U should watch Enchanted {underrated Disney movie}, the Toby McGuire spiderman movies, and the Mask/the Truman Show/Man on the Moon {any Jim Carey Movie tbh}. They’re amazing movies, it’d be great to get a reaction video, but honestly ENJOY THEM AS U PLEASE!!!!!🤩
the fact that dylan probably thinks the series slowly turned into this alien and human species thing over the course of the entire show ..nah man they did this in one season 😭💀
Yea the show had already jumped a couple of small sharks here and there but the last season jumped the prehistoric megaton shark and broke everyone’s neck. They really didn’t need to go there
Agreed. The whole alien thing was dumb....a species that "tests" others and commits total genocide of countless species, has issue with Clark killing people....right.....
@@GuillaumeT96 It wasn't bad, the idea of the seasons were really good, but the Execution was sadly quite bad, but that is somewaht the case with the whole show, but its not as bad in the first 5 seasons, they even bring some very good Continuity into the final seasons, but the Execution outside of that is just Extremely Chaotic.
@UCIYrhaxAAuoKD6Y_ts0YV3w they went on a sorta hibernation thing while traveling to another planet in a spaceship. two of them stayed awake to control the trip and they had a kid and then died of old age. while in the spaceship. yeah.
@@spacegirl9006 absolutely.. kinda sad he didn’t witness the madness that occurred in the last couple of seasons, but also kinda glad cause he would have torn them to shreds
i think it was very easy for her to pick what she chose to believe in since she literally did not know any better like she lived under the floor until she was dropped down to earth when they found her lol
Honestly Eliza Taylor (Clarke) is one of the best actors on the show. Once the writing actually started getting good, you could really see it. Idk, maybe I'm emotionally sensitive, but she really makes you _feel_ the trauma Clarke went through.
I dunno, she was a weird one. Like you say, I think she did the emotional scenes really well but her general dialogue and delivery was pretty shitty at times
Lmaooo she was easily one of the worst actors on the show…Wanheda 🤣🤣🤣 nobody felt more forced and awkward than Clarke, the only one who comes close is Abby. Grown-up Hope was cringe af too. It’s such a shame how bad they whiffed on Clarke with the terrible acting when so many of the other women were great and super savage….Octavia, Raven, Echo, Emori, Diyoza. Everyone around Clarke really carried her through the show.
Yeah season 1, especially the beginning, was cringey, but you can see Eliza and the other actors improve throughout. My favorite acting from her is in season 6 when she’s playing Josephine playing Clarke and when she’s playing Clarke playing Josephine. But she’s great throughout in emotional moments too.
Honestly I think Lindsay Morgan ( raven ) was probably the best with the emotional and heart-wrenching scenes. I felt all of it through the screen, as if it was real. When she watched Finn die, to her at mount weather, to her leg, everything she gave was so powerful. I love her both as an actress and a person, definitely my favorite character. I haven’t seen much from Clarke. Her character is just cold. Even from when her mom was about to die by Alie, Clarke has very little reaction. And I understand that that’s more so just her character but I definitely wish I saw more from her. Rewatching the season again though, and I think I’m on season 4-5 now so I still have time to change my mind but raven has my heart
@@Unicat9 That is so baffling. He did everything in his power not to make fans happy, those same fans that are supposed to be watching the show? LOL, that's one way of running a show, I guess....
@@dheu I stopped watching when I realized what kind of showrunner he really was. He's one of those runners that thinks show=art and therefore he has no obligation to please any fans. But I think of it like this- if I go to a restaurant that advertises amazing italian food and then they deliver me burnt store-bought pizza, I'm gonna be rightfully mad haha.
"They fight for leadership, but they also fight for each other on bed." Even Dylan sorta ship Bellarke in the first few minutes. Sad how they ended tho.
I just binged this entire series with my bf and let me tell you EVERY TIME Bellamy and Clarke were on screen together I was like 👀👀👀👀 AND THEN SHE JUST KILLS HIM????? HUH????
They got married after S6 and then lost a child and the Bellamy actor missed half of S7 due to depression, so to reward them the showrunner made them lose a child in the show and made Clarke kill Bellamy. How messed up is that?
