Hasbro will always be my favourite line because they just took off like wild fire here in the UK and when I was a child these (and the WCW galoob) were the must have figures. Galoob figures were great but they missed the boat with so many huge characters back in 1992/93. Big Van Vader, Stunning Steve Austin, Bobby Eaton, Ricky Steamboat ect ect
The Sliver Shamrock Shirt....Awsome!!! That damn jingle though makes you want to shoot your damn tv every time it comes on.Stacey Nelkin was hot in 1982.Halloween III is a cult classic.
pillman did rock the baby blue tights on a few occasions, i got some wrestling cards with him wearing the blue and i believe it was great american bash 88 he is wearing the blue with the bengals camo in it
Us folks in the UK didn't get WCW on a saturday morning, we get WCW worldwide during late night/early morning between anytime from 11:30pm to about 3am.
It bothers me to this day that we never got a Tully Blanchard Galoob figure. I want the best version on the Four Horsemen! The Nature Boy, Double A, Tully, and Windham.
Yes agreed. I think because the figures were based on 1990 happenings, and Tully hadn’t been in WCW since 1988. It’s a shame. And if Galoob produced another year or two we would have gotten Rude, Steamboat, Bobby Eaton, Austin, Koloff, and Vader.
Man I have to agree as well. That would have been awesome. And like Mr. Persky said if galoob would have went longer there are so many great figures that could have been made. I want my HARLEM HEAT GALOOBS!!!!
Diggin'the new set up and that Silver Shamrock shirt! Now I'm going to have that jingle in my head while I try to get some sleep before work. Why don't you do a video on the OSFTM WCW figures? I see them in the background and there aren't many videos on RU-vid that focuses on that line. They're made in that LJN Wrestling Superstars style that we love so much and it's something that you've never gone in depth about on your channel.
@@TheNew80sRevolution Well, just talk about the 13 that you have. The line only had about 20 figures, excluding repaints, in that style. The roster wasn't nearly as deep as it should have been.
Loved this 1st series we got here in the U.S!!! They complimented the Hasbros so well. Upon learning of their existence, I immediately wanted to get a hold of the El Gigante figure, even if his pose was utter trash. That thing is huge!!! I imagine as a kid he would have done amazing splashes off the top of the cage, and REALLY high press slams!! lol That 3rd series had potential, but the overkill on the entrance gear figures is kind of a downer. They look cool enough, but for play-ability they are kinda limited. As you said, it really would have been pretty epic to see this line go all the way in the the mid and late 90's, knowing what we know now. A Galoob NWO three man tag set, lead of course by Hollywood Hogan, would have been AMAZING to have!!! Of course by then I would have been out of my playing with figures childhood phase, but I'm pretty sure for a Galoob Hogan of any kind I would have probably picked it up just as a nod to those years playing with these guys!! ........and a big thumbs up to your boys and their impressive aquatic feats!!!
I just started grabbing a few Galoob here and there but the Remco figures I'm about 7 shy of completing but they're all Mat Mania series so I'm screwed
what is up my friend ? ahh the second round of the wcw galoob review let the fun and memories begin. i remember finding these at hills. i did a bad thing when these first came out i stole the whole set at hills. i was a dumb kid that didn`t have any money. i would take one at a time and go out the store and hide them in the bushes on the side of building. i never understood the lightning bolt trunks i thought this looks stupid. i used to have the osftm version of that uk galoob figure in that same outfit. that was a cool version of sting
