Me and my friends got really stoned and watched old cartoons on RU-vid that we used to watch when we were younger and it had all the old commercials included too and it was a really weird night. It just feels weird to have all those suppressed memories of commercials and stuff brought back up. Especially as an adult, makes you realize how fast time moves and how you never get it back
If I'm 100% honest this made me feel slightly uneasy. ALMOST an eerie feeling thinking about the old memories and easier times. Then flashing right back to me in my room with the war in Ukraine going on amongst other terrible things. Wish we could go back 15 years

Somehow, the Nick Magazine commercial triggered a memory I had from early elementary school, where I had forgotten to do a project or book report and remembered as I was watching TV. I didn't remember this until I saw and heard the girl swinging on the rope and it flooded back so clearly, about 20 years later....
If only things were still like that nowadays, with cartoons actually being funny and enjoyable instead of being overly dramatic (Infinity Train and The Owl House for example) or overly disgusting (Teen Titans Go!, The Loud House) and TV channels had variety. Although streaming didn't exist yet, smartphones didn't exist yet, and the world wide web was relatively new.
OMG exactly. It gave me a little nostalgia in the beginning but then it just felt weird. How young we were seeing all of these commercials. We were putty in their hands. And all the shit my parents bought for me. All probably in a landfill somewhere. They talk so much shit about millennials and such but they molded us to be as we are.
My mom never let us watch Disney or Nick or cartoon network. Seeing these reminds me of when I'd goto my cousin's and was able to breathe and be a kid and be myself without my abusive mother around

Do you ever think about landfills and how all this stuff like toys from the 90s or even the 80s or further back are in there, not breaking down, just sitting there under mounds and mounds of newer stuff. Never to be seen again but still existing... What kind of crazy old stuff is on the bottom or in the middle even.
