Power 5 (4) do not get auto bids it’s the 6 highest ranked conference champs, it’s just assumed that they will make it automatically for awhile. Once players figure out they can go elsewhere, we may see a season where a power conference champ doesn’t make it. Also, I don’t see Ohio state winning the big 10, I would put money on Oregon
@@Bravesfan12345you may be right but they bring back nearly everyone on offense and a lot of the D. Still like their chances , ask Ohio st if they have a good team
@@AlphaKappaLambda1992do you really think OSU cared about the cotton bowl to the same level as Missouri? Heck, OSU reprimanded a lineman (Hinson) for saying how little they prepared for that game. If that was a playoff game Missouri would have ZERO CHANCE.
Idk about LSU bro. They would've barely made it at 12th this season with jayden daniels and a bunch of great receivers. i know their defense should be improved but they still don't really have the players on that side and their recruiting has dipped. plus they have to play Oklahoma, USC, UCLA, A&M, Ole Miss & Bama.
The piss poor LSU defense had nothing to do with the jimmies and joes. Tigers have recruited very well on that side the ball. The coaching staff and scheme were pathetic. That's why CBK cleaned house on that side the ball. Bo Davis and Kevin Peoples are two of the best in the business. DC Blake Baker will have the defense in a much better place. Great receivers grow on trees in LA. Check the last 10-15 NFL drafts to see what I'm talking about. Nuss showed in the bowl he more than capable of running the offense. OLine wll be top 2-3 in the country. LSU finished #5 on 247 and on3 for the '23 cycle. In '24 as of now 247 has them #5 and last I heard On 3 had them there also. Not much of a dip my partner. Tigers still on the recruiting trail. Still in in for 5* ath/wr/db bussy from texass LSU 3 biggest games for '24 weebels, gumps and the cheaters all come to tiger stadium. ole miss and bama both went down in defeat last time there. Right now LSU in a better spot than the other 9 opponents.
unlike Colorado and Ole miss transfer portal kings, Kelly building from high school. Kelly playing long term game. LSU failing off in recruiting, if the 2025 commitments sign that they said are coming to LSU, LSU will have 6 out the top 10 players in the nation. But lsu falling off recruiting, keep living under a rock.
I think you gotta include memphis in here. I like the pick. They won ten game last year and easily beat a decent power five team In their bowl game. Plus you add in the fact that Tulane lost their head coach and SMU left, I think they have to be the favorites for the AAC. They have a tricky game against Florida State. So I hope the committee doesn't hold out against them if they don't do great, Like it punished SMU for playing oklahoma this year. With a four year returning starter coming back at quarterback and their top wide receiver, Things look up for them
@@Wavyarchive_ No, they beat OSU at HOME, by six points. Two plays: first pick by Ford McCord and none-int call in the end zone. I think TCUN loses four games in the new B1G.
You say it is an easy schedule for FSU but then put 3 teams they play in the top 12 and you said miami might also be one? Be realistic and accept that FSU has a quality schedule with only one fcs team.
@@Bravesfan12345 draft picks, national championships, non conference top 25 wins, teams in the top 60 on offense and defense. You know numbers that matter
Memphis most definitely is the favorite for G5 schools. The BIG 12 is kinda wide open next season. Watch out for Tennessee, Mizzou, Ole Miss, maybe even Michigan
@@THA_MALIGATOR no depth and I wouldn't call them loaded. Lost the best RB in college football. Added a WR who can't stay healthy. Added a defensive tackle that hasn't lived up to the hype. Added a defensive end from Florida who is pretty good. Added another defensive end from Tennessee who is slightly above average but not elite. Plus a coach that chooses away games. Need to see it from them
As for the big 12 I feel like it is the most unpredictable conference. We all know the top potential candidates from the other conferences but in the big 12 you have teams like Arizona(I do not know how they will do though with their head coach gone) Colorado with their potential with all of their transfer players, Utah with the mentioned reasons, Kansas State with their new QB that looked extremely good in the bowl game, and Oklahoma State with 19/22 starters returning for the next season who already proved that they can be a good but they also have the potential to go up in flames as seen in the South Alabama game, UCF game, and Texas game.(I am an OkState fan so this opinion may be a little biased)
I agree with you. You never know which team will emerge. I don't think any conference has as much parity From top to bottom. It wouldn't surprise me if any of the teams in the conference won it next year.
