I know what you mean. Listening to this as I write my fifth book, self publishing trying to get relevant. This has been my repeat, and I've loved this song for years. His cardboard castkes album got me through the first three books
Okay but genuinely I just woke up at 4am and for absolutely no reason this song was in my head after like a decade of not hearing or thinking about it what’s up with that. Kinda still goes hard though.
I never realized I was so influenced by this man until today somebody said I was like Eminem in my writing style but my flow was very dramatic in the way I cling to every word use pauses to emphasize a point. It's kinda crazy going from that kid in middle school bumping this and other artists only to see myself as a young adult combining different elements of every artist that's inspired me.