“Where’s Bellamy?” Oh Dylan, don’t even get me STARTED. He was one of the two central main characters and the producers/script writers literally gave him the most USELESS and most anticlimactic death on this show. In a show where aliens and space travel is a norm, death by gunshot wound has got to be the most disappointing thing ever.
Agreed! But also to add to this: there were rumours (honestly not even rumours it just makes sense hahsh) that J R had a toxic relationship with Bob Morley behind set. So he spitefully meaninglessly killed off his character :)) and used Clarke to do it (ofc) because that would piss off the fans and the actors the most. Imagine developing such a good character for years only to trash is last minute. Only personal emotions would do that.
@@melancholy_joy Yeah I heard about that as well, that pettiness was one of the things that contributed to the downfall of the show. Not to mention one of the script writers was hell bent on killing as many main characters as possible. It’s why I blame the production team for ruining this.
Pretty sure Bob had something happen in his personal life and requested time out.. so the writers had to adjust last minute. They also kicked one dude out of the show for a bad joje on twitter. Plus ofc Alycia (lexa) left for fear the walking dead
Not even to mention WHO freaking shot him, and while he was UNARMED. Worst death for any beloved character. And for all those who wanted Bellarke (myself included), couldn't have done those fans worse than that. And after years baiting it, too . . .
What bugs me is the whole plot point of a few seasons is literally fighting off implants that take away emotions and put you in a virtual world that seemed so much better than earth because "humans need emotions it's what makes us blah blah blah." Only for everyone to be like "eternal life and happiness in an unknown place? Hell yea, sign me up!"
I mean, wasn't the actual problem that Alie wasn't giving them a choice? Literally Clarke asks her to give people their emotions back and let them choose and only after she refuses does Clarke have to shut her down for good. The real problem was robbing people of a choice and deceiving them and torturing them to get them to submit. With transcendence, it seems you're presented with peace and then given a choice. So all the actual problem presented in the 3rd season don't actually come to play here.
@@hinata1ize Choice is still an issue with transcendance because humanity only gets a choice to transcend or not once their representative passes the test of worthiness, and they didn't know that they would get that choice. If that representative doesn't pass, then the aliens eradicate all of mankind with Gen 9. As far as they knew, alien species decides their fate, and it's ready to either eradicate them all unprovoked, or fundamentally change the nature of their existence without consent. Then, plot twist, the aliens were like "mankind is good enough to be one of us, so you're good enough to have freedom of choice and stay human I guess :)". This season was about taking a leap of faith and being rewarded, but the writers went about it in a way that I find inconsistent with earlier themes
@@hinata1izethis and allie was erasing any memories connected to pain, even the whole existance of loved ones who died. When you transcend, i don’t think that happens, it just seems like they all become one or whatever.
I mean from half of season 2-4 were really good, though the show was underfunded for season 1 and they cranked the bsometer all the way up after season 5
@@yjlom i like seasons 2, 6, 3, 7 and 4. Season 1 was boring as hell and what was even happening at season 5, the plot was all over the place. And we have great villains like Cage, Russel, Pike, etc. But the main antagonist of s5, Mcreary was literally the worst villain of the show. Again, I still really like the sow but often times it gets too confusing and all over the place
As a super fan who nearly quit several times, I ultimately loved that final moment just because I love these characters so much. I am the type of person that can excuse a crazy, convoluted story if the characters are enjoyable.
Also the creator if this video is terrible with context for the first episode and it bug's me fr. It seems he's trying too hard to make this show look bad.

@@madie2643 Agreed, and I believe that was the route the writers were gonna go for, hence the whole “End of Book 1” thing at the end. The last 2 seasons suffered because they ignored the most important element to this show, realism and apocalypse, yet now they encounter an alien cult with a magic tele-porter? Yeah definitely not the route they should’ve taken.
