Timing the bucket fills is a good idea, only if you have consistent water pressure year round from the municipality. Our water pressure in our hoses has decreased over the years since 1998 with all of the development in the area we live. Chandler/Gilbert border (Santan 202 and Gilbert Rd.)

Easiest way to eat moringa leaves is to add a little bit of oil, maybe quarter cup of oil to a pot, with 2 chopped onions, 2 or three chop tomatoes, fresh chillies and garlic if you have then ad in the leaves, salt and splash of water. Cook for about 20 minutes. Absolutely delicious

The biggest tip to growing tropicals is creating microclimates and getting soil right. Foliar sprays help cheat humidity needs and help water requirements
@GreeniesGarden
@GreeniesGarden 2 года назад
Those are great tips! The below freezing temperatures in the winter are usually the biggest challenge for tropicals in our yard, but it still comes down to microclimate and soil. Thanks for sharing!

@@GreeniesGarden what is freezing? (joking from San Diego area of Southern California). The more freezing the more it becomes a macroclimate for sure haha.

Do you guys have an inventory list of the things you grow in your garden and orchard areas (is that what I should call it)?
@GreeniesGarden
@GreeniesGarden 4 года назад
We tried making an inventory last year, it became overwhelming once you start looking at potted plants and garden vegetables and have to determine what counts and what doesn't! We'll have to make another inventory and post it sometime :)

Thanks for answering my question about the watering plan you have..... my 10yr old son and I like to tinker in the backyard, and I’ve rather begun to take a larger interest in gardening. We, too, live in AZ (Chandler) so we know the struggles of trying to grow anything green here! Great tip about the 5-gallon bucket.... it will be helpful to gauge what needs how much, for sure! Love your videos as they are so helpful in such a specialized area of the US! ❤️🐶

I just bought my first plant, it’s about 18” high in the nursery pot. It’s almost October 2020. How soon should I give it direct sun?
@GreeniesGarden
@GreeniesGarden 3 года назад
Sorry this is so late, but that would depend on the type of plant and where you live! In the Phoenix area, most outdoor plants should be fine receiving full sun in the fall, winter, and spring. Some plants are sensitive to frost, and others to extreme heat. Growing plants is a learning experience, so don't be too hard on yourself if this one doesn't make it -- and be careful, because it is addictive! :D Please feel free to email us if you have any other questions :)

It's a better shade tree than a moringa?

The moringa trees in our yard shed most of their leaves in the summer when we need shade the most, so we love to grow them but not for shade. :D

Haha, my previous comment was silently erased from your story... And after all I wrote it from one of the coldest place on the Earth - from Siberia-mother (Novosibirsk), with so much love and careful attention for both of your nice couple guys... Do you really guys hate such long comments (like mine ones?) so much so that you just silently erase any comments of those who seem strange to you? )) Then, sorry, I have to unsubscribe from you immediately. ) In any case, best of luck and prosperity to your SO beautiful garden! Deeply disappointed (from now on I will think twice who to subscribe on the next time). Well, thank you for the valuable life experience! ; )) Think twice please, before you're doing something.. Sorry for the crystal sincerness as I hate lies in any form of it.... By the way, 80-90% of Russians basically can't even connect two-three words in English language. This is our national feature.))
