My property taxes DOUBLED this year. I will see nothing improved in my neighborhood, I promise you. I am expected to pay literally thousands and thousands of dollars more a year out of pocket, and this board states that the number one priority for the money they have is to build a 90 MILLION dollar city hall and municipal complex???? REALLY? A building most of us will hardly ever step foot in? I've lived here my whole life and have a family and I have literally never once needed to walk into Clearwater City Hall. It's already on prime waterfront property what a colossal waste of money. I can see why he resigned, working with these people. It makes even more sense that he works in wealth management. He sees the writing on the wall.
I totally get it. I'm sure the obligation he feels to the city is waying heavily on him and this was probably agonizing decision. But, yeah, it's that bad folks. Looks like the lady to his right was absolutely floored too.
@1:12 Vice-Mayor (to Mayor's right) just had a stroke. I don't think she likes Hoyt, and she is a little pissed that he did not recommend her as his replacement.
I haven’t kept up at all, only on awful despic Scientology takeover of Clearwater. But definitely all the best to this gentleman sounds to be a concerned public service with integrity.
@@megavideomarketing it was a Joke I don’t live in Clearwater I know Scientology has a proven history of attacking people who don’t fall in line with there dubious ideology and publicly attacks journalists and etx members and run smear campaigns and pays for web pages to appear on top of internet searches on certain people filled with lies and they have systematically held Clearwater back from development so when I sea a mayor looking flustered mentioning his family’s safety in an impromptu resigning I wonder if Xenon or his on earth minion David Msgv has a hand to play. 😂😂😂😂😂
Living in Clearwater, it's obvious how broken the city govt is. It's out of control. The stench/flies in Summer from garbage. The harsh restrictions/regulations on homeowners. The extremely wasteful spending on projects that are based on old ideals, and a certain "religious" group. In the end, the beach, snd the scratching of backs, is all that matters to those in political power here. They're just out of touch, and going through the motions while thinking they have unlimited resources. While our state rapidly declines, you would hope that our cities would put in greater efforts... but it's politics in America... do perhaps it's my fault for expecting the basics. To those that work under these politicians in Clearwater, like our Sewer/Trash, parks, service personnel... Thank you!!! I know it can't be easy and I'd have rather given you all an extra % raise, instead of needlessly building a new city hall. You deserve that much at least.
lot of corruption in these city councils, ppl drawn to and by power and feeling like they have friends with money but those people with money are not really their friends, they are just doing what they know is best for their agenda
He probably got some personal investments doing well. If so congratulations. I don't blame him. People are terrible. Let people fail, fall and burn. We're never going to get along anyways.
So DNA means nefarious people in the background just get their way automatically? What happened to being truthful and transparent? I can guess that he was ambiguous because his family is being threatened. “This guy knew his place” means to me that the place is crawling with those who believe they own the place and can do anything they want - despite others who co-exist in the community. It’s like, ‘yes, you can reside here and pay taxes, but we can spend that money any way we please, and you have no say because our DNA was here first.’ So pathological of them to say the least.
Job 12:24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. 25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