I can totally understand how cringe the last episode must feel if you didnt see everything before. For me, i cried almost all of the time. It's so much more impactful when you bonded with all the characters over seven seasons
This comment right here! I still get teary eyed when I think of the last episode. I was an emotional wreck for 3 weeks after I finsihed the last season. The show was a roller coaster, but the way one bonded with the characters, you just want the show to continue no matter how bad it gets. Still mad that they killed off Bellamy right before the transcendence. He should've been there in the last episode.
@@spacegirl9006he saw how she was starting to become a badass but he didn't get to her full blown bloodraina arc yet. He only got to season 2 when he watched
I love how everything is so chaotic in this show. Things always gets from bad to worse to even worse and so on. There is almost never any moment in the series where "the good end is unlocked"
It's a post apocalyptic show......did you really expect rainbows and sunshine. So destruction, loss fit as themes to this show. I mean you could say the same thing about Game of Thrones because it was ,chaos , betrayal which were overarching themes for the show. But saying so doesn't take away from it because that's part of the core themes
@@jayywstaken "Gladiator cannibalism" was necessary to prevent long term starvation ....The farm's plant proteins had began to fail on their yield and would do so for a year so they needed to look for a vital potential protein source (which was them). They had no room to neglect the fighting pits as a source( as it was the only viable source) and they had no room to allow people to starve themselves( as they would on the long term loose nutritional value which was a critical resource that was needed to be preserved if they were to ever survive that one year) . I'm sorry if you see this as eerily brutal but dehumanization and hardcore survival are major themes that run in post apocalyptic shows /literary work. Although I gotta say ending the world in the fifth season again became quite repetitive and uncreative
For your curiosity Bellamy died at the hands of Clarke in like the second to last episode. She killed him because he became a dick because of falling for the cult bullshit (which turned out to be kinda true) and because Bellamy was threatening Madi (Clake's "daughter"). He was extremely badly written in this season because he had some stuff which prevented him from being there to record a lot of time and so he was only in like half the season
They could've written Bellamy different for the final season and still give Bob Morley the time off he needed. Instead of how they did it. So he would be in the final scene
@@Toscanemoses no disrespect but when i see people saying this... it DOESN'T make me feel better?... this isn't about Bob and Eliza this is about Bellamy and Clarke... the point is i wanted Bellamy and Clarke but instead i got Clarke murdering her ''bestfriend'' for fucking Madi????? i’m sad by the fact that Dylan will never witness Blodreina, literally one of the most violent shit the show had and he will miss it 😭 for the ppl who had not watched the show and needs context for this part: they had to hide for a second time bc the earth was going to shit for the second time so some of them hid under ground with Octavia, who turned into a crazy dictator and ruled over everybody while making “fun” fights between ppl to kill each other (like some gladiator shit) and then the ppl who died were feed to ppl still alive BC they were going out of food and they couldn’t get out of that “basement” and also bc she is crazy af (they had another option to feed the ppl, but she said “nop, killing is better”). that part of the show was veeeeeery freaking wild and crazy af, tbh my favorite part of the show so i’m sad Dylan will never witness it, it is everything he wants lmao also another interesting thing was the whole mind drive shit, but they took it tooooo far.
@@franciscaballesi8095 hahah i just feel like pll was pretty consistently bad the whole time so the finale was expected. but the 100 had SOME really strong moments and potential, but the finale was just a whole bunch of nonsense
As far as I’m concerned, the show lasted 5 seasons. Watch seasons 1-5 and STOP 🛑 We survived the end of the world (again) and we have a second chance on this new planet. This time, we’ll do things right. THE END
It really hurts watching the first episode again but I guess I was the target demo when it came out. This show was really carried by the character growth. Almost every main character had a massive change besides Clarke, the main character.
There was a tonne of growth for these post apocalypse survivors. Not mental or spiritual, but enjoying a poutine with every meal type of growth. They did exceptionally well with their available calories.
I've only seen this show season 1-5. However, I did know how the show ended. To me, the end of season 5 was where the show really ended. To be frank though, the show should've stayed like seasons 1 & 2. I loved the rustic built up from the ground, learn to survive style of the first 2 seasons. Season 3 with the chips to the city of light, and season 4 with Primfya were just not the same.
