I remember I had a job that had a six month probation period for new hires. The manager got hostile towards me halfway in and I knew I wasn't staying past the probation period. Used a sick day to interview and got a job there. On the last Friday before the probation was up, the manager drags me into a meeting with her boss and the dept director. They were like "We're sorry to announce we're letting you go." I just grinned like the Cheshire Cat and said "Yeah, I bet you are," and I showed them the job offer letter. They were speechless. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go celebrate now that I don't have to deal with y'all's BS anymore. Have a nice life.,"
Oh, that was such a smart move! 😎 I love how you took the matter into your own hands and didn’t wait and pray to all the possible Gods for them to keep you after this probation period. Great example and I hope more people will read this! 💪
I just get fired..I work hard..but I think they don't see my result..that is why they fired me..I am so sad..because my work is more on documentation..so they didn't see a result in that..blame it to my stupid boss
Multilingual, highly educated, gorgeous, young, fearless, outspoken to name just a few of your attributes. You'll be fine. It was definitely their loss. Keep growing your RU-vid channel and any other side projects that make income for you so you can choose to work for others and not do so out of necessity.
Oh, that’s so kind of you 🥰 Thanks a lot! Now, since I’m back on RU-vid, I’m so happy and grateful to have the possibility to share my thoughts, experiences, and creativity with you.
@@LuminitaFlorea From what you said in your video, documenting the work you've done may not have helped you in this circumstance. The corporate world is quickly changing the way they operate. For example instead of what have you done for me lately, it's now what are you doing for me *today* .
That's defintely good that you derived take away points from the experience! However, I think the company culture is also relevant to the success of the new candidate. I specifically mean that subordinates should have good mentors, those who have more experience with the company to lead them to their success. This doesn't mean the mentors are assigning busy work, but rather guiding subordinates in a way to give them the tools to perform succesfully
I wrote 50% of my company's code base. It is so large and complex, I might the only one who can understand it by now. If I get fired, good luck reading my code and reverse engineering the thing.
Good content keep rocking💐💐💐 I think we are a product of all our experiences😊😊. We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes - understanding that rejection and failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.👨🎓👨🎓
@@LuminitaFlorea Thanks for the compliment. I know you are only losing your job, not your confidence.💪💪.The moral is If the item in hand is lost, the most favorite item will be available soon😊😊 i wish you will get a good job soon.. any update about my mail??
WHAT THE HECK?!??? How great is your actual style????!!!??!?( I will not say new style, because knowing you, it can easily and fast go one more other way/style 😅) What a genius sister do I have! Congrats! It‘s truly great great great 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I joined as a sales executive (did an IT degree but wanted to switch fields), HR assured me that I'll be trained and stuff. So I join and next day boss leaves for trip. Comes back, I get my email and start my contacts. One week goes by and HR tells me boss doesn't want me as I'm the type who needs to be spoon fed
Hi! So sorry about this experience of yours. It’s really odd and I think there was a very clear miscommunication problem between HR and the manager. Also, I’ve noticed that the managers often times would join the recruiting process at a later stage (the last interview, for example) to see if the candidate is the right fit for the department. In your case, it sounds like the HR assured you some things and, at the same time, promised the manager some other things 😄 Either way, I hope you found a better job afterwards 💪
@@LuminitaFlorea The thing that really made me depressed is how the manager was actually part of the recruiting process from start and assured me I'll be trained. For three weeks I didn't get my email or necessary tools to start the job, so I went around, asking the seniors for guidance and tips, made notes and all that stuff. Although in the end, when I did get credentials, that's what I got. Even the HR was bamboozled and told me they could shift me to another department (packaging, but that's not something I am interested in) so it came to that. It was my first job, and to hear such comments. I don't know what to do right now tbh.
@@firstsight3429 I’m really sorry that your first job experience was so bad. Taking this into account, it makes even more sense that you needed a lot of guidance (which the company obviously failed to offer). However, as you mentioned before, this is a great opportunity to learn and improve for your next position. I think one of the biggest takeaways would be to be insistent right at the beginning and make sure you’ve got everything you need to work. My personal advice is to not get despaired, reflect on your previous experience, and start looking for the next one. There are so many companies out there who will benefit from your knowledge and personality 💪
@@LuminitaFlorea thank you so much for the advice. It really means a lot to me, and I'll be sure to do that! Got an interview in ten minutes, fingers crossed!
