does not have to pass through any portal to see the entire site, but I can understand them trying to pull that one, since going through that portal, which is there, is pretty trippy. This site is strange, to say the least, and leaves us scratching our heads in bewilderment as to what, if any, role humans played in its formation.

When the worlds sea levels were lower over 10, 000 years ago. They were low enough that this structure would have been exposed as dry land. Other parts of the world close to the coasts before the sea levels rose would have been inhabited.

If you look at certain islands you can see were old islands were connected, you can see old cities, some very large, there are lots of reported underwater cities and pyramids like this in many places. Int the Himalayas were theres some lakes u can see buildings under them, 1 was an old temple, isnt it possible weve had very advanced ppl in the past but extreme events put us back,, and hope Japan survive their recent events

I have looked through google and couldn't find any examples of right angles in eroded sandstone or mudstone, please can you provide me of a link showing natural right agles in erosion. The chances of having 2 parallel faces upon a stone through natural erosion is highly unlikely. To have many of these stones on the same site is too much of a coincidence.

that is really interesting. i never would have thought that Japan would have an Atlantis. but for people that believe that people can't carve huge things out of one large piece of rock are wrong.. i mean come on... Mount Rushmore was carved out of the side of a mountain, no extra stone put in but that to fill some cracks. it's possible. it might take a long ass time but i believe it's possible. :) awesome video btw thanks.

@omarking909 There's alot of mystery as well in the rest of South East Asia. The chain of archipelagos that stretch from the south of China to the North of Australia. They weren't islands to begin with. In fact, they were part of 3 great land masses in the area a long time ago. They were Wallacea, Sundaland, and Sahundaland. Research about it. There's also the mystery of the sunken land masses off the coast of Florida all the way to the north of Brazil.

@skeetereze I don't know if there is some reason to keep the researches under wraps. It seems exists too many analogies between few ancient writings, survived to fanatism and new archeo/geological discoveries. Too many similarities to be just coincidences. All located between 11,500 and 6000 BC. All the discoverings were built much earlier than official history says and all bear traces of having been submerged for some time..
