I WISH I would have known all of this before I WASTED a ton of money on wigs I can't use! I must have ordered ten wigs and still haven't spent the right one! I tnought I purchased the best toppers until they started to look horrible because I was washing them every other time I wore them. Not to mention that they were heat friendly BUT I didn't know what that meant! Luckily I was able to repair them even though I RUINED one but trying to cut off the dry ends when it just needed some steam/heat! Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do a video about what styling products are best for wigs? Thank you Lovely!🙄🙄❤❤❤😘😘😘

Thank you! I have been going to a place for over 9 yrs that I pay monthly for service and real human hair “hair systems” and the costs have been growing. I am wanting to transition to “fun” wigs as well as normal looking hair and after watching a few of your videos, I finally feel like I can do this and my anxiety has greatly diminished due to your thorough and friendly videos!!! Thank you for passing on your knowledge and self confidence.

Hello! I have never worn a wig but I’m interested in buying one. I recently started looking at wigs because I wanted to cosplay certain characters but I don’t want to dye my hair to do it. I’ve always just chosen characters with my natural color so that I could just style my own hair. I do have a 6” topper with bangs that blends into my hair pretty well, I feel like that topper is what put the idea in my head that I could do a full wig. But the more I started looking into wigs, the more I started to like certain ones for “everyday” use. Now I’m contemplating just getting one for fun. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, this video is great & I’m glad you mentioned the density because a wig that I have been eyeing for a few months is 150 density and now I’m thinking I should get one of the lower density wigs first like you said and work my way up. Also, I’ve noticed a lot of people smooth the part on the wig down. I prefer hair with some volume. My natural hair is really flat so I have to blow dry my hair upside down. Which lace front wig type would be good for adding a little lift in the front. For instance, can you add volume to the front of a fixed part or do you need at least a one inch free part or larger (lace area)? Thank you for the video!
@JesseMSimons
@JesseMSimons 2 года назад
Hi!! Great question. I would suggest a free part for sure. One that has a larger parting area will have more volume.

Omg you hit the right things when you said “Somebody’s gonna out me!” Because I still occasionally feel like someone’s gonna call me out on it. I also have thinning issues but I’ve become quite confident in my wigs and my husband loves how I look in them so now I probably wouldn’t care if somebody “outed me”. However, thank you for making this video, after about a year of wearing wigs, I can def say all the things you mentioned in the video is what I’ve done so far- even the rabbit hole of getting different products! My only problem is the wig grip doesn’t stay on my head and snaps off while I’m wearing my wig, which pulls my wig with it! I fear my head is so odd shapen that no grips will help. The back of my head is very small and flat so hence the grips won’t stay. Any tips you would recommend?
@JesseMSimons

What type of grip are you using? Lace wig grip/rubber/or grip cap combo?

Thank you so much for the tips. I’m very new at wearing wigs and I just recently spent over 300 dollars on a wig that I thought it was gonna make me look like a super star. lol But instead it was completely different from what I was expected. Very disappointing because the color was wrong, the style was off. I’m not even sure what I should do. And I spent so much money on it. I think it’s easier to try to make it work than send it back.

What flatiron do you like to use? The one have is melting my beauties. I'm new to wigs & I love it!! Your channel is Amazing.
@JesseMSimons
@JesseMSimons Год назад
I avoid flat irons unless they have the air flow tech. Otherwise I use alot of different heat tools my favorite is still a hot comb. It does everything I need it to on my wigs without needing other tools so that is a usually my go to! I can post a link to the one I use currently and love if you want. 😊

@@JesseMSimons, even just a name so I don't ruin any more of mine would be awesome. I love the ease of throwing them on and out the door. Plus after cancer and covid, my bio hair needs a break..You are awesome and I'm loving your tips! TIA🤩

Amazon is usually the best place for wig care at low prices. Or Walmart has a lot of the things I need for my wigs and they are always decently priced.

I would look at 130% density I get mine from Chelseysmithcosmetics.com/Jesse If you type 130% in the search bar they should all show up. 😊

Most companies list it on the description. If not I would ask for it. 😊
