The festival was set from Sept 25 to Oct 4. Come experience one of the most popular festivals in Thailand. Don't forget to visit Wat Mangkon Kamalawat (Wat Leng Noei Yi) and Tai Hong Kong Shrine too. My wife and I are also in Bangkok now and will visit Phed Mark in the next days for the legendary Kra Pao. Your Video of Phed Mark was very nice. And so good to see that that street restaurant made it with Tofu for you. Let's go to Benjakitti Park in the evening. It's late in the evening. Another beautiful view. Nearby is the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center that just opened this month. Very nice interior and a very affordable food court.

Great to see you back in SE Asia. Looks like some fun times ahead. Laos and Cambodia will be great adventures for sure. Laos is bigger than most people think. The usual Vientiane to Luang Prabang track is great if done overland. The new train is easy but you miss a lot. Also there is a lot more to Laos than just that well worn path.(still worth doing though) I have always found renting a bike, 250 cc or so is a great way to explore. But over all developmentally it sort of like time travel back maybe 30 years in Thailand. The people are warm and generous, and by the way Dylan, Beer Lao, is fantastic and really cheap :) Have fun be safe and prepare for adventure.

I can’t remember whether you have been to Chiang Rai or not but that province is full of DON’T MISS destinations from the white temple to the northern most of Thailand. Give Chiang Rai a week to explore and I bet you will fall in love with it! Ps. Many more new places to be explored in Chiang Mai for you both too!

If you haven't booked your hotel in laos, book the ibis vientiane nam phu. There are many shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions near by.

Oh yea it was soooooo tasty 😍😍 we usually chose Agoda because of its price match - we haven’t had any issues thus far (but once we arrived and the hotel had gone bust… safe to say we didn’t have to pay but it was still not ideal lol!). Other than that we really get on with the platform 😍

Southeast Asia is one of the most underrated gems in the world. A dream of mine was to actually move to Vietnam for 2-3 years, but life headed a different direction for me. I actually think you guys look so comfortable in Thailand and SEA as a whole.

Wow, welcome back to Thailand and I am so envy that you have Pad Kra Pao with Tofu that is my favorite disk too especially Thai crispy holy basil with chicken and fried egg. Try Thai limes fish sauce too on top or mixed with sunny side egg. Now I am working aboard and so difficult to find Thai food and so expensive here.

Thai food is sooo good - we missed when we left too! It’s too expensive everywhere else (and even then it’s not as good!). We hope that when you return you will eat enough pad kra Pao to make up for it hehe!
