needed this reminder, I've had two major Accidents in the last 13 months and I'm going for ACl surgery in 2 weeks which will be my fifth major surgery I've had since last march when I broke both my wrists and my jaw while mountain biking, I was mostly healed up and went back to my passion which is rock climbing back in August and now this march I slipped while 12 feet up on the rock wall fell and severed my ACL, partial tear of my inner Thigh muscle, and 2 complex tears in my meniscus. Been struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts (I would never do it) but I don't want anyone worrying about me so I've kept it to myself. sorry I didn't mean to write all of this, been struggling today and just wanted to get it off my chest.
I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through all this. I know it’s hard to have your passions put on pause. Keep focusing on what you CAN do right now. Maybe you can’t rock climb, but you may be able to find a new passion in the mean time while you heal up.
