hi! can you make a video for prospective first-time cat owners? looking to foster/adopt but don't want to do it impulsively after falling into these cat hole vids
Love your videos. I use with my cats the same routine I used with my kids when they were small. The fur kids know that 8:00pm is diiner and bed time. They eat and then go to sleep until the next morning....seven years later my cats still following the schedule. It is funny because sometimes they remind me is bed time and also wake up in the morning. So far so good. 😺😺💛💚
Thank you so much! It's been a week since I adopted a kitten and your videos are really helpfull since we live in a small apartament too! Now I'm cat-proofing home and doing my best to understand the energy predictability...kittens can be really challenging and hight mantenance, mine is full of energy and if I don't play with him enought he will jumps everywhere and caches everything! I will be back to work soon I hope and he will be alone for 5-6 h at day, so now I'm taking my time to better understand his behavour suring the day! I grow up with cats with outdoor access, but I'm now realizing that apartament cats are a whole different stroy! Thank you!!!
I love these videos!! So many of us live in small apartments and your tips are great. I tried to toy cycle but they’ve basically haven’t tried to play with anything more than once, even after u sprinkle catnip a few days later! I also have all the types of toys you mentioned! Maybe some just don’t like toys? Mine are quite young tho so that feels strange. I would love to play with them rathe than them zoomie all over when I’m trying to sleep...
It's possible that they haven't discovered a toy that is their style yet! My cats all have different tastes in toys. However, some cats are more picky than others hahaha. My Rosie will ONLY play with interactive wand toys.
Thank you, your videos are really helpful! I'm thinking of getting a cat and was worried the cat will get bored living in a small space with me in a studio apartment :) apparently we just need to be creative in arranging the space.
Feeding time has always worked for me to sync the cats to my pattern. I only leave dry food out if i wont be home for more than 8 hours. No 24/7 buffet, or they will run their own show. They eat when I say, and with that comes a natural match in active hours as I feed them when I eat, they sleep when I sleep etc.
I think I must be doing some things right for my kitten. Love watching your videos. I would love to have a high cat highway but I fear I don’t have much wall space available. My baby does have a routine though and usually I could set my watch by this. I love cats and having them from kittens is a total delight when most of mine have been rescue cats who always seem to make their way to my house when they need help. Looking forward to watching all your future po#ts. 😊😊😊
Hello! I hope you get around to answering my question! I recently moved into an apartment and came across two young kittens who live with me now. But I have two cats at my dads who will live with me as soon as possible. So it caught my eye when your video mentioned 4 cats! I was wondering your cats genders?
Hello, found your videos after adopting a kitten into a 2 bedroom flat. They were so helpful and reassuring. Ended up getting another kitten! Do you have any advice for what you do with any poop accidents or how often you clean the trays? On your recommendation I got pine litter! Much better for tracking as long as there is regularly clean but the eldest keeps stepping in her own mess when she goes.
Thanks! I'm so glad some of my advice has been helpful! For your questions. I clean up the tray every night before I go to bed. I have had some accidents similar to yours where they sometimes step in their own mess but over time they learn how to avoid it. Or it could be a simple case of adding a bit more pine litter than usual so that more surface area is covered.
@@monsieurtn thank you for taking the time to respond. I'm going to try adding more pine litter. Please keep up the content :) ! Your cats are beautiful little individuals.
Ah! Sorry, I missed this comment - it was quite easy actually. Most apartments allow pets I believe. Having a small dog or cat is quite popular nowadays for apartment living!
Hello! Thanks for commenting again! My current apartment is 30ish square meters. Maybe a bit more or a bit less. I use to live in an even smaller apartment with my cats that was around 20 square meters!
monsieur tn Thank u so much for replying every time :) And yoo that’s actually so incredibly cool cause you have indeed made such great use of space and it doesn’t even look cramped with 4 cats in there!
Thanks! I feed my cats twice a day. Once in the morning and one before they go to sleep. My article might give you more information about it! monsieurtn.com/strategies-cat-weight-loss/#My_Recommendation_on_Frequency_Mealtimes
She’s a Scottish Straight (Scottish fold with straight ears). Her family is quite interesting too! Her father is a munchkin and her mom is a white haired Scottish fold. She’s the only one out of her brothers and sisters to have both long legs and straight ears hahaha
Hi! The only cat that I got from a breeder is the Russian Blue, for the rest of my cats, I adopted them from families that could no longer take care of them (my Bengal cat and Scottish Straight). The 4th (korean shorthair, Loki) was sort of a surprise because he was a rescue cat that my local vet really wanted to find a home for so I decided to take him in. For a lot of my pet products I purchase here on the local online websites in South Korea. I just chose chewy as the affiliate program I wanted to promote!
Ahhh, I see. Thank you for explaining. What local online websites do you buy all your cat supplies from? I’m moving to Korea soon & bringing my cat with me. Will need to catify my apartment from top to bottom once I get there!
@@lecyvee3619 There's a really great online market when you get your banking system set up in Korea called Coupang! Their one day delivery (not shipping...delivery!) is awesome and it'll get you a bit...spoiled here hahaha. Has a good selection of local cat supplies and overseas products too!
@@lecyvee3619 Yes, most Korean online market sites are a bit picky with what you can use to pay. Luckily it's pretty easy to set up banking info and then use your card after that.