Yeah well the seasons 5-7 really go into explaining the more behind the mystery of why the world ended up how it did. It gives answers to pretty much everything, including Becca’s life and her true plan, the AI, the primfaya, the first commanders and how they came to be worshipped, what the Elgigius Missions were and their destinations etc. Everything is explained. If it ended in season 5 then it would just remain an unsolved mystery.
The immense excitement that comes from Dylan not taking show recommendation but doing first and last for the show you've been dying for him to watch is unparalleled.
This show has so much potential. Don’t get me wrong I watched every single episode and I loved it but it would of been so much better if they focused on the themes of season 1 & 2. No need for the aliens, after life, and different dimensions
The way he looks Octavia like if she was a good sweet girl but then you look season 3-7 and you get the idea of what she was (specially in season 5) she was such a badass cannibalistic warrior HSKAHSKAJ omg I love her
Oh man, this is going to be wild. As someone with a The 100 tattoo (“may we meet again”) I can confidently say this show had the worst last season of any show ever.
I gave up on the show after two seasons but I remember seeing the final season trending every week. It was literally fans talking about the shit writing. As someone who has also felt that pain, my condolences
“This was shot like none of the people wanted to be here.” Bestie, you’ve never been more fucking correct. I can guarantee that more than half of the cast did not want to be filming this season because of how bad it was. The actors were asked in interviews how much they liked the ending and every single one made it seem like they never acted a day in their life with how “stoked” they were for the ending. You could tell that everyone was upset with how it went down
every time i see clips from interviews i laugh my ass off when the interviewer asks what they think of the ending and you can see everybody's expression change
@@stellamoro1689 yeah i definitely prefer the first episode over the last episode because they genuinely thought that it was a good way to end the show, while the first episode was just basically an experiment that could be corrected later on.
I hated the end of this show, BUT… one thing is clear, Octavia has one of the most impressive character arch ever! I love the development of this character, it’s amazing really. Who knew once we saw the pilot that Octavia Blake would be the best thing in the entire show huh lol
She ended up being my favorite by the end but I found her annoying as fuck in the beginning. And I would agree with the character arc being one of the best ever, I certainly didn’t see it coming. She’s a lot like Blair from G.G. You hate her at first and by the end she was my fav character.
Dylan: "The only fans left, they needed to be satisfied." Literally every fan that made it to season 7: *Shouting in rage and left deeply dissatisfied with the entire 7th season* The entire season filled me with rage and I'm quite literally still not over it.
i'm an year late but its so satisfying and emotionally painful at the same time how Dylan understood how important Bellamy was to the show and suggesting that they should've revived him at the end, that is still the most aggravating moment a show has given me... justice for bellamy
Dylan: "He has terrible fashion sense. It's like he is wearing a shirt on another one." Also Dylan: owns a shirt that makes him look he's wearing a backpack.
I have been looking for a shirt like Jasper's for a while now. But all I am seeing are the words "Earth Day 2052" in green font on a plain white or black shirt. I don't want a plain shirt I want one that actually looks like the one Jasper is wearing.
Admittedly, a lot of the reason I finished The 100 was to say I did it. I don't stop TV shows once I've started them unless they truly suck, and I watched the pilot when it came out. A lot of it was nostalgia and sentiment, and I literally just finished this today, it took me a while to get through Season 7. But I'm still glad I did.
Lexa was such an underdeveloped, ruined character tbf. The whole Clexa debacle was so rushed and ridiculous aswell. I do not understand how it go as popular as it did (prob cus they were bith girls tbh, if lexa was a guy everyone would realise how rushed and utterly ridiculous that relationship was)
@Diamond James its crazy tbh, clarke went from being betrayed and capture by lexa, to supposedly being in love with her in like 2 weeks. Not to mention she forced her to kill her love interest at the time (finn). It just made no sense, they also only knew each other for what, days/weeks. She is supposedly still distraught by her loss like 5-10 years later, give me a break.
@@jadeturner2921 She wouldn't have had to mercy kill him without Lexa's involvement. Obviously the situation is a lot more complex but that's the core of it. Lexa wanted Finn to face justice for his crimes and Clarke didn't want him to suffer.
