I loved your series, it was so easy to follow. I am very new to curly hair... what hair dryer would you recommend? Also do I need to diffuse and how often?
This was on of the best serie I've seen explaining the process of washing following Black Girl Curls. I hope someday you'll be able to film the drying process right after you style your hair in the shower. Great job ! Your hair looks amazing ! I've been consistenly doing wash n go since last year. It's easiest for me to style my hair.
I’m on my 3rd week of the 3 step hydration process. the main issue i’m having is how am i supposed to sleep with my hair? i do the pineapple method with a scarf & put a bonnet on top but when i wake up in the morning my hair is molded to the pineapple form & i end up frizzing it trying to get it back in place.
I follow the same regimen. I did switch from hooded dryer to diffusing because I didn’t have a sit under dryer just an attachment and it really shrinks my hair up. I like diffusing after letting it sit for a bit but I would prefer a sit under dryer (saving for one). My question is before the diffusing that you showed us to loosen your cast and get volume, did you sit under the dryer or diffuse the first time?
Honestly this was the most straight forward approach that I can honestly process I saw the book and was wondering if it was worth purchasing because there are so many products I’ve been transitioning since Dec 2019 and purchased inner sense a month ago I like them. I need to learn a few more things and maybe it’s time and validation i need to go ahead and purchase that book 😊 Thank you for your content
When I use a diffuser on my hair after styling with Kinky Curly, my hair is less defined and frizzy, but then when I air dry, it's more defined. The only thing is, it never fully dries within one day when air drying. Do you have any tips for me on how to use the diffuser to help set and dry my curls? I have a short, fine coily hair. I've been washing /conditioning (both olaplex plus a medicated shampoo for my scalp) and styling (Kinky Curly) once a week for the past month, no oils or anything else. Unfortunately, no one in the directory is close to me
I’ve seen people air dry by sitting in front of a fan, also maybe change the product, I noticed kinky curly even though i loved it it made my hair frizzy sooner
This is super interesting. once my hair is styled I am so afraid of water lol Its only ever caused me frizz. and I know that's insane bc our hair needs WATER so it really should be my bestie *insert eyeroll* yeah ima need to save up to speak to a curling professional lol also my wash and gos have been taking me two hours *again eye roll* lol but gonna try this technique (wash and style) today!
UNDER ONE HOUR WASH + STYLE! IT'S AMAZING. lol though the top of my hair definitely but up a fight. it curls for no one it feels like. straight out the shower "dripping wet" is still dry and frizzy *think emoji* anyway thank you sooo much for this series!! my hair will most likely thank you this summer too :)
i’m trying to do research so i can start the three step process and i have some questions. the first one is, is diffusing or applying heat a must during this process? is miss jessie’s multicultural curls okay to use as the only product? and can i just use uncle funky’s daughter curl magic or do i need to use other products like you did in part two? thank you!
Hi! Thanks for visiting! I honestly don’t know about other products and cannot speak to how they with perform. As far as a dryer is concerned, in my professional opinion, you need heat to aid in the drying process. The idea is to capture the curls and hydration, therefore capturing the elongation. By allowing the hair to air dry, you give the hair time to significantly shrink up while the water is evaporating slowly.
It came out amazing! Love it! Do you know when you will open your books back up? I was referred to you by a client of yours and I can’t wait to see you!
Tenesa Saffold Thank you!! I’m not sure at the moment. As soon as it’s safe for us to be outside! Follow me on Instagram, I will most likely be posting my return there. IG:@aCurlyWalk
Wow! I loved this series of videos! Thank you so much 🤍 One question/suggestion is how do you take care of your hair during the week or until the next wash day?
