'From dusk till Dawn, 'Natural Born Killers' and 'Sin City' are all great movies, each with different kinds of influences by Tarantino, some more some less, but i bet they would be fun to watch for you! ;D
You guys pitched the shit out of that. I think you guys should be sponsored by everyone. You guys could sell me two left shoes that I never thought I needed. But now I do lol love it. Awesome job. Love the earrings Hanna ❤
LOL Hannah going "Yeehaw?!" might be the funniest single moment i've ever seen in a reaction, the way she delivers it is great and the way Ash just breaks down when she says it, pure gold.
Legit mate during editing I was crying laughing because you can tell she’s so upset and trying not to cry and shocked and sees my reaction and tries not to laugh 😂
@@justtrustash Lol yeah so much about that moment is hilarious, her saying "Yeehaw?!", your reaction to it, then her reaction to your reaction, i was legit almost on the floor 🤣
@@justtrustash haha You 2 are the dam funniest couple hands down! I didnt know about a "gimp" either until a few reactors explained, and HOLY Shit WHEN she said "yeahha?- I died laughin too🤣🤣
I completely laughed out loud when Hannah said the Gimp was probably some poor guy who went into the store to buy a guitar. I totally agree!! Great reaction.
You nailed it Ash...Tarantino treats his audience like they are grown adults that will understand what he is trying to do without it being dumbed down and spoon fed to you like you're a 2 year old. His writing is just impeccable.
he was actually helped in this one, thats why its so good, and doesnt self indulgently go over the top at the end like all his other films(!)... endings are the hardest things to write if you think about it, and they were done very well here.
That's probably because she's been hearing about "the gimp" since the 90s, but didn't realize that popularity of thinking of one as a fetish-related idea likely originated here. So MANY sayings and facts from this movie are common knowledge now, but weren't then. (Gimp isn't necessarily a sexual thing, but most people relate it back to this movie in a s3xual devi@nt moment)
My wife hears me laughing at the video, she says " tell me when they get to the Gimp part" 😂. We laughed so hard. Thanks for this one! Really have to do "From Dusk til Dawn". Tarantino is a main character in that one. It's a great movie with some messed up scenes worth the watch!
41:40 "Aw I just shot Marvin in the face" is just a brilliantly comedic line. And you're right when you say they don't act like they just killed a guy, it's given about the same energy as a flock of birds shitting on your suit. It ruins your day and it's a mess to clean up, that's all Marvin was to them.
In the beginning of the film in the cafe, you can actually see John Travolta's character walking to the bathroom in the background of the couple planning the robbery. Tarantino is a genius.
If you want to find a next level of depth to this movie, consider Jules' three interpretations of the Bible verse at the end. The first describes who he probably was at the beginning of his career. He thought of himself as a righteous gunslinger. He was playing out a fantasy. The second describes who he had become leading up to the events in the apartment. He had broken the illusion that he was some action hero and adopted a sort of nihilism - he was simply a product of an evil world and had no choice in who he had become. The last was what manifested after what he perceived to be a moment of divinity. He accepted the responsibility of being a moral agent of his own making and chose to attempt a life of virtue. His spiritual journey is subtle and easy to miss, but it gives a whole new context to everything that happens in the movie if you manage to catch it.
He also describes himself as deciding to become like Caine from the Kung Fu tv show. Earlier in the movie Jules tells Vince what a tv pilot is. What we are seeing is the pilot episode of Jules new life as a Caine-like figure wandering the Earth.
My favorite part of your reactions is the genuinely good-natured banter and ribbing between the two of you! Can’t imagine enjoying these half as much if either one of you were missing. Can’t wait to watch this channel grow!
I stumbled across this channel yesterday by complete accident and i've got to say.. you two are some of the most intriguing people lol your reactions are great.
Ash: Sometimes all I need is a slap. Hannah: I know that. Hannah: Oh it's a sex den. Ash: How did you know that? Hannah: (Mona Lisa smile) Honestly, you guys are the shit.
Tarantino worked in a video rental store that played movies on TVs in the shop. He often caught films half way through, so watched them without context, then watched the beginning afterwards. This inspired him to compose this script in the jumbled order to reproduce the experience he felt watching scenes from other films while working.
My expectations for this one was so high and yet you both somehow exceeded them. This is a reaction i will return to every so often because it really was that good. I'm sure you will get round to True Romance and Reservoir Dogs at some point, Tarantino's writing is very similar to Pulp Fiction in those two and i'm sure you will love them as much as i do
I swear Hannah reminds me of a redheaded British Chloe Moretz, kept trying to think who she reminds me of and it just hit me lol. Love both you guys, such amazing chemistry.
@@ADR199E On the contrary, every few months I come across a few for movies I love but I end up seeing too much fakeness and conning and I start removing them from my recommendations.
