The company I worked for did a charity casino night at The Cafe de Paris must've been 17 years ago and we paid him to attend. I've got a brill pic somewhere of me playing Rock Paper Scissor with him. He was a real gent actually. Sadly the musical act was supposed to be Amy Winehouse but our company was so stingy that they didn't want to pay for her band, even though she personally would do it for free. :( Think we ended up with the Lighthouse Family instead.

I used to talk sweetly to my regular service heating machines but once was asked to visit a customers’ neighbour whom to my horror turned out to be a dragon & ex wife of one of the districts’ premier sheltered housing developers. the thing hadn’t worked for days , was antiquated & complicated & one guy had took a look & ‘ gone to get something from the van ‘ . I switched it on & nothing happened so took out a Phillips to begin unscrewing it’s first case screw whilst muttering “ don’t be a stubborn over complicated french pile of useless crap “ ( it was a vaillant) - to suddenly be greeted with the sound of its electronic ignition sequence….The owner thought I was god & I felt like one as I drove away. Jobs like that keep you going & believing whereas real hard men don’t even need screwdrivers

@vonteflon to be honest einstein, it sounds like shit to me and even if it is sheets, which it could well be, its an easy mistake to make, not too bad considering i have no hearing in my left ear
