Easy on Gramps bro! He is right on wanting to weld a foot on one end of the welder. The oil pan should sit level so that the engine is properly lubricated. Some engines can starve from oil at an angle and some small engines can get too much oil at an angle. Hold a lawn mower at a steep angle for a bit and watch it start to smoke. That is a nice welder, it will serve you well.
When using a pulley puller, you have to snug up the bolts holding the arms on so that you don't bend the bolt like that. I've gotten flywheels off by prying gently on the side of the pulley to increase end play and striking the crank shaft end with a lead hammer or with a regular ball peen hammer, holding a piece of wood on the end of the crankshaft to strike against.
Dude I have an old Miller AEAD-200LE. I put axle, wheels, & a removable hitch so I can pull around with my tractor. Also adjustable foot to keep it level in front. I use it mostly when power goes out for my house. Twin cylinder Onan rips through the fuel thou.
It would fit its the same motor hahaha but i dont want to rob from it id like to get it running and probably sell the blue one i just really needed to weld the lock boxes on so i can feel safer about leaving thousands of dollars worth of junk in them hahahah
I’m sure it’s all good. We all get edgy, that’s just the nature of the beast. At least you had the decency to admit it. Hang in there Brian it’s all coming together.
Nice welder . But you need to back off Grandpa he is trying to help you. Cherish these moments driver ! And the way you talk to your mom is not good either. Now you are telling all of us that you cant tell the difference between cigar smoke and smoke from a fire. And if you could not breath because of her smoking you would have not been able to be so vocal and mean to the help . ! Congrats on the welder though.
