Oh damn. I had no idea. I like that Mexican restaurant that was on my video. Not sure if they still play live mariachi music. But, the last time I was there 6 years ago they didn't miss a single note the entire time.

You know, The only real great thing about Watsonville, is, It’s in between Santa Cruz & Monterey. Both huge vacations spots & Also fun fact, It’s the center of CA. That’s where it splits from NorCal to SoCal. Oh, & the best weather year round, usually.

Yes, the Plaza across from El Rico Pollo, and Ford’s Department Store; near Taylor’s Hot Dogs, (the old) Watsonville Library, the Boy’s Club, Bonanza 88, etc. Thursday night was cruise night since the town stayed open until 9PM. (Rather than 6:00 PM). Taco Bell, near Notre Dame Elementary School and St. Patrick’s Church, was frequently the “turn-around spot” (or Golden West Pancakes, which enabled one to re-cruise Main St. I’m referring to the 70s and the 80s. The 80s was so “live” and awaited each week that “out-of-towners“ came in droves. Consequently, downtown Main St. was packed along the sidewalks and storefronts at night, and traffic stood still or crept. This caused the WPD to end cruise night but it also left so many with nothing to do. Statistics will verify crime goes down, not up, when such activities are allowed to prosper, when properly policed (Community Policing).
