A Boeing spacecraft carrying two NASA astronauts is on its historic maiden voyage. The landmark launch kicked off the first crewed test flight of the capsule and marked the culmination of a long and trying development process.
The launch of Starliner is just trying to complete a contract with NASA without any anomalous event that could jeopardize the flight. They really don't care if people are impressed or not. A successful flight will prove itself.
She also got multiple facts wrong like the beginning of commercial spaceflight to the ISS since really started back in 2020 the SpaceX crew dragon that they've been using the whole time
@@starship2023she's got some Musk Derangement Syndrome going on... she did say 'besides SpaceX' at the end of that sentence, pretty much saying that if someone she didn't like is the first one to do something exciting then it doesn't count. Trying to give the gold medal to second place😆
Hey buddy, SpaceX is good at putting astronomy-destroying satellites into space every other day, but real living people made it to the ISS on that rocket.
Compared to the billions of cars and factories it's not to bad if you think about it. Hell we need to get better anyway. Many generations after gonna have to take to the sky's to survive doomsday.
Space is our future. Hopefully, we won't need it due to climate change! I like Earth. Too, we don't want despotic countries getting ahead of us technically and scientifically.
I do believe in our human footprint adding to climate change problems. But, space is our future, too, (hopefully not because of climate change...I prefer living on Earth!). We can't ignore that either and it doesn't hurt to have private $'s, not just government $'s, paying for figuring it all out. Too, we don't want despotic countries passing us by in science and tech. Because of that, I think the space race is probably the biggest motivation to invent cleaner energies because fossile fuels aren't going to get anyone very far into the realms of space. Food for thought.
Hd footage of it taking off, 70s footage of the boosters, than a computer model. I'm not a flat earther, but by now the fact that there isn't "planet earth" levels of hd footage of space seems a bit strange. Yet in the early 2000s they where redoing all the footage of all those Gemini missions and the other one (forget the name) and it was all these NASA vhs and DVD sets coming out.my dad had em all.now we have amazing cameras, and no shots of space
I wonder why or if helium platforms are not being used to launch from in the ionosphere.? It may be impractical but it would surely take less combustible fuels to launch from that point IMHO. 🤔
Just goes to show that what goes up doesn’t necessarily come down… Hey you 2 astronauts… better to hitch a ride with Elon’s group next time they exchange folks…
The Atlas main engines burn RP-1 which is a kerosene fuel which does produce CO2, but since it only burns for a few minutes very little CO2 is produced. It is only when there are thousands of launches per year that we would begin to see a significant uptick in CO2 produced by rocket launches. By then there may be less polluting fuels. The SLS rocket burns Hydrogen and oxygen which produces water as a byproduct as one less polluting example.
Why you complaining about nasa 24 billion dollar budget and not the dod 850 billion dollar budget that's 3 times higher than the country with the 2nd highest
I'm not complaining about NASA or government. I would like Billionaires to help homeless folks. Or victims of child abuse and KP. Some police like the PRP and OPP shoot the messenger. Spike ™
We're only concerned about climate change when it concerns what the citizens are up to and not what corporations and the government is up to. Rule for thee, not for me
Boeing CGI footage of their capsule in space SpaceX multiple cameras streaming live footage all the way. Which one would you put your life in the hands of?
Big deal you weren't trained to know the ins and outs of Starliner and besides you would never be asked anyway! So your point is kind of irrelevant isn't it??
