Trying out the recently assembled Woodland Mills WC68 on a Kubota B2601. Tractor seems to have plenty of power for pieces up to 4" inch. RPM stays steady too. I had the feed rate set to 3. Only problem we had was the Red safety bar/direction control kept popping into neutral. I think it has something to do with the chipping vibration or hydro feed rate set to high. Thank you for checking out the video.

nice !!!! I need one today for a willow tree project at oldest sons house. I dropped 4 yesterday evening along his fence line all 20" bar didn't cut all way without working both sides. Grand kids today get to haul brush to city provided 2 ton stake truck. The big problem is truck bed is at least 4' of the ground lol

Sounds like fun 👍 It took about a hour to chip up our pile. Now I think the plan is to back down the trails and chip. No more dragging out stuff. Have a good weekend.

Looks like your tractor handled it well enough. After you run it awhile, I bet you will have it down. Great show, Jason

I keep all the wood over 2½ - 3" for kindling, learned it from my grandfather. He kept them for my grandmother's woodburning stove so that in the morning, she could start the stove easily. It burned hot, and coffee & breakfast was ready in no time!

I also tried mine for the first time today. Had the same problem with the handle bar, but the tension is adjustable behind the plastic cover. I tried only a few branches and it did not "eat" them as i expected. That is because of the paint on the knife edges on the in-feed roller. That paint will disappear quickly and than the sharp knifes will bite better. Tomorrow i will do some more work with it.
@MJADoingStuff
@MJADoingStuff 3 года назад
Thanks I will have to adjust it then because it was driving me crazy 😜 the b2601 could take more. I had to hold the bar to get though the big stuff. Thanks for letting me know about it being adjustable👍😁

@@MJADoingStuff I have a Valtra A75 with 75HP so therefore i took the WC88 chipper. For the thinner branches i can use the 540E gearing, so the engine is going on lower rpm. Think i don't need the 540 beacause i won't chipp over 4" All over 4" will be firewood. There is still a lot of snow here in the north of Sweden. When that is gone i will chip the hell out of it :-))

Happy anniversary! I don't have that issue with the handle. I think you can snug up the mounding bolts to add just a little more resistance? Are you addicted to wood chipping yet? Nice job, and beautiful property! -Ed

Thanks! Ed just got to dial it in I guess had it up to 5 on the in feed for the first big piece then backed off to 3. Yep 👍 we are wood chipping attics for sure ran though that pile in about an hour 😁 yeah can’t wait to do more. Thank you for checking it out.

Tighten up the red handle mount bolts they act as kind of a clutch. It won't kick off like that.

What is the PTO HP of your tractor? Mine is 18HP I think, wondering if it would run this chipper.
@MJADoingStuff
@MJADoingStuff 2 года назад
19.5 PTO HP
@mxzrxp
@mxzrxp 2 года назад
My 1025r runs it all day ling without even a bog, 6" logs (although rare) chip with ease. Problem is, it is a bit heavy if using a iMatch Quick Hitch, but as far as cutting goes a 1025r is plenty! amazing really! Anything greater than it's 18 HP can only be better, it is ALL about input feed speed. More HP faster input... So yes you are good with this and the 8" opening width helps with oddly L-shaped branches!

definitely limb those branches to reduce the infeed pressure, you may also need to adjust the hydraulics ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HsaYyjoVxv0.html
