I think the reason she's willing to risk the universe for the sake of getting her daughter back is similar to one of my favorite villains of all time, Nox from Wakfu. To paraphrase: "If everything works as planned, all of my wrongdoing will have never happened, not even a distant memory, completely erased from history. And if it fails and the universe is destroyed, frankly, I couldn't care less to live in a world without my family."
We always make our own shamrock shakes! My mum does it, so I'm not sure of the exact recipe, but it uses (at least) vanilla ice cream, mint flavor, and green food dye. We top with whipped cream, green sugar sprinkles, and chocolate syrup. It's super good!
If you take your research at all seriously you will find that there is not concrete evidence for the existence of a soul in general, and the plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'. Like; I'm not seeing a lot of info online but from what I'm hearing in this video is it really surprising that a naval officer who was probably already a xstian or other type of theist came to this conclusion after having a traumatic experience and then talking to a bunch of people who's job it is to tell people that paranormal stuff like that is real? Also; aren't sailors some of the most superstitious people there are? Also it's kind of interesting to me that she went to mediums and psychics first and not a psychiatrist, a grief counselor, or actual scientists. And then she just HAPPENS to become one herself and not only that but the Harry Potter main character super special protagonist of psychic school? Like; of all the things that didn't happen; this didn't happen the most.
Gotta say, I'm always bummed when Nick shows too much of their spirit science side. I love listening to them dissect media surrounding the supernatural, but this is like being really engrossed in someone explaining their favorite comics, only to on occasion be reminded that they think Spider-man is real.