@@GR-bn3xj I think the only surprises would probably be Huston, Cincinnati, Arizona State, or Baylor. But 12/16 teams all in potential contention is impressive compared to probably 5/18 in the big 10 (OSU, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, and USC), 3/17 in the ACC (FSU, Clemson, and Louisville) and 3/16 from the SEC (Bamba, Georgia, and Texas with slight potential with Missouri and Old miss)
@@ericrenner8761no just no. The sec has UGA, bama, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss all in contention this year. Big 10 has OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, USC all in contention. Big 12 has Utah, Kansas State and Oklahoma State, not even close
@@tannerjones6564 You are dead wrong, yes the 3 teams you mentioned have a shot but teams such as Kansas, UCF, Colorado, and Arizona all have potential to jump to the top of the big 12. Big 10 only has Penn state, Ohio State, Michigan, and Oregon. USC will be a 8 or 9 win team because they Lincoln has no ability to build a competent defense. Now their offense is elite but they gave up almost 50 points to Cal. As for the SEC, bama lost a lot this offseason with Saban retiring but they will still have a decent season for normal team standards. Just not good for bama standards. Texas lost a lot of great talent to the draft with both of their D tackles, their top dback, and their best wr. OlMiss will probably be good because of the amount of transfer talent they got but Georgia is most likely to win the sec with a perfect record because they no longer have to compete with Saban and the refs. Yes they are losing Brock Bowers but Georgia is able to recruit at such a high level that I would be shocked if they drop any more than 2 games. They also have a sower taste in their mouth from the rigged SEC championship and being the only team to go from number 1 in the nation to out of the playoffs. In other words, Big 10 has 4 candidates, SEC has only 3 possible candidates, and the Big 12 has at least 6 candidates all to possibly go to the conference championship
@@ericrenner8761 in the SEC there is bama, UGA, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU , Ole Miss, Tennessee, Mizzou who could all be a playoff team. The big 10 has OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Washington, USC that could make the playoffs. The big 12 has Utah, K state, Arizona and Oklahoma State, nobody else is a threat. Stop with the BS
If you look at past years the 11 spot has 90% of the time been a 9 win team. Also more good teams are playing each other, so it’s almost guaranteed there will be 3 loss playoff teams
I’m just glad to see that no one is even trying to say that Bama won’t make it in. The season will tell us but it’s good to see no one is counting us out.
Don't count out Ole Miss. They have a not so sneaky slam dunk transfer portal haul that will likely get Kiffin over the hump and win the big games. They will be very good.
A perceived dynamite portal class can sometimes fall flat on its face. Like the late great forrest gump said. A portal class is like a box of chocolates. You don't know what's inside.
At this point ginger the Michigan hate is fucking crazy bro. Every single time. You picked Penn state for the upset didn’t happen. You picked Ohio state. Didn’t happen. You picked bama. Didn’t happen. Now you have Penn state and Ohio state right back above them again? When will you give this team the credit they deserve dude this is getting ridiculous, you clearly just like Ohio state more than any team it seems. Interesting.
They very well could. If you look at the 11th ranked team of past years they’ve had 3 losses. Especially with the harder schedule some 3 loss sec teams will make it.
am predicting there will be four SEC teams with ten or more wins, georgia, texas, missouri and either ole miss or LSU so yes, a 9-3 unit will fall short
Memphis loaded up in the portal on defense to go with a top 10 offense. They didnt allow 1 rushing yard against Iowa St in the bowl game. Was 10 point dogs and covered by 10. So + 20 vs the spread. This team has its starting QB and top 3 receivers with the coach returning. This is a dangerous team. Returning 18 starters. Lost Watson Likes Arku Scates. Thats it! Also picked up South Carolina leading rusher! Mario anderson!
Yeah, way too early. Players and coaches are still being swapped around. There are deals to be made! Who knows what players will show up for each team on August 1st. College football is a mess.
Fake news. But keep your hopes up. The preseason is the only time you can make the sec championship. You and Vanderbilt are lone company in being the only teams to not make it.
