I am white, but I am proud to know that I have black ancestry. Black people are good people.

Yes, all our ancestors originated in Africa. Some stayed in Africa, some left Africa. I am a middle-aged white man who grew up in the South. Even then, I always found it peculiar when black people were referred to as "colored" and European Americans as "white." That would imply that "white" was some sort of original color and anything that wasn't white was colored. But isn't white a color? And "white" is not even a skin tone. If anything, most of us "white" folks should be called "light pinks."

you have 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents, 24 GG grandparents, 96 GGG Grandparents, 384 GGGG Grandparents, 1536 GGGGG Grandparents, and that is going back only about 200+ years. Race seems a bit irrelevant when you look at it this way. Consider the population of your (believed) homeland, then keep using the above formula and go back just 400 years and you will probably find that you are related to EVERYONE who lived in that time in the place where your people came to call their homeland. Now go back another 400 years and you will certainly find that you are no longer even calling yourself what you think you are. Race is 100% irrelevant. 210 years more and you are related to 25,165,824 people. Which ones are the same race as you? Hmmmm?

My mother's side of the family always claimed to be Indian because of their hair and light skin color. My 23andme results are 51% African, 48% European, and 1% Asian. I showed them my results and they are still in denial.

African Americans are made aware of their European roots because it was out in the open. HOWEVER, it is a well known fact of history that during the Jim Crow era... many black American's that could pass for white did just that. They left their town and families and moved somewhere where no one knew them and lived like white people, married white people, had children and hoped that their secret did not get out. We are talking about thousands of African American's just falling off the radar and assimilating into white society in order to live a better life, free of racism and be offered opportunity because they could visibly get around the one drop rule which would have hindered them. This is why he mentioned wanting to test a white supremacist member. They probably have an African ancestor or are related to someone who experienced American slavery and don't even know it....

I read Sykes' book a couple of years ago, The Seven Daughters Of Eve. It was one of the most truly insightful & masterful scholarly work I've ever read. My information is that native americans and europeans are descended from a group of people who left Africa and moved into central asia. DNA analysis on a man in Uzbekistan showed that he has genetic traits common to both groups.

I am a 57-year-old white man my sister had a DNA test that showed European DNA middle eastern DNA which surprised me I thought I was 100% pure white no worries though I believe all people are equal I believe The black race is probably the oldest race on the planet I believe white people or a mix of ancient out of Africa peoples that mixed with Neanderthals I love watching RU-vid videos on different races different continents I love learning about different peoples it pisses me off when I go to the comments and a lot of people are just flat out racist mean and talk a lot of crazy bullshit I grew up in a military family I remember when I was a kid we had a lot of black neighbors for there are a lot of blacks in The military. It seemed always had black friends I treated them like family and they me. See in the military our parents may equal money one small Germantown we lived in, The man that made the most money what is a black man he was a three-star general I believe. See when your parents make equal money it takes the hatred out of the neighborhood. Military housing in Germany was fun fun fun we all got along I had a great childhood. Yes I saw minut racism but very very little most of the racism came from the kids that just moved from the states that did not grow up in military housing. When we move back to the states I was in seventh grade and went to school in a non-military neighborhood. You could call this neighborhood projects in San Francisco there I seen a lot of hatred that I wasn’t used to it kind of shocked me then I moved to a small town in central California somewhat of a cow town. I seen a lot of hatred in this town too. But I still remember my childhood and how life should be. I’m married now to a beautiful woman of European and native bloodlines. I have two grown boys they both have Indian cards I am so proud of them. I raise them to I have no racism my oldest son gave me a grandson. My grandson is of mixed race. His mother is Mexican or native I should say and father like me . He’s the most beautiful grandson I could ever have hoped for. I think all races have special qualities that I see.