I feel like a lot of people enjoy seasons 1-5 (the cringe factor decreased substantially in season 2). It had some of the best character development I've seen on television, a wonderful slowburn romance -- yes, romance, and the moral dilemmas were fantastic. But I'm glad you were spared the pain, heartbreak, frustration, and gaslighting most of us endured for 7 years. I have still not recovered after that ending, and I will never touch the show again.
i strongly feel they should of ended it with season 5 because honestly we didn't need to know what happened on the planet should of left that to the imagination of the viewers, it was fine letting earth die and arriving someone new not knowing what happened next
If you watched the show... what Olivia said would work in that specific context where half of the soldiers own her their life and loyalty and the other half was mind washed into beliving the only way to survive is to transcend...
no literally because clarke does so many more morally grey things then bellamy but bellamy's had more of an impact because of his character development
i started watching this video then found it interesting, watched the show all 7 seasons- over 4 months and now i'm back to finish the video 😁 best decision ever because this show was amazing and so much better than i could've expected (even though the ending or last couple season were a little sub-par) it's so funny to see dylan react to all the plots and lingo at the end it really makes me realize how crazy it all is in comparison to where they started 💀
when blodreina burned down the algae farm it didnt make sense to me at first but after rewatching the series (had to, needed to prove a point to a coworker) i understood why she did it. she didnt want to continue living in the bunker anymore now that they were able to get out. she wanted to leave that place and leave the bad stuff that happened there behind. move on and start anew in the valley. thats why she made the choice to force everyone to fight. to go to war.
I gave up on the show during the daughter subplot because it descended into so much craziness that it was too much for me to move past mentally. So I hadn't realized Bellamy had died. Well, googling it, YOURE TELLING ME CLARKE KILLED BELLAMY??? THATS WHAT SHE WAS REFERRING TO WITH THE GHOST LADY WHAT THE FUCK!! If I hadn't given up on watching it, I would have been pissed as hell with how invested I had been. Props to the writers for being willing to kill off a main character, loss of props for killing them off for Clarke's unlikable daughter.
To be fair, Bellamy kinda turned against them, he joined the cult and went a little crazy, I've loved him throughout the whole show but they did him dirty towards the end
The worst thing is she killed him because he believed in ascending or whatever and wanted everyone to do it and in the end it happened anyways.... Useless 😭😭 I was so mad
@@m43lys13 WTF??? The writing in the beginning wasn't like, anything revolutionary but it was compelling in it's own way, not to mention it helped to establish rules in a society that we're familiar with but still different. But when it got later on, basically everything after Lena's death was so bad, but then the daughter plotline made it unwatchable. The entire likability about Clarke was that she looked on the side of reason, but never abandoned her morals for it. But as soon as daughter entered the show she went scorched earth for anything and everything. Plus her conversation with the ascension people was so bad, any other time she's had political talk she's been endearingly honest, but with the alien people she was just condescending and bitter. I don't think the ascension should have even happened. I thought the goal from the beginning was to be human and to connect with earth, so to leave the show off with another escape from earth sucks

Honestly the best thing about this show was character development in earlier seasons which is sadly the one thing you can’t get out of first and last, besides from drastically changed characters like Murphy
It went out if this world, beyond, & then back again. Yeah it was a shiiiit-show, but it was definitely a messed up not reached that insanity of shiiit-show I'd ever seen in a shiiit-show before!
I actually liked season 7 a lot and especially how WEIRD and out-there the show became. Space travel, gods, ai baddies, Cryo sleep.. insanity and chaos I loved it.. Just sad for my boi Bellamy and Kane 😢
One of the things I love about the show is how morally grey everyone is. I mean the main character alone commits genocide and kills so many people. The 100 is really not afraid to fucking kill everyone and it's great
Not everyone in this show committed genocide. Bellamy and Clarke pressed the button. Monty for example is not morally grey in my opinion. But yes most people in this show are. But still not on genocide level.

You failed to mention how Octavia acts nothing like a kid who was hiding in fear for 16 years, she should not have that much spunk. And Murphy was the best character on that show.
