Uhhh I don’t think 100 is cheap. Is it cheaper than the viper ultimate? Yes. But the sensor isn’t as good, neither are the side buttons, neither is the charging method so it’s cheaper but it is a considerably worse option which does affect the perception of pricing

Got mine today. Glides great for me on a cloth pad. Only loud on a hard pad at which point what mouse isn't. All my mice are loud on my hard pad. And most of them have aftermarket PTFE feet.

Bought one today (24oct2021) and for some reason checked this review - the feet issue seems now fixed: the thing glides seamlessly on my mousepad, feels wonderful. Btw on the video - scratching it on a desk without a pad under it feels a bit weird, it IS a gaming mouse after all and meant to be placed on a decent pad. And for those hard-to-reach side buttons - I find that a big plus!! As I play a lot with lower DPS, there is a lot of movement so I use the side buttons as an anchor point when I sway from side to side. I don't have to worry that I'll hit those side buttons unless I want to by literally moving my thumb a quarter of an inch above. Guess this is one thing that for some is a feature and for others a bug. I really love the thing after first impressions! PS: I also considered the Model O Wireless but since I have 2 PCs on my desk, it's a dream come true having to use only one mouse by switching between BT and 2.4 WiFi.

I thought mine was the one of the few that had scratchy feet. I put some zowie FK2 hyperglides on it (my favorite type of mouse feet anyway) and made it amazing! No more scratching, perfect glide you expect from hyperglides of course. They fit absolutely perfectly if you line them up right. I wish companies would just wise up and realize that the 2 large/thick mouse feet are the way to go. I don't know why they go through all the effort to put some awesome tech into a nice, lightweight shell, only to skimp out on the design of the feet.

Bought this for productivity and gaming - I have my work Laptop connected with Bluetooth(must have) and my gaming PC with the dongle. I think it works for me in this case - I do agree the price point is a bit high. I just got it but so far I am enjoying the mouse - I was using a Zygen NP - 01 for gaming and a g305 for work. Gaming I'll probably switch between the Zygen np-01. Mine is not as loud on a Thor but the side button size is like walking on a tightrope.

I have batch 2021-01. Feet are thicker, frame does not creak. Hard to actuate side buttons. Significantly improved imo. I have used one at launch and it was the same as in the vid. Awful. gave it another shot cause of the shape and honestly. Very satisfied. Even with the stock feet it glides like butter.

Great work! You said the mouse feet had good glide, but wouldn’t the scratchyness create some drag on the mouse?

They glide smooth-ish like if they were thicker it would be even smoother and there wouldnt be any friction from the scratchiness. But im not sure if its the thickness alone or the thickness of them plus the fact that they arent the best designed. Overall - its a pass

Almost didn't buy it because of this but the feet are perfect on mine. It glides better than any other mouse I have including the GPW and Viper Ult and the GPW has corepad skates.

Same, mouse still going strong or me. I changed the feet to corepads but, that's a preference thing. Nothing was wrong with the originals. My buddy got a newer version and they thickened up the stock feet too.

I have this mouse and I've honestly never noticed this sound and it doesn't accumulate any material off from my mousepad. I also wear a headset most of the time, so I don't think most people would hear the difference if they're wearing a headset. My biggest issue is the sleep timer being "off" and it still goes to sleep after just a few minutes.

Just to let you know I picked up a revised version yesterday with updated mouse feet, paracord usb-c cable included in box, and 66 gram weight. I came from a wired rival 600 and can say that I’m extremely pleased with this mouse. It’s smoother on the mousepad, ultra light, and the battery lasts a long time.

my copy did the same thing, i took the feet off and put the solid center of some GPW sensor feet i had, a little smaller then the original but fixed the issue

Also, I agree with the weird way that you update the firmware. Luckily, I have a lot of other mice that I could plug in to finish it; but when you update the firmware, it tells you to, first, plug the mouse in via usb cable, tells you to unplug the mouse, then tells you to connect the mouse via the usb wireless dongle, but doesn't allow you to use the mouse itself AT ALL! So you have to plug in another mouse or use your keyboard to click the continue button to finish the firmware update, ridiculous.

I am not sure why you were having that scraping problem. I got my Aerox 3 in today. No firmware issues or problems with the skates. I main the G Pro wireless and so far the Aerox's shape and tracking feel are making me consider using it as my main. I also really like how stiff the scroll wheel is.