I’ve seen hundreds of raid shadowing legend sponsorships from hundreds of other creators… but I think this is the first time I didn’t skip and actually clicked your sponsor link. Get that bag! -Lots of love and support from a fan.
Ash is the best 🤟🏽 I inject his vibe in my vains 👍🏽👌🏾💪🏾🤌🏾👏🏾 Can't lie though love when ash does the reacts with Hannah or His Fam always a plus seeing more people reacting to the movie greatness ✊🏾🤙🏾
Hannah's face expression when Ash asked her how does she know what Gimp is 35:15 ...... I'm so DEAD! 😂😂😂😂😂 Also, the biggest let down of this channel so far: Ash likes the steak well done. What's next? Socks in sandals? Anyway, great reaction! The chemistry between you two guys... 🎉 Hope you'll watch the Reservoir Dogs one day.
Yo! You guys would fricken love Mars Attacks. It's an all star cast. Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Michael J Fox, Jack Black, Tom Jones, Danny Devito, Sarah Jessica Parker, Natalie Portman.
Pulp fiction starts off with a non linear storyline and eventually makes them intersect towards the end. No ones the main character here. Everyone is a main character in their own story.
I love your both. Your banter and discussions are amazing. I think you learned a thing or two about each other during this movie! XD I need to find me a Hannah in my life. Great reaction. Jules and Vincent exiting the restaurant to Surf Rider, stuffing their guns in their shorts is such an iconic scene
Fantastic reaction, guys. Ash, when he shot Marvin in the face, your face had me dying. Omg, Hahahah! And the way Hannah got so nauseated by those guys in the shop was crazy! She`s like, "These are the worst people in the world!" LOL! I swear, you guys get better and better every time. Keep it up, because its really becoming a big deal whenever I see a new upload by your channel. Love it!
By far the funniest reaction to Pulp Fiction on RU-vid 🤣🤣🤣 and also probably the best. Great observations, opinions and commentary from both of you! Really enjoyed it!
Indie~film, that Euros crossed me up with, in the 90s. Yup, it was in summer camp. Unreal. Few parents lets kids see this film. People ran back into the theatres after doing a re~see. . .
Guys, thank you for your reaction to this. This is my favorite movie, but it is also a favorite movie of my 74 years old Russian grandmother. She usually prefer old soviet films, but this one is her #1 movie of all times, no jokes. May be you can watch "Shutter Island" by Martin Scorsese one day, very original movie with great plot and best twists. Also I remember you were talking about reacting to Korean "Oldboy" one day. God bless Ukraine 🇺🇦 🙏
“And you’ll know my name is the lord. When I lay my vengeance upon thee.” The way Samuel L Jackson delivers that line. It just iconic. My favorite storyline in this movie is Jules and Vince. Honestly I’d love a movie just about those too. And mate, ya girl is just gorgeous.
Fun little fact in Alien vs Predator Requiem, the Predator that comes to solve the problem that the other predators made, was called the wolf based on the character in this movie. Because he solves problems and covers up things that no one else has to see or know about
I love pulp fiction, but my favorite (and favorite MOVIE of all time) will always be Inglorious Basterds. Something about that movie just feels like a flawless experience from start to finish. Anyways, love your guys reaction as always!!
@@mattiasandersson8693 I didn't get the bad rap that h8 got at all. I know it was a lot slower than most of his newer ones, but it hands down had some of Tarantino's best dialogue, and the cast was fucking phenomenal. Definitely not my favorite, but not even close to the bottom of my list either.
Oh my god, I’m crying laughing! You two are the absolute best! Hannah (indignant): Ash! Have you given a foot massage! Also Hannah: THE GIMP!? It IS a sex thing! This is more entertaining than most tv shows. You two are my favorite!
drug accuracy in films is something i'm waiting to see. nobody snorts a big line of coke then chows down on a burger. been a coke-head for a while and as a film lover i'm also baffled.
My girlfriend introduced me to this film after I took her to see Reservoir Dogs (Tarantino's first film), and I was blown away by it. There are only a handful of movies that I really fell in love with. This is one and "Sin City" is another.
"JTA'S HANNAH'S 'GIMP' SCENE" needs to go viral! (@ 35:04 It's an instant classic!) I laughed so hard I had to pause and rewind the video and it took me several minutes to recover and then seconds after restarting the video I had to do it AGAIN! So glad I wasn't eating or drinking at that moment in the reaction LOL! YOU TWO ARE THE BEST, THE ABSOLUTE BEST! THANKS!!!!
@ 38:25 : ASH: "cuz I'm shocked at what I'm seein' on this screen, YOU KNOW ABOUT GIMPS, this happens, I mean, what is going on!?" Hannah's facial expresson... omg I just busted up laughing.
