I missed the stream live, so I just got to fully go through the emotional experience of, “Oh, strange, normally the starting soon music portion gets cut out of the VODS,” looking at the “special musical feature” timestamp, then looking up to the music ID and saying, “Jacob!” out loud in excitement! 😊
I have this strange feeling of completeness rn because I’m music dumb, so I’ve been lowkey using SSS as music reccs, from Jacob’s talking about artists he likes to really good indie game OSTs, so the guy who’s been feeding me good new music suddenly providing an absolute chill banger of his own is just so good!
I had the EXACT same experience. Put on the VOD, expect the music to cut out. Go to skip, 'cause People Need Goals isn't my bag and it's what I was expecting, but then I see "Special Musical Feature." My brows furrow, and I look up to see. And you LOVE to see it
I hope Jacob considers composing something for a Drawtectives stint. Doesn't have to be the next season or even ever, but the prospect of seeing Jacob's tunes work in sync with Julia's illustrations is doing all sorts of things to my feelings.
It’s been said over and over again in this comments section, and it’s so true: Jacob’s intro song goes SO HARD. It’s insane how great and quick both he and Julia are at mastering new skills, Jacob with this and Julia with Drawtectives and learning Blender for a freaking Drawfee speed draw that one time. Just. Nuts. Absolutely nuts. It actually gives me a lot of motivation to attempt, and then really put my mind towards learning, new skills! So thanks y’all :)

you know these two are in their 30's because of the bed/sleep talk. I used to be able to sleep on the floor under a rug at a friends place. Now I have a special pillow, a special mattress, a weighted blanket and a body posture pillow. whenever I travel somewhere now I spend time debating as to if its worth packing my weighted blanket or if I will feel like i'm floating out of the bed until I fall asleep.

This opening song rips, Jacob. It’s music that would be playing in Michael Mann’s Miami Vice as Colin Farrell disconsolately drives his speed boat around, missing his doomed girlfriend. Amazing.

Jacob the song is AWESOME it's so atmospheric and has such depth! It brings you into a huge, spacious, rumbling environment mentally, it's really immersive.

3:33 I was just thinking about how chill the intro song is. It's got such great vibes that I didn't even notice I had listened to it for 3 minutes while waiting for them to start stream lol - I usually just skip ahead.
Holy hell, not that they're planning on selling it, but in that condition, that Rickenbacker is... worth thousands. And not like barely. At *least* $5,000 i'd say given the year range. I'm not a Rickenbacker expert but it looks like a 450 which was kinda their more economy point at that time, but 12-strings that aren't their 300-series are rare enough that might actually help its value. It'd depend on exact year but with a tune-up from a luthier (which you should absolutely get anyway), it should play great and the finish looks gorgeous so it shouldn't have issues. That is assuming it's not a knock-off. Knock-off brands were common at the time, and sometimes they'd fully go so far as to put the wrong name on, so it would need authentication. Again, not a Rickenbacker expert, just a luthier, so i'm probably just ignorant, but i don't know of a 400-series 12-string that looks *exactly* like that one in pickguard and finish, so knock-off *could* be the case. Still, they could be dang high-quality so could well still play great set up properly and be an awesome treasure. In any case, super neat guitar! Also wow that song is impressive as hell!