Got a bunch of guys from the transfer portal that haven't done anything since high school. Princely is good, diggs is good but he isn't Jutkins, Juice can't stay healthy, Nolan hasn't lived up to the hype and everybody else couldn't make it on other teams. Plus a bum DC
This is very optimistic I'm pretty sure that the only representation you're getting for other conferences are coming in the champions I think the 7 at large bids will be split between sec and big ten maybe a notre dame
I feel like the Big 12 is more likely to cannibalize itself. All of the teams other than probably Baylor, Huston, and Cincinnati have real shot at beating anyone on the right day unlike other conferences such as the B10 where there is no way a team like OSU or Michigan loses to a team like Indiana. Now I am a big 12 fan (OkState) but I don’t see us getting more than 1 in unfortunately.
@@ericrenner8761 Big12 champ should be locked in… we are talking about 12 Efing teams… if you want to talk about canabalizing what do you think the SEC and BigTen are gonna do?
@@dacokc We have seen how the SEC has only 1 or 2 dominant teams in Georgia and Alabama but I think Georgia will dominate this coming year due to Saban retiring and bama bringing in a coach that has very little experience with SEC teams outside of Texas. The Big 10 on the other hand only has 5 real teams in Michigan, OSU, Penn State, Oregon, and possibly USC if they can get a defense. All of these teams play at most 2 of each other which is no different than the last few years. The Big 12 champ is a 100% lock but I don’t think the runner up will be in. But it is all speculation and I hope for the health of the conference that we get multiple teams in the playoffs.
ND is going to be winning every game like 17-10. Riley Leonard is out of his element. He was good as a nice little sleeper QB under the radar at duke but he's not going to even be Sam Hartman in terms of production.
Why not? Look at their schedule, who are they gonna lose to lol? Ok. State? Pretty much the worst defense in the nation? Arizona? Just lost their head coach and all their best players? Ucf? Again bad defense?
With all the talent that Ole Miss has coming in and returning on both sides of the ball and not put them in the playoff...it just proves that you are a hater of them. They have probably one of the easiest schedules and could easily go 11-1.
~ I'm sorry... But Oregon has the 3rd best talent roster in the country and return their entire coaching staff and have a top 5 QB in the nation along with most of their 2 deep after 12 wins.. I'd put Oregon at 3 or 4
There’s definitely teams in the Big 12 that can beat Utah. Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Kansas, UCF, and who knows what Colorado looks like in year 2.
We only slightly worried about a totally revamped colorado team. As a Utah fan, we are not scared of anyone in the B12. BYU did ok in your conf, we'll crush you all. We crushed everyone in the pac 12 except for Oregon and Washington, and those were even rlly close
@@connornielsen6790 barely beat Baylor, a bottom feeder in the Big 12. Lost to Oregon by 29 points, lost to Arizona by 24 points, and lost to Northwestern. As an Utah fan, you should be a little more quiet.
@@gijakobyou do realize Utahs team last year was missing most of their talent because of injuries and are getting them back for 2024. Perhaps you shouldn't judge Utah by last season because if the BIG 12 does they do so at their own peril.
Michigan lost more than anyone, they won't be there. Mizzou lost a lot of talent and defensive coaches. Ole Miss is a wait and see with all the new players and most of them haven't done shit other than being a top high school recruit
No! Really?!!!! WTH?! That's the system?!!! Are you sure?! I hate it! That's garbage. Winning a conference championship shouldn't make you automatically have a bye and be in the top four!!!! Yeah, it should get you a spot in the playoffs.... But not an automatic CFP top 4 ranking! The system has to change fast! Because that is horseshit! There's no way this is going to last more than the next couple years.... This is the worst idea I've ever heard!
They have a top 10 defense and 9 out of 11 starters were injured the whole year on offense. Look at the two years before that. We still have all those guys from 2021 and 2022 and we were scoring 35+ ppg the whole time. Injuries killed us. And with how unbelievably bad every single defense is in the big 12 (none inside even the top 35) Utah's offense will shred the defenses they have to play. Ok state has a great offense but one of the worst defenses in all of college football. Arizona is losing their coach and practically their whole team. Who is Utah gonna lose to??
They didn’t have an offense this year due to multiple injuries, including the QB. Quit opening your mouth if you don’t know what you are talking about.
This might age very badly but I think Alabama will not do good. Without saban it will not be nearly the same. Many recruits already decomitted Edit: for everyone saying that Alabama is still going to be good, they have 27 players in the transfer portal as of right now
They'll be fine in the grand scheme but their fans are gonna have to accept the days of recruiting in the top 3 are over. 10-2 Bama will still get the benefit of the doubt though.