Just for your info, there is a popular theory about the item in the suitcase: Remember the first time you were introduced to Marsellus Wallace. The first shot of him was of the back of his head, complete with band-aid. Then, remember the combination of the lock on the briefcase was 666. Then, remember that whenever anyone opened the briefcase, it glowed, and they were in amazement at how beautiful it was; they were speechless. Now, bring in some Bible knowledge, and remember that when the devil takes your soul, he takes it from the back of your head. Yep, you guessed it. What is the most beautiful thing about a person: his soul. Marsellus Wallace had sold his soul to the devil, and was trying to buy it back. The three kids in the beginning of the movie were the devil's helpers. And remember that when the kid at the end came out of the bathroom with a "hand cannon," Jules and Vincent were not harmed by the bullets. "God came down and stopped the bullets" because they were saving a soul. It was divine intervention. Both of you are great!
Omg! So I swear to you, I never saw this theory whilst I was editing it..I saw the 666 mark and I was like oh my days..Marcel has to be the devil and the brief case has souls in it! Blew my mind, I just hope it’s true
Hey guys. I really like the interaction you have together. Lots of drama, laughs but best of all you love each other and it shows. Just remember to never go to bed mad ad each other. Your reactions are pretty good as well. You jump to conclusions sometimes but eventually you see the bigger picture. You say what many of us are thinking but keep to ourselves. I especially liked your reaction to The Green Mile. Nice work. Cheers!!
This is one of those movies that are a gold standard for reaction videos. Arguably, the list is: Pulp Fiction The Green Mile Starship Troopers Clerks Airplane! Alien Either Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz Bonus points for Aliens, any of Jackie Chan's older movies, The Shawshank Redemption, and Reservoir Dogs. It's hard not to gauge a reaction channel by Tarantino's debut film.
Don't worry Hannah I watched this with my mates when we were fresh faced 15 year old babies and I was the only one knew what a gimp was too! they never looked at me the same again but at least they know now Ash does too haha Expect to see your man in at least the mask next video ;) Great reaction as always guys 😎
Omg this was the best especially when Hannah was like “oh the gimp is”…like an A level student and Ashe’s reaction 😂😂 I was having a stressful day and you guys made me lol.
I swear this reaction just turned my day around.I cannot stop laughing!!🤣🤣😭 And the Lovely Day sing along in the beginning…!💖💖💖💖👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you guys.🥰 Oh…the diner where they filmed the movie is like right across the street from my apt…they have great Cobb Salads.🤷🏽♀️😂
Every Pulp Fiction reaction, I just have to know how people will handle the basement rape scene. It’s too disturbing, but also too integral to the story. Damn you, Tarantino, and your excellently twisted storytelling.
I saw this movie in theaters in 94'. I'll never forget, everyone in the theater stood up and clapped at the credits. Just an FYI, Marvin was an informant for Marcellus, that's why they didn't kill him in the apartment. To date, my favorite movie of all time. By far, the "coolest" movie I've ever seen. The dialogue is perfection, every scene is very memorable. This movie, revived the career of John Travolta and made QT a Hollywood legend overnight. The diner scene is my favorite of all time.
One of the coolest movies of all time. They don't make them like this anymore. Yes, Tarantino is a freakin genius. Keep up the great reactions brotha Ash and sistah Hannah. Aloha
What’s even cooler is that in the beginning of the movie with pumpkin and Honey Bunny, you can see Vincent get up to go to the bathroom in the background!
Can’t wait for the ancestry results! They always amuse me. Either they are varied which is super cool, or the person gets surprised by the results which is often funny. When those tests first came out, my dad got so excited. He loves looking over our ancestry records but they don’t go back very far on his side because we descend from people who hid in the hills and changed their names to get out of fighting the American civil war. So he did the test and his results came back something like 98.something English/Irish/Scottish. He was so sad because this was when the tests were new and he thought they must be a scam. So my mom did one too for fun and HER results came back SUPER varied. Like 70something English/Irish/Scottish and then a whole bunch of other stuff to make up the last quarter or so. So my poor father kind of blinked and said, “Oh, sweets, your results are so much more interesting!! I wonder why mine…. Oh… OH.” And he just looked at me and said, “I guess I’m just the whitest man alive.” 😂 I imagine if he did the more advanced ones now he’d get more info, but that was still one of the funniest moments ever. Cause for results to be THAT high in one background….. I mean… we do come from Appalachian hillfolk…. So I’m guessing…, probably some inbreeding there. I’ve thought about doing one myself, but I’m afraid of the results!
Some may find quite trivial that Butch risks his life for a watch; however, it was the only memory Butch had of his father. He did everything for Butch could have that watch, so it was such an evidence for Butch that his father loved him. If we analyze this at this perspective, it does perfectly make sense why Butch is willing to risk his life for that watch.
