There will never be another Waylon Jennings and there will never be another time like that in America we have moved beyond that and it’s very sad actually
This, boys and girls is how a true Outlaw looks and performs. No posturing, fire works, goofy dancers, or countryfied country clichés. Just a true individual "doin it his way" and owning the stage with his talent.
@@veryinteresting591 No they sure don't anymore. It's all auto tuned bullcrap, even during live shows so no one hears hoe bad they otherwise truly sound. Sell their souls to Trashville for a new image and "sound" that sells and get dropped later for the next big thing in a few short years. Giving yo who they are just to be fake and make a few million dollars. No thank you on that nonsense, I could never change who I am for anyone personally.
Putting a Stetson on Pop performers is how I see alot of this recycled noise... There's still a few giving the 🖕🏼F.U. , to the record companies and producers . We may have advanced in some ways but this isn't recreated coming back ..
This is true country WAYLON and a good friend of mine Duke Goshe playing base. Duke left Waylon in the late 70s and became a construction painter I worked with Duke for several years great guy. Hell of a guitar player he was from Washington Park ILLINOIS.
tommy peterson, you hit it right on the nose, these newbies in the music scene let it be rock or country ain't nothing but a bunch of cunt punks thinkin' there outlaws. fuck em all and long live ol' waylon.
Written by Lee Clayton, first recorded I think by Tom Rush on his "Ladies Love Outlaws" album in 72 . Waylon does a fantanstic version, and fits him but sometimes we forget where original credit is due. When I found country, I was listening to psychedelic. the Dead, Airplane, Byrds... etc... and discovered all their roots were country
Lyrics: Bessie was a lovely child from West Tennessee Leroy was an outlaw wild as a mink One day she saw him starin' and it chilled her to the bone And she knew she had to see that look on a child of her own. 'Cause ladies love outlaws like babies love stray dogs Ladies touch babies like a banker touches gold And outlaws touch the ladies Somewhere deep down in their soul. Linda was a lady blonde and built to last Benny was a no-good guitar picker runnin' from his past She heard all of his songs tellin' nothin' but bad news But she made her mind up to try to get him win or lose. Ladies love outlaws like babies love stray dogs Ladies touch babies like a banker touches gold And outlaws touch the ladies Somewhere deep down in their soul. Jessi like the Cadillacs and diamonds on her hands Waymore had a reputation as a ladies' man Late one night a light of love finally gave a sign Jessi parked her Cadillac and took her place in line. 'Cause ladies love outlaws like babies love stray dogs Ladies touch babies like a banker touches gold And outlaws touch the ladies Somewhere deep down in their soul. Ladies love outlaws like babies love stray dogs Ladies touch babies like a banker touches gold And outlaws touch the ladies Somewhere deep down in their soul