0:00 exactly like the viper mini but noone talked about it. It can't be that hard to design and build a proper near perfect gaming mouse. I feel like a lot of companies just flood the market with mice just for no real reason. Only the xm1 (at least v2) was a rly good release. Also love the honesty in your vids! Keep it up 😊

I just got mine yesterday. I have the exact same issue. The feet is not good. I also have issue with saving the settings on the mouse. I turn off the RGB to save battery but everytime i restart my PC, the setting reverts.

Hey, I am looking into getting a new mouse, what mouse would you recommend? A couple of my friends use the g502 hero, so I was considering buying that, but I’ve heard that it’s a bit too heavy, so now I’m looking into a new mouse that is hopefully in the same price range and a good quality mouse. 502 its a bit heavy for shooter but works fine i play in 2000 dpi and 30 sensitivity, if you want a Light u can go with the g pro its around 70-80g its wireless It last around 48h with the rgb off the price is around 100 bucks

I can see that the issue is frustrating, but it's probably a simple fix, just the feet being a bit too thin or the edges aren't rounded off and have a rough edge (could try rounding them off a bit, going around them and putting pressure on the edge of the feet with the back of your thumb) If it's them being too thin then plastic of the bottom is probably touching the mousepad, as you stated new mousepads could be the solution. But wierd that I haven't heard of this issue in other reviews, maybe it really is the just unrounded that for what ever reason aren't round on your copy

Right now it’s 2021 they made an Aerox 2022 wireless and it has the 100% Virgin Grade PTFE Glide Skates like the Model O and Model D.

@toomuchtech, Yea the feet are bad but my deal with the chord version is it has lost tracking and clicking ability on more than 5 times and it's not my pc. All my other top mice work fine. Unplug it and plug it back in it goes back to tracking. Either way I mean I see this kind of shouty work in 25 dollar mice. It's already in return to Amazon mode. Had it for two days. Yea it's a peice of crap and so was the Rival 3 Rival wireless. The Rival 3 Wireless would not except keyboard binds for in-game bindings.

It's his pad, not the feet. That being said they aren't the best feet. Aftermarket skates are dirt cheap though.

I don't know man, I got an Aerox 3 like yesterday, and it doesn't make this sound at all. If I had to compare it, It make the exact same sound as my G305 (bit higher pitch tough). I don't think the mouse feet design is a problem since it worked great for me, this is obviously not as smooth as hyperglides but this is good enough. Rocket Jump ninja and randomfrankp also have an Aerox 3 review online and didn't have issues with the mouse feet. Maybe you got a faulty copy and Steelseries needs to check their quality control. For the side buttons, well I was maining a Rival 110 back in the day so they didn't bother me one bit. the first one is harder to press than on a Rival 3 Wireless which is kinda odd. I can understand why people don't like them but in the end I think they are usable, even if not great (I might add that the mouse made kind of a scratchy sound in the first 1 to 2 hours of play, but really after that point it has wore off and was fairly okay.)

@@gttrmgc3284 yeah at first I saw that there was no glides around the sensor (that is usually the case) and thought that this was maybe the cause of scratching, but in the end it was not since it is smooth right now. My only complain would be that the feets are a bit too much centered and thus cause sometimes the mouse to angle on its sides when flicking, causing a slight scraching sound. It take a bit to get used to, but after I noticed it, I took me 5 to 10 min to correct my hand and not having the issue. That is the only source of sound that could cause the sound we hears in this video.

I have Aerox 3, G Pro and G502 all wireless on my desk with Roccat Kanga mouse pad - Aerox has the most quiet and smooth glide of the three. The real problem of this mouse is terrible jitter of sensor and very poor software that is unable to use settings consistently.

On my copy mouse button 4 is broken. When you press it it just stays in the shell at times. Already have to get a replacement. Other than that I love this mouse more than my burst pro. If the new copy I get has the same problem I'll just get a viper ultimate.

That would be something I'd jump on also! But the sidebuttons need to be better.(less pre travel) and ffs what is the plastic "feet" around the sensor... Noone asked for that. Just a tiny change in the moulding tool.

@@carsob8383 bought the aerox 3 wireless. Wish i didnt buy it as it is one hell of a downgrade from my MX 2s. Battery doesnt even last a week and you have to click on it to turn on😂

Mice for medium hands maximum, you shouldn’t buy/use it with larger hands otherwise the side buttons are hard to reach. I only buy mices with small side buttons.
